I've been going to Nu Yu and Naturally You Salon and Spa (Aveda Salons) for over 10 years (30 is feeling old!) and have always been struck by their professional, high quality, and welcoming atmosphere. Naturally You in Concord MA is comparable to a Newbury St. salon, if not better because of the location and easy parking! Additionally, you can get all of the same Newbury St eats right in West Concord. Regardless if I'm needing a long layered cut, balayage/sombe/ombre, roots, conditioning treatment (which my hair loves!) eyebrows tinting/waxed, or the dreaded "please fix my hair I used boxed dye"....( 5 hours later, sigh of relief) , I have never been disappointed! Katie, a graduate of Toni and Guy, is the only stylist I will go to; she tells me the trends for various seasons, what will work with my hair texture/level of damage, and is wiling to try new techniques she is always learning at continued education classes (Interested in trying a strand of pink?- Katie's your girl) . Additionally, she has a wide knowledge base for all of the Aveda products- often suggesting something for a blemish or dry skin. I cannot say enough about the welcoming atmosphere, helpful estheticians and make up artists (who are often on site able to answer questions), and my loyal hair guru Katie! read more

I've been getting my hair colored and cut on Newbury St for over 15 years, and Melissa at Naturally You is better. She is EXCELLENT at coloring blondes, and really listens to what you want. The place is a god send, I had a terrible haircut from another local salon, I called for help and they fit me right in. They remedied the cut, with grace and skill. I started visiting Naturally You and having a wonderful haircut with Rebecca Clegg over a year ago before Covid hit. After moving here from Florida I needed to find a new stylist! HORRIBLE. Worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I had been seen in May by Brianne and it was a good appt no issues at all, she was professional and friendly. And then in August I see that they have a groupon available for a cut and a color. I call the location in Concord Naturally You and schedule the appointment, the woman on the phone says oh you've been seen here before with Brianne. She tells me Brianne doesn't accept groupons but you can see a junior stylist for that. I say okay that works. Then a few days before the appointment, I get a voicemail confirming it. When I arrive I speak to the woman at the front desk and I say I have this appointment and this groupon. She says okay great you were seen by Brianne before and I say yes. Then she seats me. Immediately she's a little rude insinuating the highlights that I have were tinted a muddy color. "Your ends look tinted green what's up with that." I let her know that I had them done there in May, at which point she stops talking about it. We pick out the color. She goes to the back to mix the color and then comes back around ten minutes later. She says out of nowhere, "Since you were seen by Brianne already we actually can't accept the groupon, you can't have been seen here in the past year to use it." Then she quoted me the price which was double that of the groupon. I say "oh no I didn't realize that, I scheduled the appt and confirmed it and no one mentioned that to me. I drove 45 minutes to get here." All very friendly not angry. She basically tells me theres nothing she can do since the owner Helen is working at the Salon ten minutes away in Acton, Salon NuYu and that I can try to talk to her. No apology she just gives me the owner's business cared. So I drive ten minutes to the salon where the owner is at. I come in start a friendly conversation and let her know what happened. I tell Helen that I'm just confused that I was able to schedule the appt if I was not able to actually be seen for that. She then starts to raise her voice and berate me in front of everyone in the salon. Essentially saying I am a liar and that no one would have said that to me on the phone. I must have lied about being seen there previously or not have mentioned the groupon when I booked the appointment. I was shocked to be treated this way, especially by the owner. She goes on repeating this over and over, even though I tell her I am not lying. At the end of her scolding me she said while rolling her eyes, "I guess you can be seen this one time for this, since we want to keep our customers happy." At this point I am almost in tears and have had enough, I tell her I do not even want to be seen anymore, I just hope she doesn't treat customers like that in the future. I would rather lose the money I already paid then spend anymore time around that woman. I let her know I would be writing a bad review given the awful treatment by both locations. It's one thing to be treated unprofessionally by the staff at the Concord location, but I am so shocked by the behavior of the owner. You are much better off going to SOMA in Somerville if you are looking for an Aveda Salon. read more

The owner gave me a very hard time when I tried to use the cash value of a Groupon that clearly specified in writing that the value "never expired." I felt her arguments against honoring it were manipulative and unfair. Eventually, she offered to give me a free haircut if I could come in when the salon was not busy, but I feel that business owners should honor the written terms of Groupons rather than claiming, as she did, that she would not honor the terms of "Never Expiring" Groupons that were issued before COVID19. read more

