Went there for a quick bite to eat. It was not the wait that bothered me it was when I asked for light on the sauce they came out dripping in sauce. I asked the waiter to get me new ones but to allow me to eat my fries while they are hot. He said yes and then within a couple minutes returned with the chicken strippers washed off and cold fries. Waiter never came back to ask if it was better. Just ignored our table. Then we asked for check he dropped it off and we waited for 10 minutes he never returned, left money on table and left. My wife and I hadn't been there in quite a while and decided to go for a quick bite. The service as usual was excellent and we were quickly led to our table. Our waitress was friendly and and very efficient. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and both ordered their chicken strippers. The mozzarella sticks were very dry with way too much coating and not enough cheese. It was obvious they were very cheap in quality. The marinara sauce was tasteless. The strippers have always been good in the past but not this time. They were way overcooked. All I could taste was the outer crispy coating. Thank goodness I ordered extra hot sauce to help wash them down. Not sure if we got them on a bad night or they're cutting back on the quality of their food to save costs. We decided to try this place the other night and we were not disappointed.  We felt like bar food and decided to go here in absence of a Buffalo Wild Wings in the area.  We had a pound of the boneless Honey Hot and they were really good.  Our server was pleasant and they prices weren't ridiculously high.  They had a good variety of food and we ended up splitting a cobb salad so we didn't feel so guilty, it has veggies, right?  They also have a good selection of local brews as well. On 6/22 at approximately 6:15 pm I was standing in line at the front door of the Native location located Chandler Blvd and Desert foothills pky in Phoenix. I was skipped over by the staff due to waiting outside the closed door because others had skipped the long line and went in ahead. Due to social distancing and trying to keep our spots in line I held the door open. One patron of the bar expressed his disgust with us but we were determined not to be skipped over by staff again. As I was next in line the hostess began taking us to our seat but Brian (manager) came up to me. Brian was extremely loud when he yelled at me to close the door even though I was no longer holding it open. Brian was in my personal space and advanced on me extremely aggressively and then made a snide remark of I'm just energetic as we walked away with the hostess. I did not appreciate the unprofessionalism displayed by the hostesses or Brian. Several other patrons that were left outside appeared to be upset with how we were treated by staff and made it clear as they walked away without being seated. My girlfriend (with me at the time of the incident) expressed that she felt uneasy and in fear for her safety due the aggression displayed by Brian and the unknown patron. I want it noted that I normally have a pleasant experience at this location and still plan to return in hopes this issue is fixed. Also I want to note my waitress appeared new but did a wonderful job! I missed her name due to me focusing on my dissatisfaction. Wanted to weigh in on their catering for this review. Ordered 50 wings for a party. Asked that they be packed, 25 wings per separate tray with sauces, seasonings and dips packed individually. Also asked that they be ready to be picked up at a certain time. What a pleasant surprise. I came in to pick up the order and I was greeted by the Manager. It' s a five star when it comes to its sports bar definition (bar food, bright lights, TV screens)... but it's a three star when it comes to quality time and food options. I wished they had some kind of (appetizing vegetarian options)... it's also very loud, actually l think patrons are getting louder. Their customers are not really watching any sports on the many TV screens, it's a cacophony! I only got a potato soup, everything else has meat. My hubby had a club sandwich. Great place to hang out with friends and catch a game! The back has a lot of seating (tables and booths) and TVs at every angle so that they have multiple games playing at once! They have a pretty good happy hour from 3-7pm, with a variety of appetizers (every day) and assorted drinks (except Saturday). Came with a group of friends to watch a football game, and we ordered an assortment of appetizers, 2 pitchers of Blue Moon, and a couple entrees to share. I got the buffalo fish sliders, because they seemed pretty unique. The plate came with 3, and although they were a little heavy on the mayo they were really tasty! Unfortunately, the curly fries I got on the side could have been crispier/more flavorful. Their steak fries didn't look too great either though. I would say their food is good, but not amazing. The past 3 visits I've had here at Native have all been absolutely terrible. The food is actually good but the service here is just absolutely unacceptable. The last time I was in here I was confronted and asked by my waiter if I was a "serious" customer and if I was "gonna actually buy something because if not I have to leave" after already having order some drinks. I let that slide as I of course returned to the restaurant but this most recent time I was confronted at the end of my meal right as I was exiting the restaurant by the host who told me they had to check my money that I had left as they believed I shorted them for some odd reason before even counting. Idk if this was based off my looks or what but I was getting weird vibes by the entire staff team here as they kept giving me dirty looks as if I was unequal with the rest of the people dining in. Not to mention they don't check anyone else's payment before exiting the restaurant only ours. I would give a 0 star if that was an actual option. We enjoy this location although we live on the other side of Sount Mountain. We don't make it here that often but the new South Mountain Freeway helps. We're fortunate to usually score bar seats and have nothing but excellent service from the staff. We're craft beer drinkers, and the selection meets our needs. You'd think a bar would want to upsell their food to make more money? From 10 p.m.