This Salon is great! I went for the first time and had an amazing experience. Larissa did my hair and did an amazing job! She did exactly what I wanted and gave me her professional opinion on my hair! The owner, Tuan ordered me a beverage when I got there and made sure I was happy and content. I stopped in this morning with to schedule an appointment; I was pleasantly surprised to learn that there was a cancellation and I could be seen within 30 minutes. I had my two year old daughter with me and the receptionist, Morgan, and my stylist, Jenn, assured me it was ok for her to stay. Jenn was wonderful to work with. Admittedly, I'm a tough client in that I want something that's appropriate for a corporate office, but will look great air-dried. We talked about my styling routine and lifestyle, and decided on a mid-length lob. The cut is amazing and I'm so pleased with the change. Moreover, the staff (especially Jenn) were universally warm, kind, and completely accommodating (especially given that I had an active toddler with me). We are spoiled for choice in great stylists in this area, but SalonTuan offers so much more. If you're looking for an amazing cut done by some truly lovely people, you should check this place out. Tuan is amazing. He is the only one that understands my hair enough to be able to consistently give me cuts that work with my natural hair...no heat, no styling, no effort necessary. After I moved away from Acton, I tried to find another stylist as good....but its not possible. Now I live in NYC and despite the hoity toity stylists here claiming to be the best and always advertising celebrity haircuts, I make the 5 hour drive back to Acton to see Tuan. He has never disappointed me, regardless of the length of my hair and the random demands I make. If I'm in town and desperate for a cut, he will even make room for me in his schedule. How do you beat that ?!?!??! While I may not be his only client...Tuan will always be my one and only! Ladies...if you want to be tinder ready....go see Tuan! Always super friendly and accommodating. I have only been in for an eye brow wax but each time they have fit me in and done it quickly. Its clean and the clients all seem to have good rapport with all the stylists. If I lived closer I would try them for a cut but only have time for a wax at lunch. read more

I recently saw Nancy at Salon Tuan. I had only been to her once before at her old salon, but loved her energy & fresh look at life & hair! She was excellent! She didn't rush me & took the time to ask me questions about my daily hair routine to get an idea of a style that would work for me. I appreciate that. The salon itself was unique & exciting - I'm happy I made the jump with her. The staff is inviting & friendly. It's a welcoming atmosphere where everyone seems to get along & enjoy their time there. (unlike other places where the girls can be pretty catty..) The salon is decorated with bright colors, but the best part is, there is candy in every corner! Tuan, the owner, must have a sweet tooth 'cause I've never seen anything like the array of chocolates, lolli pops, M&Ms, & other yummy treats while getting my hair done before! They use Paul Mitchell & Matrix products there. I'd never tried the Paul Mitchell products before, but after my stunning color transformation (thanks, Nancy!) I went to get my eye brows waxed here because it's on my way home from work and next to where I get my nails done. I asked if they could fit me in after my nail appointment, I was told yes so afterwards, I went back. This girl can't wax eyebrows for anything!!!! I ended up leaving with a BIG chunk missing from my left eyebrow! No one would do anything to make it up to me, they still even expected me to pay! Needless to say, I walked out without paying. I have been getting my hair colored and cut by Tuan for many years now, starting when he was working in someone else's salon. Even when we move to the Cape or elsewhere one day, I will continue to have my hair done at Tuan Salon. I always know that I will get a fantastic cut and that my color will look so natural and beautiful. Larissa is amazing! She is only person I've found who can execute the desired look/color I want. In the past, I have been disappointed by the results at other salons. I have found that other stylist have trouble achieving my desired look on my Asian hair. I've also been told I could dye my hair brown, but ended up with with orange or blonde hair instead. Larissa has always been extremely honest with me when I show her a certain look. She will let me know if the look is achievable and whether not we will be able to do it in one or more sessions. Larissa is extremely receptive to all my questions and always explains everything in a way I can comprehend without ever getting annoyed. She is super friendly, knowledgeable, down to earth, and relatable, along with everyone else at the salon. Tuan is a master of both cut and color, which is very rare to find. I have very fine, thin hair (definitely not hair that people are envious of) but I receive compliments on the style and color all the time. I can take no credit for it ... it's all Tuan's masterful doing. Another bonus is that Tuan's not one of those stylists that talks constantly, he's a listener, and if, like me, you just like to sit back, relax and enjoy the process of someone else doing the work, he's fine with that too.
