Came here on a field trip. Perfect spot for easy apple picking with a toddler or someone who may not be able to walk far. Small little orchard. Bring your quarters to get some pellets for the goats. Goats were super friendly and gentle when eating from the little ones hands. Roosters and baby cow were also on site. Cute little pumpkin patch with plenty of photo ops. Meadowbrook is such a lovely small farm! I saw nothing but great reviews for this place and so I decided to give it a shot. I had a craving for some apple cider donuts and this farm did not disappoint! This is a very low key farm, which was exactly what I was looking for. I left that farm very satisfied, with a sugar pumpkin, some cider, and plenty of donuts to go. The entrance is a little confusing to find right off the highway though - you had to make a right turn and the entrance was off to the right on the stone path. Once inside, there's plenty of shaded parking. Off to the left is a small pumpkin patch with all types/sizes for you to pick and choose from. If you walk further in there's all kinds of farm animals to play with and pet. In the front is the farm store with all kinds of goodies. They have plenty of produce, pies, cider, donuts, jams, etc. The best part is the cute CAT they have just lying around chilling under the produce!! We visited early Oct 2020 during Covid. We didn't apple pick but came to buy pumpkins. The prices are really fair - around 59 cents a pound for big pumpkins. You can't beat that. And honestly the most impressive thing is that the pumpkin we picked it still alive and firm and it's April 2021! It was so fresh, it still has not rotted. We have kept it indoors fyi. It's been our covid pumpkin living through quarantine w/ us LOL They were making the donuts fresh and we got them hot and honestly, I don't think I can ever eat another apple cider donut that's not hot again. I'd come back just for those. Everyone wore mask but some were better than others -some just bandanas kinda thrown around their faces. The pumpkins are already picked and cut and you just pick from a small area next to the market. I'm not sure if there was a parking lot but we were able to grab a parking spot along the road/grass. We did get there close to closing time so it was easier to find parking as people were leaving. My family and I used to visit Meadowbrook every fall for the apple picking, pumpkin picking, delicious cider and donuts, but this year I was extremely disappointed with how the women in the orchard treated my family and kids. This women was so rude when we arrived. The level of unprofessionalism is beyond me. She has not one speck of mature or kindness in her. I can't believe the smallest size of apple cider that these stupid idiots have available is the half gallon size. There is no quart size and there is no pint size, nor is there the option of buying just one individual cup. This presents a major problem for me, since I am only one person, and I live alone. As much as I love to drink apple cider, I will not be buying a half gallon of the stuff, only to throw half of it (or possibly three quarters of it) away. I will not be throwing my money away like that. The people who own this business are too stupid to live. They assume that every potential customer lives together with their significant other, or that every potential buyer of their apple cider lives with a roommate, or that every potential customer lives with their parents, or that every potential customer has a family to feed. These people are so very ignorant of reality, that they do not realize that there are some potential customers who are like me, who live alone. I would love to buy their apple cider, but apparently, they really do not want potential customers who live by themselves to ever keep their business afloat. The only potential customers who are welcome here are the potential customers who live together with another person. Just because the stereotypical potential customer has a family to feed, and/or lives together with another person, does not mean that every potential customer fits into that neat little stereotype. Meadowbrook Farm is my ultimate favorite place to go apple picking. It's much more smaller than the other farms that have a lot of fluff to offer. The bounce house, rides etc. Meadowbrook Farm is more laid back and just all around more simpler. We have been coming here for years, and enjoyed the few farm animals they have, cute little photo op stands, the picnic tables to enjoy some light eats, small pumpkin patch and lastly, the smaller rows of apple trees. There was a variety of apples to choose from. We appreciate driving a bit more further to have a bit more serenity. I just feel more relaxed and at ease. I recall them serving soup here the first time we came here, and they use to have a variation of apple donuts to choose from For instance, powder, plain and sugar. Regardless if they still do it, we always buy a couple dozen of their donuts, and their key lime pies to go. read more

I have to tell you that Meadowbrook Farm has the best crumb cake in all of the Tri-State area. I love a good crumb cake and am quite picky about it. Some have dry and dense cake base, some have crumbs that tasted meh. But Meadowbrook's got their crumb cake game so good that I keep going back. The cake is always soft and moist. The crumbs are tightly packed, not super sweet, and cinnamony. All you need a cup of tea or coffee. (and up your leg up and enjoy it) For $8.95, you get a large box of 4 slices. It would have costed you an arm in Brooklyn. I also got local apples, produce, and pastries from local farms/bakeries from them. They were all very good. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. The shop is nicely maintained, clean, and well organized. In the summer/early fall, they had tables outside for people to hang out outdoors. It's a bit too crowded for my liking (esp. during the pandemic) but I didn't stop to join them. They have farm animals outside, at the back. They are friendly. read more