-1 a.m they have happy hour on their food where select appetizers are $4 & $5 each. My wife and I ordered 2 Diet Cokes, an order of Buffalo Chips, Loaded fries and a 1/2 lb. of boneless wings. All for $20. Helluva deal. The food was very delicious. While I liked the Loaded Fries, I LOVED the Buffalo Chips! Homemade sliced potatoes cooked perfectly with blue cheese crumbles and dressing. On the boneless wings I ordered honey bbq sauce and they were a winner as well. I would love to come back and try their pizza or calzones. I know starting at 9 p.m. beers were $3 but I don't get into beer too much. Karaoke is fun on Saturday nights and there was a decent crowd but you can easily find a table to sit at. I stopped in here the other day because I was starving and my cousin said he wanted to try this place. Sorry to say, but it was not a good choice. The restaurant was busy and decent-sized so I figured it would be okay. Normally I don't like going to restaurants like this as they remind me of Applebee's or Chili's but I decided to try it anyway. I ordered the caesar salad with fries while my cousin ordered the mozzarella sticks, wings, and mac and cheese for his daughter. When our food came out, my fries were cold as was the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese on the menu looked like large elbow noodles with delicious gooey cheese. What came out, was Kraft-style cold gloop. My salad was fine but nothing to return for. My cousin enjoyed his wings and said he would go back for those but that's about it. The food was averagely priced but definitely below average when it comes to quality. That being said, the service was excellent! We had more than one person stop by and check on us and they were very attentive. I never have very high expectations of Native New Yorker. I came to this place because it's close to home and they have karaoke that starts at 9 PM on Saturdays. My husband and I dropped in at around 10 PM and ordered some drinks and appetizers off the happy hour they had on the bar counters, and when our bill came the kind waitress decides to charge us full price for everything because she entered our orders in at 9:58 PM. It's probably my fault for not checking the exact time before I ordered, I know. But still, it'd be awesome if she could've said that we'd save $15 if we just waited a couple more minutes to order. We frequent Native quite a bit as it is one of the closest restaurants to our house. I have to say that this is the best Native that we have ever been to. The menu is not immense, but if you like wings, burgers or basic bar bites then you are set. What impresses me the most about THIS particular Native is their service. They actually have really good service here! This is the only Native that I have EVER been to with good service - so well done guys! It is clean, they have a decent beer selection and the food comes out quick; there isn't much more you can ask for. I will say that when the weather is nice they open all of the windows so you can smell the smokers that are outside even when you are sitting inside which I don't love, but when the windows are closed it is all good. read more

I'M SO HAPPY FOOTBALL SEASON IS HERE! and i practically live here... at native ny'er. no, i'm not a regular here because this is the best sports bar in town... and no, it's not because they have amazing food or anything. it just happens to be located across the street from where i live, and tragically (yes, tragically) arizona NEVER televises my NINERS or GIANTS games, so i'm forced to set up camp here like some deranged sports lunatic. i can only imagine what the staff thinks of me. i've shown up with my 2 yr old nephew in tow, with out of town friends, my brother, a gaggle of girlfriends, a rowdy group of guy friends, even a date or two. i even stopped in once by myself because i HAD to see the NY jets/eagles preseason game on my lap top. (yes, i bought the Preseason Pass on NFL.com, soooo worth it) i probably could have watched the game on my lap top at home, but didn't want to. so here's my take on their food. it's bar food. it does the job. the wings are too bready, but the beer is always cold. the bartenders are the best of the best. i forget his name, but one of the bartenders is really hilarious. he tells the funniest stories and always remembers exactly what i drink. bonus points for a heavy pour. and the best part... besides that it's cave-like dark and has about a million massive TV's? the arctic-blasting air conditioning! is always turned WAY UP. seriously, on a 112 degree day, it feels like heaven. they do have a nice patio area with misters, but it's still been way too hot to sit out there. perhaps now with the temps dropping and fall approaching, the patio will be a great place to watch games. we'll see. yeah so, if you're ever looking for me and can't seem to find me, odds are i'll be here. at the bar. like some crazed sports chick, clutching my beer and yelling at the TV. ok this review must come to an abrupt end. the patriots/bengals game is starting, i gotta go. $.49 cent per wing on Tuesdays and Thursdays - that's what brought me here when I had a HUGE craving for wings. Well, the place didn't do anything for me. The service was very mediocre. I even made a comment to my girlfriend about how lousy the waitress was. The loaded potato skins were delicious, though. They only brought out one tinyyyyy thing of sour cream, which irritated me. Native Grill & Wings is genuinely not the place of my style, and I don't usually go here often, but for multiple times, the location here has impressed me quite a bit. Unfortunately, not the point in which I was completely astonished. Without further ado, here are the simple reasons why I am only satisfactory with what I ate. Pros: All of the food that each of us ate was delicious. I ordered the Friday Fish Fry, my sister ordered the Strawberry Walnut Salad, and my father ordered the California Burger. The Friday Fish Fry was decently large. It included a fried fish with tartar sauce, a mini salad with mayonnaise, lots of French fries with ketchup, and two pieces of flatbread. The fish was extraordinarily crunchy and fresh. When I look to the other dishes, I saw that they are enjoying them as well. The Strawberry Walnut Salad is full of fresh greens, but not many strawberries. The service was extraordinary. They always seem to check on you every five to ten minutes, and if you happen to dislike a specific channel on TV, you can tell them and they will immediately change the channel. Cons: The location is tiny. During a football, basketball, soccer, etc. game, the place is CROWDED, and you may have to wait about 10-30 minutes until you get seated. (Wait until the Super Bowl XLIX starts. It will be absolutely miserable waiting for a SINGLE seat.) The food takes pretty long to prepare on these crowded days(then again, the forty-ninth Super Bowl) so you will have to be patient. One thing is for sure, I'm coming back (early) for the Super Bowl.
