One of my favorite local markets, but today's pickings were slim. It's my own fault because I do believe that they get very large shipments in Mondays or Tuesdays so they are running low on inventory from the previous week. That being said, the staff is always very helpful here. I wish I could say the same for some of the customers who pick up something from the frozen food section and leave it in the dry goods area. Come on people with the cost of food these days why are you doing that? I needed a few freezer staples today - wasn't planning on purchasing any ground beef whatsoever from anywhere. However, the vacuum sealed grass fed beef was on special for 599 a pound, which is last year's price. So I picked up six and then the pork was on special for 399 a pound. Both are organic. I'm just crossing my fingers that Aldi isn't sourcing from questionable places. I have a higher level of trust for them than I do for other area supermarkets. Other fines would be split leg of Lamb $7.99 per pound but that was not in my budget this week so we moved on to the dairy section. Loaded up on half pounds of Irish butter at $3.99 per half pound. Some Irish cheese, Cabot block and some prosciutto. Organic half gallon gallons of milk were a decent price at around four dollars per half gallon and organic Greek style yogurt was my last pic from that case. Organic pastor raised eggs were completely empty so I was forced to pick up two dozen of the generic eggs at under two dollars per dozen. These are reserved for some baking projects that don't require organic. The line flowed quickly, and as I usually do, I let two people ahead of me because they were holding just a couple of things in their hands. And no one was behind me. We need to pay forward the karma wherever we can don't we? My hole was pretty good - fresh fruit - oranges, mandarins, a whole pineapple with the lid on lol, and avocados at $.59 apiece. They're small, but they're mighty. I struck out with organic produce and filled in some other items. I'm a huge fan of Aldi's. It's a perfect store for the budget conscious consumer - something to balance against the prices of higher, although also higher in quality, stores such as Adams Fairacre farms. This one hits most of the marks. Low prices on quality goods. I mean, where else can you find 79 cent avocados consistently, and walk away with a heavy bag feeling like you scored a good deal? I love their bread and snack selection as well. There are tons of self checkouts which is fine. One thing to note is that there are weird issues I've never seen at other Aldis before - a key example being the egg cartons completely soggy. It's happened more than once, so I think they need to invest in their maintenance/cleaning a bit more. read more

Aldi is a short stop to get a couple essentials that's priced a lil better. Organic milk, chicken and fish are my usually go to, plus some veggies and healthy probiotic drinks. I have yet made this my one stop shop for groceries. I use to get excited about Aldi finds aisle, but recently the aisles are just how messes of junk. I just left this supermarket and I have to say this is the worst Aldi I've ever been to. Everything was rotten. All the produce had mold, potatoes were soft and were growing hairs. The meat was freezer burnt (not a good sign). I was so nervous to buy anything here. We just bought milk and jam. The cashier was an absolute doll and so sweet. I just couldn't believe the cleanliness of the store and the standards. Even the shoppers didn't have good hygiene (so upsetting). I don't go to Aldi often but when I do, it's always a good time. This store isn't big by any means but it definitely covers your basics, while having some variety. A lot of the prices are also much more affordable than other grocery stores. On this visit, I was able to find a number of items that I haven't been able to find at the supermarket I usually go to. They have a pretty large bread section and there's definitely a nice variety. You can find pretty much anything you're looking for, and more. I also like that they're expanding their gluten free products. I purchased their gluten free General Tso's and it was amazing! I also saw some pretty large gluten free pizzas that I'll grab next time. Overall, I definitely like this store. My only real complaint would be the lines. There was one register open and a very long line. The frequent shoppers told me that this is always the case. read more

