What's there Not to like here?? Perhaps their prices? The quality of their food demands it??? The place is huge, each department is well displayed and plentiful, and ALL so clean. Let start by their Sushi. The chef behind the counter is happy to make anything you want and always thanks you for taking some home. Produce, might be a bit pricey, I think the quality is exceptional. Everything we bought was fresh, tasty and sweet. Deli is amazing, looking so good, fresh, appetizing and plentiful, you want to buy everything! Bakery, I try not to look at it, so many choices, so well displayed. Fish department is also to die for. All in all, you can spend a small fortune, but you will not be disappointed, service in all departments is equally well served, they aim to please. It's a real treat!

Best lunch spot for miles and miles This grocery store chain is a hidden gem, tons of affordable options, pizzzas, sandwiches, salads, sushi, and a huge hot section to fill up on. After you pay for your food, head outside to eat or eat at the bar and choose from their 12 rotating taps. Get a beer or taste a flight of beers, how much time do you have? No tips allowed on your credit card purchase so bring some cash.

I was looking for lunch for my son while we were on the road. We were out of town so he didn't want fast food exactly. I found DeCicco and sons on Yelp so we stopped there. It's a super nice market that's fancier than Whole Foods. I got a cup of coffee and son got the smoothie from the little cafe. He picked up some sushi that looked great and was good for supermarket sushi. They have a hot bar here, you can order sandwiches, salads, sushis, bakery. This place is awesome and I wished they would open one up in Orlando.

An update to my last review after bringing home an incredible haul of holiday goodies. The quality of the roast beef from the deli department was worth the price. And the price was high. The man who was stocking the dairy/butter section needed a mention because he went back and retrieved another container of Kerry Gold when he saw that I was disappointed that there were none left. (shout out to him). I'm removing the video of the beer expert upon his request. I had his permission to post it but he's become camera shy so I will be obliging here. A few more days before Christmas and there's still time to grab some of those special brews for the beer drinker in your life.remember, if you lose your BEERings- turn left for the biggest wall of imported and micro brewery offerings for miles.

Reminds me of a regional Whole Foods Very clean, will organize store. Fantastic craft beer section. Nice selection of fresh fish, meats, vegetables. Price of beef seemed a little high compared to other local grocery stores. The house brand Italian sausage is phenomenal! Overall nice grocery store Helpful employees

Updating this review 5 years later. Decided to give them a second chance on that sandwich. More surprising than what could pass as a $6.50 appetizer in 2019, was that it had now become a $10.50 amuse bouche! Nearly doubling your costs in a five year span is astronomical.

DeCicco & Sons is a small chain of gourmet grocery stores that opened in The Bronx, New York in 1973. It was founded by Italian immigrant brothers John, Joseph and Frank DeCicco, who came to America in 1958. The brothers had a deep knowledge and love of food and were immediately able to find employment at various New York City produce stands and butcher shops. Eventually they decided to go into business together and open their own grocery store in the Bronx called "DeCicco Food Market". Eventually John and Joseph went into business with their sons John Jr., Joseph Jr., and Chris, and in 2011 they founded the small chain "DeCicco & Sons" which has ten locations throughout Westchester and Putnam Counties. The DeCicco Family is dedicated to giving consumers quality food products. Each location features fresh local produce, meat, and seafood. Fresh mozzarella is hand-pulled every day and there are also several imported artisanal cheeses from Europe. Baked goods and hot foods are also prepared fresh on the premises. In addition to their food, DeCicco's is also well-known for their extensive craft beer selection. Some breweries even brew special releases exclusively for sale at DeCicco's. Each location also comes equipped with a craft beer bar, and one even has a full bocce court. Frank DeCicco is also still in the grocery business with his family. His chain is referred to as "DeCicco Family Markets" and features five locations. I've been to the location in Brewster a number of times over the years and never leave disappointed. My most recent trip was a few days ago. My visit came just before Easter weekend, so I grabbed some imported artisanal Italian chocolate Easter eggs as well as a Limoncello Cream-Filled Italian Easter Cake. From the cheese department, I grabbed some fresh mozzarella, smoked scamorza, imported provolone, imported Pecorino Romano, and some fancy crackers. I also scored some Italian chicken sausages from the meat department. I saved the best for last: Beer!! I picked out seven nice looking beers, but the one I'm most looking forward to opening is a Barrel-Aged Stout made exclusively for DeCicco's by Finback Brewery. Before leaving, I stopped at the craft beer bar and had pours of Maine Beer Company's "Dinner" (Double IPA) and Firestone Walker Brewing's "Parabola" (Barrel-Aged Stout) 2016 Vintage. DeCicco's continues to wow me!