I highly recommend this salon. I've been getting my hair cut and styled by Brianne at Naturally You for well over a year now. She's very talented and has keen attention to detail and the Aveda products smell great and make my hair feel wonderful. I always feel so much better when leaving the salon and look forward to my appointments! Not only is Brianne a great stylist but she's also fun to talk with. She remembers stories I've told her and asks for updates on how I've been doing. Bonus: there's a parking lot available right near the salon. read more

I've been to what feels like nearly every Aveda salon in the Boston/Metrowest area, and Naturally You is the one I've stuck with. Naturally You has all the perks you expect from a large, full-service Aveda salon (all the usual, great Aveda products, plus relaxation treatments while your color processes, hot tea while you wait, etc), but what distinguishes it is that it feels like a small, friendly, locally owned family business, where every customer matters. I have gone exclusively to Jocelyn for my hair care for the past few years (cuts, partial foils, conditioning treatments), and she somehow manages to make my fine, thin hair looks great every time. She listens carefully to what I want, makes creative suggestions of her own, and I always walk out liking the final product (she does an especially great job with color treatments - I love the richness of the colors she uses and the low lights add really nice depth). I like Jocelyn and her work so much that I've started taking my teenage boys to her, and they really like their cuts as well. Recently I took advantage of a couple of spa services the salon offers, and indulged in a massage and a lash tint with Fanny: both were fantastic. If you like deep tissue massage, Fanny is your woman: her hands are magic (I swear they could melt cement). I also loved that she played reggae during my massage (definitely *not* one of those typical high-priced and totally forgettable salon massage experiences). Plus she has a great presence; it makes you relax just being around her. But, again, what makes the salon unique is that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Every person who works at Naturally You knows my name and something about me, and I enjoy seeing each of them every time I visit (and, what's more, they all seem to enjoy working with each other, too). Naturally You clients receive all the benefits of a big city, high-end hair salon but without all of the attendant high-cost, drama and pretension - it's just an easy, friendly, casual place that provides great, customized service to its clients. I have been a client of Debbie's for almost 10 years at this point. I started out as just a haircut client and then eventually I started talking to her about wanting to add some highlights to my hair. Debbie was amazing and took the color process slow and explained to me was going on and what it the color would look as well as the steps to follow. I am a brunette and get what is called "hot roots" when I am foiled and Debbie did an amazing job toning me so that my highlights looks exactly the way I wanted. We recently switched to doing a balayage color as I wanted something that requires less upkeep. Debbie is by far the only person I will trust to touch my hair! Not only is she an amazing stylist but she is an amazing person with a heart of gold, I know that anytime I see her I will leave with a smile and leave feeling beautiful. read more

Breaking up with your long time stylist is hard - but easier when you find a new stylist as great as Katie at Naturally You. My hair was in really bad shape the first time I saw Katie in November. Dry, frizzy, breaking and just generally dull looking. Also shorter than I like after getting 3" cut off to try and remove some of the damage. This was after years of always getting compliments about having beautiful hair - it was really sad and frustrating to now have such awful hair. I decided to find an Aveda salon since I had always had good luck with them in the past and I suspected some of my hair issues were from the harsh chemical products used by my last stylist. After some research I chose Naturally You since it seemed committed to Aveda products, wasn't too big or too small, and in the cute town of W. Concord. The salon turned out to be a little smaller than I expected, but was very friendly and relaxed. Best of all, Katie spent a lot of time listening to all my hair issues, looked at photos of how my hair used to look, and was optimistic she could get my hair back on the path to health - but she also didn't overpromise, which I appreciated. It is going to take time, but I feel like Katie has a plan of sorts and understands my goals. I left the salon in November with better looking hair than I had experienced in months. I recently went back for my second visit and got beautiful highlights and a trim. My hair still has a long way to go, but it is night and day better since going to Katie and getting back to Aveda. read more

Worst salon experience I've ever had. The woman Tina who did my nails had the worst attitude and was very rude like much of the staff......and my nail polish chipped a few days later and one of my cuticles is now infected! Way overpriced for very crappy service! Do yourself a favor and find a different salon!!!!! read more