This store sucks it is run by incompetent idiots. First indication is the coin operated shopping carts. The only other store in the area that does this is harbor freight. Second indication is the long lines at checkout. There is no excuse for this in 2023. With self checkout and other technology available. I would have been in for 20-30 minute wait to buy four cans of sauce. No thank you. I put them back in the shelf and walked out. Other supermarkets have an express lane, self checkout and numerous other live cashiers, why can't Aldi do that? Having come here to shop today from a house in the northern part of the county, today's experience was interesting. Although they seemed to have been out of a lot of the traditional items, what made it more interesting is that when I came in here, there weren't any employees at any of the registers, and only a few employees were out on the sales floor collecting empty boxes from finished boxed areas within the store, and others restocking some the vegetables. However, I didn't spot a lot of the troubles I've seen with other ALDIs nearer me such as in the Kingston and Hudson stores. I didn't feel rushed around, like the Kingston store, yet I also didn't feel there was any sense of urgency to buy anything - though my brother was in this store too buying goods for an Instacart customer and my mom was trying to get me to buy some Peeps with $10 in my pocket, which I was trying to save. Although you could tell something was going on with the changeover's in-store layout, I didn't see some of the troubles Bill Z said about this store. There were no ellipticals near the door, but there were a lot of issues with missing products that sold out quickly before the visit. But even then, although they have their fair share of known brand-name items, most of their store consists of brands I've never heard of, and at some point, I might believe these to be store brands with some Keto-friendly and dieter advantages (organic, vegan, paleo, etc.) mixed in with healthier options. Signs were clearly seen - not like some of the signs I saw at my local Aldis. Instead of signs hanging from overhead, at this store, signs were at eye level, and what products might have been slightly overhead, weren't distracting me - even from the viewpoint of a motorized cart which I had later in the trip. And then comes the comparison of Aldis nearer me to this one from the vantage point of the cart and aisle paths. Most Aldis force you to go down one aisle and up another just to return a motorized cart - but not here. Here, as long as you swing into the store swing left and head past the checkout lines, and park them back by the door, I wasn't distracted trying to repark the cart - making this trip something more appreciated from an Aldi. But only if I could live closer, I might actually visit more often. read more

I'm really feeling the direction Aldi is going. I used to dislike Aldi's in general but it was always super affordable. Now, that they've revamped their looks (still warehouse-ish, but brighter and clearer) and updated/added new products, I love this store more and more! As someone who prefers to buy more organic, they've added a ton of items that are organic including fruits, vegetables and meats. They also have added many more plant-based products as well. This location in particular had some really solid options, even for my Mom who is one of the world's biggest critics ;-) if you haven't visited an Aldi's, I highly recommend it. It may be an adjustment if you've never been to a store like it but practice a little patience and explore their affordable and tasty products! read more

An updated review for Aldi is long overdue. The selection has massively improved. Their fresh vegetables and produce are good quality and unbelievable priced. They have started carrying lines of organic products as well like eggs, multi grain tortilla chips, sustainable wild caught salmon, frozen organic fruits and vegetables even high-quality olive oil. And the checkout process is super fast and efficient. I love shopping here; it's become a stop that I make weekly and save so much on my food shopping bill. read more

After several false starts, the Aldi taking over the space that used to be Borders is finally open. It would be nice if (as of this writing) their phone number would be posted somewhere. It's an Aldi, so know the drill: their own brand names, produce mostly bagged instead of in bulk, no credit cards or checks, etc. I guess each Aldi's has its own unique charms. In this one, as I entered and walked down the first aisle with snacks and cereal, I rounded the corner and saw... EXERCISE EQUIPMENT? Because how often do you hear, "Honey, I'm going down to the store for eggs and an elliptical?" Okay, it's not gymnasium-sized exercise equipment, but that second aisle has their equivalent of housewares. In general, it was about what I expected. It's not a place I feel I can do one-stop shopping for myself, at least not on a regular basis. But they have ridiculously low prices on certain things I do buy, such as cereal, frozen fish, specialty meats, certain types of produce, etc. And if you're shopping on a budget, consider this place. read more

Stanelle a cashier at the Wappingers Falls, NY location was very rude. I visited on 08/04/2022. Stanelle yelled at my 4-year-old son with disabilities just because he started coughing. I then said to her he does not understand, he is autistic and she went on to say, "if he was being taught he would know how to properly cough". I have been going to Aldi for years and I am sick to my stomach now. This is just a quick synopsis. The manager was no help either, he was so nonchalant about it when I explained what happened, he just said, "Okay, I'll speak to her later" and walked away. Fairly new to shopping here, but it is always an interesting experience. Hit or miss in finding things. Some standard items are always in stock in the same location, but other items grab them when you see them because they will disappear. Although the store is set up warehouse style, the employees are top of the line. They are so friendly and kind. They appear to take such pride in their store and you see them constantly organizing and cleaning. Worth a visit! Don't forget a quarter for your shopping cart! read more