It's such a cute farm with delicious homemade baked goods and a lot of produce. I've never seen this variety of apple before - can't remember the name but it's a cross between a Granny Smith & golden delicious. The pickled mini corn is a great Bloody Mary garnish. I live less than 5 minutes from this farm, and have been frequenting it often for years. I absolutely, positively love this place! It has always carried the most fantastic array of fresh produce, and competitive prices that are often cheaper than the big supermarkets and actually grown locally. The cider donuts are always fresh, regardless of the time of year, and you won't get a ridiculously long linen to get them like you will at other nearby farms in the county (and these donuts are just delicious!) The apple picking is a really fun experience, but come early in the season. This is not a farm that makes all of its money on apple picking (this really isn't a "U-Pick" farm that you'll see in other areas of the county), so the easy to reach apples will be gone by the 2nd week of October (in my experience). As of today's date - September 21, 2014 - most of the apples on the U-pick trees are pretty red, so I'm guessing they will be all gone in the coming weeks. This place is really fantastic - the staff is pleasant and absolutely accommodating. This is my #1 favorite farmer's market, and should be known far and wide for its high quality and competitive prices. He would taste the vat during pressing and perhaps decide it needed another two bushel of northern spy or red delicious to balance the taste and mouth feel, much like a fine wine, but fresh. This is a good apple picking spot if you are local and don't want to go to a giant orchard for all day activities but just want to spend like 1.5 hours with kids picking apples and take some photos and enjoy some donuts. The trees are small but exploding with apples that are delicious. There other bigger farms also good in the region i go to if i have friends traveling a distance to visit who want a lot of attractions to enjoy over several acres but this is perfect for us to enjoy low key apple picking pleasures within close range of home. read more

We came here for apple picking today, with both success and failure. First the successes. The farm had a great shop with a large assortment of apple varieties (Courtland, Winesap, Macintosh, Empires, Red & Golden Delicious... pretty much everything we wanted except Granny Smiths), as well as fresh vegetables, a huge variety of jams and preserves (looking forward to trying the apple butter we purchased!), and baked goods (cider donuts, pies). It's a fun place to explore for a few minutes. In addition, there were a ton of pumpkins (including white) for sale in front of the shop. I know it's not as exciting as picking your pumpkin at the pumpkin patch, but it was certainly convenient. I would think this place would be very successful for kids as a result. In addition, there were a number of farm animals, mostly chickens and turkeys. On the other hand, the apple picking part of the trip was a disappointment. The picking orchard is located down the road from the farm house. Unfortunately, though the farm grows a large variety of apples in its non-picking orchards, the orchard where you can pick only has a few varieties of trees (in 12 or so rows): Red & Golden Delicious, Macintosh, and one row of Empires. In addition, when we arrived, we were informed that there were only Red and Golden Delicious left for picking--the farm had already picked the Macintosh and Empires to sell in the shop. As a result, we ended up buying our apples in the shop: they're good-looking apples, however, its not quite the same as being able to pick your own. Overall, Meadowbrook is a great place to go if you're looking for a farmers market, or have small children and don't want them going too far in a big picking orchard. If you're looking forward to lots of pick-it-yourself opportunities; however, definitely go somewhere else. read more

They have 23 rows of macs, golden & red delicious and the place is really laid back. The petting zoo is a few goats, bunnies chickens and ducks and mallards walking back and forth from the barn to the pond. They really are hands off no admission charge, friendly staff totally made our day. Love the great farmers market, pumpkins(already picked) and terrific hot fresh cider donuts. read more

I already picked apples here last year so we opted for buying the large bags of apples instead of picking our own because they are A LOT cheaper. (And still great quality apples!) 2 half bushels of apples for $20. It's about 44 lbs of apples people! Apple cider doughnuts are pretty good here, but I like them better at other farms. Fresh fruit and veggies. They also have the best apple cider I've had in the Tri-state region. I had also purchased the best grapes here too. They were so juicy and popped in my mouth. They also sell bruised bananas sometimes for rock cheap at 29 cents a pound. The bruising is only surface deep, so it was a great purchase. They do sell fresh bakeries as well, however I've yet to purchase them since I can bake my own goods at home. This is a great little farm and a gem of a place. Apple picking orchard was smaller than the other U-pick places, but in all honestly, how many trees do you need? This is a simple, no frills farm with great doughnuts, delicious farm-made cider and a great assortment of homegrown vegetables. Tomatoes were delicious and only .69 cents a pound. They sell eggs, thick cut local bacon, fresh mozzarella, and other cheese products. Honey, maple syrup and jarred goods also line the shop which are tempting. When I read of the carnival atmosphere and crowd levels experienced at other farms on the weekends we decided to drive a bit further to Wappinger Falls, about 95 minutes from new Rochelle. even though it's mid October there were plenty of apples on the trees, no ladders needed! plus signs were posted so we were able to get a selection of six types of apples.
