There is a coffee bar where you can order a cup of coffee and or buy coffee by the pound. The staff are great, extremely helpful. On 2 occasions they brought me to where I was able to find what I was looking for. I love a grocery store that celebrates food. And excellent food at that. It's a wonderful place to shop and to bring delicious and fresh food home to enjoy wonderful nourishment.

Produce right in front of you, cheese to the left, florals and popcorn to the right. You just hit the ground running. Everything is well stocked and well organized. Sections like, plants, popcorn, pizza, hot foods, cheeses, produce, a gift store, a holiday section, candy, fudge, gardening, fish, sandwiches, bakery, meat and so much more... so much! They have so many unique ingredients. There is a lot of sugar free options, organic, etc. The staff are always helpful and engaging. Parking can be hard. Patience is the winner here.

I know I could easily run to Vitamin Shoppe for my fish oil, rosehip oil, sea moss or natural hair and beauty products- but honestly, I'd rather keep supporting Mother Earth . Every so often when I'm catching up with other shops in Kings Mall, I come here to stock up on a few things. While prices are on the high side, the selections make it worth it. When I stopped by recently, I got one of their smoothies, which was super delicious. They also have nice fresh-pressed juice, pastries and hot meal menus. Bigger applause for catering to Vegans and Vegetarians as well. Mother Earth feels like a one-stop shop. The shelves are filled with everything from supplements and herbs to skincare and unique natural products I won't find in any store- not even Vitamin Shoppe. The environment is warm, earthy and inviting- and can tell they care about what they offer.

After taking the order, the staff said they couldn't make the juice. Fine; we agreed to one smoothie split into two cups. Instead, they overfilled two cups. At the register, the owner tried to charge me for two smoothies (nearly $12 each). I explained we only ordered one smoothie to be divided. He looked at the cups and said they were full, so I had to pay for two. That's not how ordering works. If he had half a clue, he would've investigated further instead of immediately trying to squeeze the customer. He didn't. He then took one smoothie away from my daughter, said he'd divide the other, went into the back, came out with an empty cup, handed it to me, and told me to divide it myself. After the bait-and-switch and then adding insult to injury, I finally broke down and called him an M.F.; though frankly, that's too generous he is really just a low-life POS. He responded by calling me a cheapskate and telling me to get out (in front of my kids). For the record, both daughters also bought other items in this already overpriced store. This wasn't about money. It was about refusing to be taken advantage of. Maybe this kind of conduct flies somewhere wherever he is from, but it's not how business is done in the U.S. or in Westport. And last I checked, the basic rule still applies: the customer is always right, especially when the facts are this clear. Plenty of better options nearby (GG & Joes has better smoothies!). Very clean inside and organized. Checkout moved quickly with cashiers helping to move people along and scan items with speed. Prices vary; some items like Jake's cheeses were much lower than grocery stores in NYC/LI or farmers markets, other products were on par or more expensive than what I've seen, (psyllium husk capsules $20+). It pays to look around the store and compare prices. A good place to make a pit stop if you're on a road trip upstate or want to take harder to find items back home.

There are a few differences between the two stores, New Morning Market offers some more healthy options, such as probiotic items like sauerkraut and yogurt drinks. I found the prices to be comparable to Whole Foods, and some of the Primal salad dressings & BBQ sauces happened to be on sale, so I saved a couple of bucks on each one I purchased. Also, I picked up a High Heat Olive oil "On Special" as soon I had walked through the front door, that was a great deal too. I also noticed they have a fairly decent stock of supplements too. Staff was very friendly and helpful, I will be back occasionally to pick up speciality items in my diet.