Everyone wants huge saving along with all the extras. We all know in life it doesn't work that way. Prices are the same or CHEAPER than Walmart. Its not as big as its competitors, so you buy those things they have once a week and save a fortune, and not pay Targets ripoff grocery prices and not have to drive all the way to the Fishkill Walmart. The fruits I bought were fresher than Walmarts and even Adams. Can't beat their prices, the place is clean. So you have to bag your own products. Get over it. Its the way it is done in Germany and the way it should be. (It's a German company) They carry a number of organic products priced so low it would make Mother Earth's cry. This Aldi is great. It's big and is usually not too crowded. The groceries are good quality. The organic products (esp. the pasta sauce) are fantastic. You will save so much money. I've bought many of the non-food as well (we even bought 2 queen size foam mattresses that are super comfy!) and most of them have been great. There have been a couple things I've bought that didn't work out but I saved my receipt and returned them- no problem. I love this Aldi! If you aren't shopping here for your grocery staples then you probably don't like saving 40%+ off your grocery bill. Yes they have their own brands and you have to bring your own bags but they have an ironclad guarantee that if you don't like something you can bring it back, get you money back and get another item for free! This store is way more spacious than the previous Aldi I used to shop at. So glad I moved over the river near this one. Open your mind and put your wallet on a diet. This place is ridiculously empty, which is cool as a shopper but not cool if it means that the location closes for lack of business. Simply put, this store has fantastic prices. It's a limited assortment store, meaning it's not going to have the breadth of selection of the major supermarkets, but it has most of what one needs. It's mostly private label, but haven't had any issues with product quality. In fact, some products are above-average. Yes, you have to bring your own bags (or pay a minimal amount per bag) and put a 25 cent deposit for the shopping cart, but I don't know if this is cause for consternation (unless you're seeking negativity) as long as you know this information beforehand. I've been to an Aldi's location in the Bronx and it's pretty much identical inside as the Wappingers' location, except 5 to 10 times as crowded. So count one's blessings, at least until word of mouth gets tons more people in the doors. read more

I like the store and workers are friendly but the cashier could've been nicer and why was she apologizing to the rude customer behind me that was trying to crowd me out of my own space so that I could barely pay at the register?? Is that such a smart thing to do in a time of Covid?? How Very Rude!! Just because she probably has the Covid shot she doesn't think she hast to honor social distancing ??? And I am glad this rude customer got the cashier so nervous that the cashier then overcharged her and she had to go back in to the store and wait in the long line again in order to get a refund!! My girlfriend and I needed to each stock up on groceries and we visited Aldi and was very impressed. She and I agree that Aldi is not the place to get the majority of your groceries, but is a GREAT place to TOP OFF your groceries. We now go to Aldi FIRST, then get the rest of our groceries that we could not get at Aldi. We loved that the cashier asked if we liked Aldi (we LOVED Aldi), and, instead of plastic bags, offered customers free cardboard boxes. Count on us to visit Aldi at least once a month! read more

I've only been to this Aldi's and love it. It's basically Sav a lot, but cheaper. My only problem is when they're waiting for their milk shipment.. Many good things about this store, especially prices and overall quality. The big downside is they are often out of products they advertise as specials, especially produce, and have no rain checks or any way to contact the store before going to see if they are out. This used to me a big problem, and seemed better since they remodeled, though a recent visit showed it was back. This was midweek middle of day, and their only answer is come back tomorrow. I was pretty disappointed as soon as I walked into the store. They advertise organic products (vegetables and fruits) to which I only found a section of about 6 items. I purchased pineapple and when I cut it open it had mold all over. The lettuce that I purchased in a container was also soggy and didn't taste well. What I did like was their organic avocado and my fiancé enjoyed his yogurt. All in all, we wouldn't return. We rather spend a little more elsewhere and get better product. read more
