I mulled over lash extensions for weeks. I read all the reviews, looked at all the before and afters, compared prices, and still wasn't sure if I wanted to take the plunge. I thought about it for weeks too many. Then I met Lisa. She and I come from different walks of life, but she is genuinely one of the kindest, most caring individuals I've ever met. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in to her studio, but I quickly found out it would become my haven. For a first-timer like me, the idea of lash extensions was kind of overwhelming. So many different styles! Lengths! I had no idea what I wanted, and she was patient and walked me through the process every step of the way. We settled on a natural look with a little extra flair on the outside corners, and I couldn't have been happier. I can't believe what a difference they made! I've been back twice since my first visit and I can't say enough great things. I don't know that I'll ever go anywhere else. Lisa is just the best, both personally and in the work she does. My appointments with her have quickly become something I so look forward to. And if my review isn't enough to seal the deal for you, when I visited with my professional makeup artist friend shortly after getting my lashes done, his first comment to me was "YOUR LASHES!" When I told him they were extensions, he about fell out of his seat, swearing up and down he'd never seen them look so real. So yeah, she's pretty great. Got my lashes done for my wedding and everyone gave me tons compliments on how dreamy and natural they looked. This was my first time getting extensions, and I didn't want to look too done up, so I asked Lisa to make them look like my natural lashes when I wear mascara plus a few slightly longer lashes at the corners. She delivered! I chose not to wear any mascara on my wedding day, and the photos still came out great. Lisa was helpful and informative and took her time making sure I got what I wanted. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all and knew I could tell her exactly what I was looking for. She took the time to look through eyelash photos I had pinned to my Pinterest board and asked me lots of questions to make sure she understood what I was asking for. I have very sensitive skin and was concerned about having an allergic reaction, but Lisa took that into account as well. She monitored how I was feeling throughout the whole process and told me that I could call her (literally) anytime and come back to get them removed if I developed a reaction after I got home. That said, there were no adverse reactions whatsoever, so this wasn't needed. She also offered to be on hand the morning of my wedding in case I wanted to add more lashes. Didn't end up doing this, but the offer was much appreciated. Prices are competitive with other studios in Pittsburgh. Might be hard to get to if you don't have a car or access to an Uber or Lyft though. I would note that if you are allergic to cats, this might not be the best place to go. Lisa's studio is in her house, which she shares with a very friendly cat and dog. After having attempted to have my lashes done somewhere else I really wasn't sure if lash extensions were for me or not. But I really wanted them and after doing a lot of research on where to go next, Lisa's number popped up. I gave her a call and we were literally on the phone for almost 30 minutes, she was calm, kind, professional and made me feel so comfortable! I knew meeting her in person for my lashes was going to be great. She made the time go by so fast! I couldn't believe we were almost done when she said we only had five minute left. Lisa's the best! Lashes last at least 3 weeks and she provides you with cleaning and care instructions. Lisa's method doesn't require you to not shower for 24-48 hours which is also nice. Lisa is excellent! I must disclose - I've never had my lashes done before - and I was worried. I didn't want to dump a ton of money and look like a clown or have the work come apart in a few days. I can say it's been about two weeks and I still have a great natural look that I was extremely satisfied with. She is so friendly and welcoming. She has a separate room in her house that is set up for all of her esthetic procedures. Yes - today's world made me a bit nervous about that- but I'm still alive and never got a sketch vibe. She has great prices compared to what I found researching online. I found chain lash stores like deka have very mixed reviews and are more expensive. Lisa was quick and efficient and matched what I was looking for. I'm a professional and didn't want to look like I was going clubbing when I was at work. I think it's a great natural look and I love not having to worry about mascara. She also cleaned up my eyebrows - because I was feeling brave - and they looked great. I'm one of those annoying million question askers and she answered every one in detail. I went to Lisa for lash line enhancements on my top and bottom lash lines. I had NO IDEA what I was talking about or what the process was. The lash line enhancement is microblading color between the individual lashes to make the lash base look darker and thicker. Lisa explained everything to me upfront: the different pigments and the difference between the enhancement and the liner. She spent so much time working with me on color and coverage before she began, then she continually checked in with me and let me check the mirror during the treatment to be sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. I have never had such a kind, thorough service provider (did I mention I really had NO IDEA what I was talking about when I got there???? I had to have asked 100,000 questions she had heard 100,000 times before and she answered every one thoughtfully.) I would recommend Lisa to anyone who is interested in microblading in a heartbeat. When I arrived at her home (equipped with a cute pink lash room and adorable kitty), Lisa spent time asking me about what I wanted my lashes to look like and inspecting the few lashes I had left from a previous fill from a different place. I went to Lisa after doing extensive research online. I had been getting lash extensions for 5 years without a problem. I had requested classic lashes which is what I previously had but she talked me into volume lashes which looked nice the first day , after 5 days they were almost completely off and I was extremely careful of the follow up instructions. I contacted her and she said she would do them again but charge me so 10 days after my initial application I had another full set reapplied which again lasted me less than a week . I contacted Lisa but she insisted my lashes were " rejecting " the extensions, I've never heard of this . She then informed me she could refer me to someone that maybe could help me. Keep in mind her prices are average to what you would pay in a high end salon and she is doing them in her home, I had paid her over $300 within less than 3 weeks to end up where I started! Although Lisa seems to be a very nice person she lacks in costumer service I feel as if I was an isolated incident she should have Atleast try to address the problem instead of the way she handled it. read more
