Framing work was completed by Luis from Nationwide Framing and Drywall and owner of Texas Drywall and Painting. Framing does not Pass Inspection
The joist should go directly under the roof supports which is not the case with the framing done.
The remainder of the joist 2x6-16 on center , or 2x8-24 on center should be spaced accordingly once the joist are set under the roof supports. Luis did part of the ceiling 16 on center, then 20-24 on center but used 2x6. He did not follow the Structural Engineering plans that we provided by email, and the printed plans which we tacked unto the walls.
Luis used plywood under the roof supports. The plywood is currently sagging because the weight of the roof is not supported correctly. We were told they have never seen that done and this is not to code.
We made many attempts to resolve these issues with Luis directly before writing this review but to this date Luis has not called us back and has not fixed the framing that he completed and is not to code and he did not follow the structural engineering plans we gave him.
12/28/22 @ 09:28 am I sent Luis a text requesting that he come fix the framing because the plywood on the ceiling was getting deformed from the pressure from the roof supports. 12/29/22 @ 5:56 pm he called me and he agreed to come by on Monday 1/2/23. 12/29/22 I sent Luis a text to please let me know at what time he's coming Monday 1/2/23 to fix the framing, he did not respond. 1/1/23 @ 5:36 pm I sent another text asking him at what time he was coming tomorrow, no response. 1/2/23 @ 9:37 am I called Luis on his cell, my call went directly to voicemail. 9:40 am I called Nationwide Framing and Sheetrock 512-537-3316 my call went directly to voicemail. I never heard back from Luis.
1/2/23 We were able to reach Luis by using a different cell number which Luis picked up immediately. He said nobody wanted to work today. Luis scheduled to come to fix the framing on 1/7/23 at 12 noon, he did not show. read more
