I went today on a Thursday and I specifically told the lady please don't take this part off I want it to grow because I want it to match my other brow and she was like okay... and then proceded to take it off. I've literally walked out with two different eyebrows. When I entered I was glad to see an ethnic woman. I myself an Indian from Los Angeles and have been threading for the last 17 years. This was my first attempt at getting threaded in Pittsburgh. I told her I have a girl who does my threading at home so please do not touch my eyebrows, don't mess with the shape or the size. And the first thing she does... Fuck up my right eyebrow. Now I just came from Chicago in 2015 and it took almost 12 months to fix the fucked up eyebrows that some lady gave me there. And now here I am again with a fucked up eyebrow. I caught her after the first one so I salvage the second one..... But that means I walked out with two different eyebrows. No joke. After the last time, I know how long it takes for it to grow back and I know what a big difference it makes because my husband will randomly tell me how beautiful I am when my eyebrows are good. But when my eyebrows are not good, he doesn't even mention it. So yeah, 1. fucking. star. Because now I'm stuck looking like shit for one whole year. And if that wasn't bad enough, to top it off she kept missing patches of hair ( I asked for a full face threading). Tucked away in a little shop off of Copeland (right by Eyetique), Natural Eyebrows Threading is a nice addition to the Walnut Street shops. I've gone 3 times to get my eyebrows threaded and have, for the most part, been pleased with how they've turned out. She went a little too thin for my liking the first time, but that was easily fixed the next visit with a little more explanation of what I wanted. I also have found it a little more painful than other places I've gotten threaded, but since the pain is short lived and I'm not left red for hours, I'm ok with that. I've always been seen right away and the lady doing the threading is sweet. It's $12 for an eyebrow threading and they do accept cards (also, there's a place to leave a tip on your receipt which is convenient!). This was my first threading experience and it was awesome. I didn't have an appointment and there were two people ahead of me and I was still in and out of there in 15 minutes. I found threading to be much less painful than waxing on my brows, and I also noticed that all of my very fine hairs that waxing misses were removed by threading. I had my lip done as well, and since I don't wax that too often it was a little more painful. However, neither my lip nor my eyebrows were anywhere near as red as they are after waxing. Today was my first time going and I'll defiantly go back until I find something closer to where I live now. However, I was happy with the outcome they turned out a little thiner than my preference (which is my fault because I didn't tell her I like them a little fuller). The service was great, I didn't have to make an appointment, there was no wait, and it took all of about 5 minutes (at most) to do. Although, I wish the lady would've consulted me before she started to thread my brows. She rushed me into the chair and immediately started threading. Anyway, I think I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for almost 10 yrs and recently moved from the west coast. The woman who does the threading here (sorry I forgot her name) is wonderful and probably the first person who has taken the initiative to make sure every single displaced brow hair is removed and that my eyebrows are even. Beyond being skilled, she's very gentle and the whole process is minimally painful. I would give this place zero stars if I could. The first time I went there was quite decent, but for the past 3 times the eyebrows have come out asymmetrical. They weren't asymmetrical in the sense that they looked similar but not the identical, I'm talking one is as thin as a wire and the other is 2 times larger. Along with that, today when I got mine done the left eyebrow came out almost entirely tail (and an overly thick one at that) and the right one was incredibly thin. Not only that, but she somehow managed to make them farther apart than I've ever seen them. I'm incredibly disappointed with my experience, and I'm finding that the damage done is so bad that even makeup isn't helping it read more