Italian supermarket at an overpriced amount. Come in come all! Huge selection of beers so that's a must! DeCicco is basically an Italian Whole Foods (which is a great thing). They have all sorts of Italian products imported straight from Italy and a huge selection of everything. Truthfully I can't complain I love everything about the supermarket just some stuff is ridiculously priced. You can find all kinds of panettone, pandoro, torroni (at a high price of course) but you can get them all without having to go to Italy. Delicious custom olive bar. Pizzas made on the spot (these were just ok for my taste, at least the full pies). Salumeria and formaggi. Bakery. It has it all! Even an area where you can purchase your own pizza and beer on tap and sit and eat it. The beer selection is outstanding. All types of beer and they always have some type of deal. Oddly enough they had a great cereal sale too! Bottom line: if you're craving Italy come to DeCicco you won't be disappointed.

Sushi is spot on, for supermarket sushi. Got 3 different kinds with the boyfriend, all with brown rice to keep it extra healthy ;) We sat down in the bar area and had ourselves a little sushi buffet while sharing a glass of Grimm - Icing in the Cake imperial stout

I just left there about 10 minutes ago, and the selection isn't what it used to be. Everything is IPA, weird craft flavors or fancy fruity style beers or your typical watered down beer that you used to drink in college on a budget. Or what you can find in grocery stores but with a higher price tag. I do appreciate the good cider selection, however, the prices are just out of control. They don't update the sticker prices on the six packs and when checking out, I was surprised that it was several dollars more than what I had anticipated on paying. When I asked the cashier if he would be willing to honor the price on the sticker, he flatly said no. I get times are tough right now, but a little customer service goes a long way. If you're not doing your end of the bargain to update your inventory and prices, then maybe don't mark the cans at all so that customers can confirm the price at the counter before buying.

It may sound cheesy but it describes exactly the atmosphere of this place, a good time full of friendly people. It's a 2 two story building with plenty of seating. I have been here many a time where the upstairs is rented out for a private event. They also have two outside decks full of tables and chairs which is perfect to sit at when the weather is nice. And trust me when the weather is nice this place is packed!!!! The food here is delicious. In the warmer months they have a pizza food truck that comes. The pizza is sooo good my favorite is one they sell that has a white sauce on it instead of marinara it is delicious. The brewery itself makes small bites and has a few sandwiches that come with a bag of potato chips. They are also good. Last time we came our friends got the meatball sub and it was huge!!! They said it was amazing. They have a great selection of beers including IPAs, Stouts, Sours, and Ciders. I will say this brewery is what kindled my love for Sour beers. They have one that tastes like a red Starburst, so yummy! They also have non alcoholic beer and spirits on their menu. The staff is also friendly. I have seen them frazzled a time or two when it's really busy which is understandable. All in all it's good service both bar tenders and other staff that is working hard cleaning up tables ams sweeping to make sure the tables are ready for the next round of people. Also to note this is not table service. You go to the bar and order your food and either pay there or open a tab. They then bring out your food to you. You can also get beers to take home and other merchandise such as shirts, jackets, and some packaged food items. It very family friendly! Every time I come I see tons of families here, which is nice. Oh and the last thing to note the bathrooms are always clean!!! Which is something I really appreciate about any place that is serving food and drinks.

