A friend with flawless eyebrows recommended coming here. Never have I had a better eyebrow experience than here. It is $12 to get your brows threaded. I usually just give the lady a $20 and let her keep the change because my eyebrows look so good. I saw there was now an eyebrow threading shop there one day while taking a walk, and I finally had a chance to go; it was pretty awesome. It's a very small, simple place and the woman, who I believe is the owner, is very nice. I walked in with crazy, old man eyebrows and walked out with beautifully shaped, feminine brows. All it took was $12 and 5 minutes to look like a girl again, which any girl will tell you is actually priceless. And it didn't even hurt! The person who does eyebrows in the chair furthest from the door has no idea what she is doing. I had a beautiful shape to my eyebrows prior to her ruining them! I normally go to the girl who works the chair right next to the door but since she was busy today I went to the next chair furthest from the door. I typically go to the threading shop in Monroeville. But, if I have no time I go to the shop at Robinson mall. Well, my nail shop is in Squirrel Hill and I didn't want to resort to waxing. I stumbled upon this shop and read the reviews. I absolutely hate Shadyside because of the parking. The shop is conveniently located off of a side street. It's very quaint and setup well for the amount of space that's available. I told the woman I just wanted my brows cleaned up and not skinny. She listened and did a great job. Plus it was only $12. After seeing her results I decided to go. I swung in after work one day around 5pm. The shop is small and clean, which is always reassuring during salon services. I've only ever seen one woman working there, although there are two chairs. She's very personable and efficient. I'm usually in and out within 10 minutes! I went to the branch located at the water front on Thursday where this lady who could barely communicate offered eyebrow threading, considering my past two amazing experiences (with different ladies) I gave it a shot. She completely destroyed my eyebrows, one is thinner while the other one is thicker. Not only this, she even argued back with me saying it will grow back which is completely unacceptable as her job is to fix them as oppose to tell me that they will be fixed naturally. I have past experience with threading and could tell that she is completely unaware of how to properly place the thread once she started doing it but it was already to late. I cannot find the location on here that is in the Waterfront but the woman that did my eyebrows told me it was new and her other location is in Shadyside. Just wanted to drop a note that this was my first time trying both tinting and threading so I didn't know what to expect. I was the only one there and she had me finished in less than 15 minutes. I was advised it would last about a week for the tinting. I didn't need much threading done so she did the little I needed and didn't charge me for it. I was only charged for my tinting which was $22. A little higher than the $15 I was quoted near my house but for the convenience it was a great deal. Very friendly service. Just one suggestion that for someone not knowing anything about it, I'd think there'd be more of an explanation of what is done before doing it. I was only told to close my eyes. I'm used to getting my brows filled in and at a minimum massaged after a threading. I am in Pittsburgh for a week and desperately needed my eyebrows done. This was a great spot for me to quickly go to. It was a bit pricey - $12 compared to the $6 I spend in New York. However my sister has warned me that salon prices are generally higher here so that may be typical. The woman who helped me was very attentive and suggested I grow out the ends of my eyebrows so she can shape them during my next service. I appreciated the guidance considering I am noooo eyebrow threading protege! One suggestion I would have is to purchase a fan or A/C unit. Was in and out in less than 10 minutes, she didn't really say anything to me at all. I have very thick brows but thin hairs, and I've grown them out for months and was looking to have them shaped naturally and not cut down much. It is my fault for not mentioning it (although her not speaking to me first made me too uncomfortable to mention it), but I'm also not sure who would look at thick full brows and decide to cut half of it off. My brows are completely uneven and my right eyebrow just doesn't even have an arch, and it is literally half the width of my usual brows. I felt her going pretty high up, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought there was no way she would thread that much off (but she did). There is also not a straight line under my brow, it is very curved and makes me look surprised. Not very happy. Back to regrowing with brow serum! read more

Don't ever go to this place if you want decent looking eyebrows!A lady called Reena did my eyebrows and I had told her that I just wanted a clean up but she just did not get my instructions.. She just went ahead and took off my a portion of my eyebrows vertically that is just going to take years to grow back! At the end when I told her that I was dissatisfied with the service,she just said that's fine you can come back on Tuesday and Friday when we have someone else in the salon! I hate that she dint even care! I'm just soo annoyed that I even tip her in spite of such a horrible experience!This sort of service and attitude is just unacceptable! This has been my go-to place for my eyebrows for a year now. They make it painless and quick, and they're very skilled. I prefer my eyebrows to have a fuller and clean cut look and just ask for a clean up; they're always perfect after I leave this place. (Seriously...I can't stop admiring them in the mirror for a few days after!) Even with different people, I've received consistent results. I've never had to wait more than five minutes after walking in to be seen, even though there's usually already another customer or two there. It's also pretty affordable - they have a loyalty punch card (10th threading free!) and now a student price. I won't go anywhere else in Pittsburgh. read more
