if i could give negative 10 i would. This is the worst facilty in the US. Do not go here. These people will get your glasses wrong, not give you the right ones, not offer a refund, not have any remorse about stealing from you. I had my exam, i chose 4 pairs of Glasses. I went to pick up and only two were available. I went to pick up the last two and they were wrong. They told me i would have to come back to choose two more as they couldnt figure out what ones i initally chose. I was unable to return as I was run over by a Truck and was in Code Red hospital. My body was shattered and i was uinable to do anything for 8 months. I still cannot drive, I am still in recovery. I attempted to get the money back from the glasses that were never corrected and was told "Why couldn't you call while you were in hospital". Sorry we cant give you any money back. I explained that the glasses were wrong, they lost the inital choice paper work and i was hit by a truck while on the sidewalk on my bicycle. I was then able to speak to a "Regional Manager" or so she said and they promised a paper check refund do to the timeline. The refund never arrived either. I paid almost 2k for glasses that i never got and they never even refunded it. I was left in sobbs of tears and they were not concerned that i was in a wheelchair, in hospital, in pain, in recover, hit by a car, etc. They just want your hard earned money. read more

The Dr. is very personable, and takes the time to go over any concerns you may have. Thats rare these days! Even more unusual is office staff that are ALWAYS nice, helpful and go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy. Ive dealt with both Taylor and Bri numerous times while trying out different contacts. They called me at home when new ones came in to try, and even looked up a coupon on their personal cell phone to get me a "we match" discount that I would never have even known about! They are above and beyond when it comes to offering friendly, helpful customer service. In a world seemingly filled with office personnel who do only the bare minimum required to keep a job, and are obvious about their dislike for it and the customers who interrupt their Facebook scrolling, these girls are a true joy to deal with. I've been a customer at this location for more than four years and while I've never needed to write a negative review, I've also never been overwhelmed to write a terribly positive review, either. Here's the rundown and why they only get one star.... The first few years of my relationship with Nationwide Vision was good -- not great... just good. The Doctors change frequently, so it's difficult to build up any type of history, but I guess that is what a chart is for, right? For the record, my eyesight hasn't changed much over the years with the exception of a gradual decline due to age. I am near sighted, no astigmatism, wear contacts and when in the mood I switch to my glasses, and have slight allergies due to hay fever. All in all, I'm a pretty easy patient. What else hasn't changed in the past 5 years? My health insurance. I've had the SAME benefits, the SAME copay, the SAME EXACT carrier since I've been a patient with Nationwide. I basically get the same exact brand of contacts every year and can budget accordingly. However, this year I paid $50 more. I brought this to the front desk person's attention, and she insisted I was wrong... I went home, called insurance company, verified my benefits, went back in to the store to get my refund, and she refused. I showed her - well, I actually drew her a picture, and she refunded me $25. Come to find out, she actually charged me another $25 rather than refunding me, which has caused another nightmare with my FSA carrier, but that's another story for another day. I called the corporate office and basically got "into it" with that representative. After a solid 10 to 15 minute phone call of bantering back and forth, I gave up and decided that this was definitely a no-win situation. If you want to just be a patient with a chart, get what you need quickly (in and out) and possibly be overcharged (with no care of fixing the situation) then feel free to go to Nationwide Vision Center. Funny thing is, I don't mind being rushed in and out of the eye doctor. What really IRKED me was the overcharging and complacency to even help me get the situation resolved. So, what could have been an easy fix, ( I was willing to split the difference and take the $25 and call it good), has now resulted in a disgruntled customer, a crappy YELP rating, and the loss of a five year patient... Come 2015, I shall be looking for a new eyecare provider (Pun Intended). read more

Let me start off by saying I've seen bad reviews about other Nationwide locations and was vey hesitant to take my kids here. They never had an eye exam before so I didn't want their first experience to be the worst. However they took our insurance and one of my coworker said shes never had any problems with Nationwide. I booked 2 appointments for a Saturday the day before and got in with no problems. The office looked busy when we got there but a staff member still greeted us. I filled out the paperwork that was required and in 10 mins the kids were getting their exams done. The staff was friendly and made my kids feel at ease. The appointments went by rather smoothly and quickly. We were done within the hour for both exams and thats with one of my kids picking out glasses. Definitely will recommend this location. read more

Terrible customer service. To start off, when we originally went in and picked out our frames, there was an issue with Care Credit. Apparently the website was down and the rep told us she would place our order and call us back shortly when the website was back up. No big deal, that wasn't their fault. However, we never got a call back. We wanted to ensure our payment went through so we checked back in for a couple days but each told we were told that Care Credit was still down, and then it became "I don't know how to use Care Credit" and the ONE person who does know how isn't here. Every day there was a different excuse. Finally our payment was collected and one of the frames actually came in the next day. But we still had two more pending. Fast forward almost exactly a month later and we are still missing our two other pairs and no one has got ahold of us. We started calling each day and were told several different things about why there was such a delay. On several days we called and no one answered and they had a voicemail, but the voicemail was full?? Ridiculous. We finally went above the store's head and contacted the district manager who helped us. But even she couldn't get ahold of the store, and she originally thought we picked up all of our glasses a month ago. Once she got involved things moved along and we got our glasses in two days, which is cool but one of the frames wasn't even the one we originally ordered. It was the wrong color. But after all this hassle there was no way we were contacting them again. read more