What makes this establishment so memorable and so sought after? Let me count thy ways. Hudson Valley awaits at the end of Beacon's Main Street, a fitting finale to a day spent ducking in and out of shops. Its wide open spaces and available sitting is a welcome sight for sore feet. Its diverse array of drinks, from wines to beers to sours, will quench any type of thirst. My drink of choice are their sours, and as someone who previously did not like these kinds of drinks, I was thoroughly converted. Perfect for people who don't like beers, their sours are berry-forward with a tartness that cuts through the sweet flavors. It's so good, I even lugged a six-pack home all the way to the train and back to the city! You simply cannot visit Hudson Valley Brewery without trying their pizza. It's one of my favorites. Cooked in an outdoor brick oven, their pizzas are charred to perfection; their crust thin yet provides a satisfying substantial bite; and their pie topped with ooey gooey cheese. Although I don't doubt that anything you order will be delicious, I have tried their sausage and pepper pizza, as well as their margherita, and can attest to how delicious they are. If you're visiting Beacon, end your day here at Hudson Valley Brewery. It's the ideal last stop.

There used to be numerous German restaurants in NYC and throughout upstate NY, but over the years those numbers have dwindled substantially to a handful.  A relatively new addition to the local Hudson Valley dining scene Jaeger Haus was started in 2018 (in a 70 year old restaurant building) and serves up seriously tasty and authentic tasting German beer, wine, and food.  We've dined there a few times over the last two years of visiting this year--the mood is relaxed, the beer is delicious, and food remind us of our travels to Germany and Austria.  The menu is tight and by that I mean it's focused on what they do well--which is traditional German food. While I wish they might add a few classic German appetizers to their menu for variety, their range of entrees provides ample choice and I am slowly making my way through those selections. Lola, one of our servers for the evening, quickly took our drink orders.  I ordered a mug of Hofbrau Original Lager (on tap) and after being given a tasting, my wife ordered a pint of Hofbrau Weissbier (which is similar to the sort of wheat beer she occasionally enjoys).  So refreshing.  A basket of house-made thinly sliced Roggenbrot (rye bread) arrived soon after our drinks with softened butter, lightly sprinkled with sea salt. We passed on the appetizers, knowing that our entrees would be substantial.  My wife ordered the Wienershcnitzel which comes with braised red cabbage and house-made spaetzle lightly sauced with a cream gravy.  These are classic sides which one can find served in restaurants from Vienna or Munich to Heidelberg or Berlin.  I ordered exactly the same thing (having tried other dishes on our prior visits), except I ordered my Wienerschnitzel "a la Holstein" (with a fried local farm egg).  The egg, especially the large yolk, provides an added level of lusciousness to the crispy veal.   Our meals arrived in due course.  They were gorgeous to look at and ate even better than they looked.  The spaetzles were soft and fluffy, the red cabbage was rich and well spiced, and the veal . . . the veal was heavenly.  Crisp on the outside, fork tender on the inside, dipping into a bit of the egg yolk (in my case); goodness what a delightful taste sensation. Just delicious.  We both earned "clean plate" certificates tonight--suitable for framing--felt satiated, but not overly full (which is where we like to end a meal).  We nursed our beers a bit longer, sharing memories from this special day, paid our bill (the bill encouraged customers to tip in cash, which we did), thanked the staff, bid the co-owner "danke schön und Wiedersehen" and we were on our way.

We came as we understood the wings were the best in Westchester County... After trying two varieties, and being on a perennial wing trail chase for the last four years... I find that title difficult to believe. Wings were meaty, cooked correctly, and came well appointed with blue cheese and celery. Plus, I'm a sucker for wing establishments that provide the wooden bowl for bones. I love that. Otherwise, I found the wings lightly sauced, and kind of dry... We tried the blazers traditional, which are fried, sauce, then refried... They needed one more dunk in sauce to be top-notch. Our second order was their teriyaki wings... much more palatable... But we're still lacking. And I'm not a huge fan of wings that are not sauced in a hot sauce base. The opportunity to add a side of wasabi sauce to any wings was a welcome addition... As we needed the moisture. We did not try any other menu items, but the pub food looked delicious... And our server was fantastic. I do look forward to going back and trying to order things slightly differently... I'll chalk this first experience up on me not really strategically placing my order or knowing how to maximize the potential of a really great place. I know next time will be better.