My kids get their eyes checked here the past few years and customer service wanes. Sometimes it is super excellent and sometimes so so. We've never gotten bad customer service. The eye doctors are always nice, as well as the ones who do the pre-screening. Whomever helps my kids with their glasses are always nice. However, sometimes the front desk people give anywhere from 3-5 stars for customer service. It just depends whom. The rest of the people attending to my kids are 4.5-5 stars. Sometimes they just have too many people, but that's fine. read more

But the door will not release contacts to me to take to other store. Store won't call other stores to setup class. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT THIS PLACE. First my son went here and received an eye exam and paid $250 for new pair of glasses. They arrived three weeks later and they were the wrong prescription. He went back and received another eye exam from a different doctor who determined the first diagnosis was completely incorrect! My daughter also arrived at 10:06am for a 10:15am appointment and was turned away for being late! The unhealthy attitude lady at the counter was cold and has zero customer service skills. She should not be working in public. We definitely will NOT be giving this place any more business. I wish I would have read the Yelp reviews on this place before wasting valuable time with them. read more

Pick another company. The docs here are always professional and the front desk associates are fine. It's when you have to deal with the "manager" that things go awry. Visited the location today with my wife to get a pair of glasses thru our Medicare which states $200 frame free Including eye exam. . The doctor and the lady doing the eye tests are very nice. Sorry to say the front desk girls need to be more courteous and polite. Not a good experience. We were told to fill forms before looking and checking if we like the prices and frames. Had to fill 8 pages of forms. ( by the time you fill these lengthy paperwork, your eyes will definitely need glasses) finally after eye exam the order was being taken. We were given prices for upgrading to anti reflective and transitional lenses as $25 and $35. We passed on it at the time. Later my wife called within 5 mins of leaving the store to ask if she could add the upgrades in her glasses . the girl gave a run around to make the change stating she had processed the insurance order already. She obliged to change and quoted a price for the two upgrades as $ 130??? We were surprised. later she correctEd and saI'd that the insurance price was less. she required had quoted with insurance at $17.50 and $ 35 per lens???hence to talking to over $120. Well, I never heard of paying separately for each lens in a "pair of glasses". That would mean you can choose one lens to be transitional and other regular??? There is more to share but let me end by saying overall a poor experience. Shop elsewhere as this company goes all out to get the tag up on you in a rather pushy way. Beware...... read more

I was looking around for a new vision place for my mother. I decided to take my mother with me few days ago to nationwide vision. I came to this location and of course we get in and started looking around the glasses frame sections. There was people and I understood they were busy then. Well after everyone left, my mother and I were the only ones in the store. There was 2 ladies working, they started chatting around to each other and didn't even bother to knowledge us or at least ask us if we needed any help. My mother sit down on one of the front tables where they help customers out. Nope they went straight back to their back desks like there wasn't anyone in the store. That's my first and last time I take a step inside a Nationwide Vision Store. Worse customer experience. I don't recommend it to anyone. read more

This is the most horrible eyecare center I have been to, the Shop manager is absolutely rude and eye doctor is NOT competent. They gave me wrong prescription for my eyes, I could not see properly for a week. When I went there to get my eyes rechecked the eye doctor told me that I was having a bad day that that is the reason they gave me wrong prescription. They did not admit their mistake and on top of that did not refund me my monies for frame/lenses. Save yourself a big hassle and do not even go to this place !! read more

What a breath of fresh air. My employer recently switched our vision insurance, and gave us a huge list of providers. I was very happy with my old eye doctor, but they didn't take our new insurance. I went to a few places on the list, in San tan village, and was met with a hard sell. My husband and I decided to go check out Nationwide ( it was on the list also) and were instantly greeted by a girl with a huge smile on her face. She asked us if there was anything she could help us with, and after our last experience a few minutes ago, I quickly asked her if she knew of our new insurance, because it was very confusing. She asked us a few simple questions, found our insurance, and even gave us a piece of paper that explained our new plan. She helped us both look at new glasses. She made us feel comfortable, all while handing my husband and I glasses to try on. She listened to us, and didn't make us sit down at a computer like the other places did to crunch numbers. I was in this store yesterday to have them help me with a problem with some glasses I purchased from one of their other stores. The difference was night and day as soon as I walked in their door. I was offered help to pick out a second pair of frames which the first place I went to they couldn't even come out from behind the counter to help me. They were the only two employees in the store the whole time I was in there. Then my prescription got messed up which caused me to go here instead. I was educated in 5 minutes what I needed to be looking for in a pair of glasses to fit the shape of my face. In the 40 years I have worn glasses no one has ever taken that time to teach me anything about how to pick out a pair of frames. I was so happy to finally find something that looks good on me. I thought the ones I have been wearing for the last 12 years were right for me but I was very surprised to find out how wrong I was and have it pointed out to me as to the reason they were wrong. The lady who helped me, Rusty, should be a trainer for the personnel at these stores. They were not only knowledgeable but they handled the return of the first pair and helped me pick out a pair to replace them. In all I ended up purchasing 2 pair from this store (actually one because they exchanged the first pair) and am confident that they are right for me. Very impressed with the care and concern from this store. read more
