Prompt/polite response and amazing quality work! Joel answered my request fast, was able to come out to my home that day and did a very high-quality repair to my drywall. I can't recommend him enough and if needed, I will absolutely not hesitate to use him again! read more

Joel is the man. I just can't get over how helpful he was on my project. I called him on a Saturday. He picked right up and told me that he could be in to help me on Monday, and he just went above and beyond. Like, literally oiled my door hinges for me, even though that had nothing to do with the project. He just noticed the front door was squeaking and decided to take care of it. The drywall work was great. It was a tricky patch because the ceiling drywall that he was patching was about a quarter inch out of flush, but you would never know based on the work Joel did. Very thoughtful texture work and was ready to paint as soon as he was gone. I appreciated all the care he took into making sure that my floors were protected and that drywall dust didn't get anywhere. In summary, Joel's your guy. Fair pricing, super hard worker, and full of integrity. read more

I have dealt with a lot of different companies and people with projects in my homes, and I have to say that Mr. Guzman is by far the most professional, considerate, and skilled so far. He was so easy to work with to decide how best to accomplish my goal for the project. He was reasonably priced as well. Then he showed up when he said he would, completed the work in a timely fashion, cleaned up everything (even outside!) I just noticed that he even put my water hose back where I stored it before leaving! These little things make such a big difference! Highly recommend him for any project. read more

Joel was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for more. Great price (even had other bids) and solid work. Had him patch some holes and a larger area that was torn out from some other work (all in my garage). Finished product looks great and the job area was clean and free of debris when he left. Had him quote a few more projects while here working on this one. Take a look at my before and after pictures to see for your self! read more

I'm very happy with the work! He did a great job patching the drywall and handling everything from start to finish, including materials, taping, floating, and texturing. The repair looks clean and professional, and he was very kind and friendly throughout the whole process. I'm really satisfied with the results and would definitely recommend him to others. Reasonable Price. I messaged him on Yelp last night, and he came today to fix it! Awesome guy! read more

Joel with Guzman Drywall was fantastic from start to finish. I hired him to drywall my outdoor shed that I'm converting into an office, and the finish work was absolutely perfect - smooth, clean, and ready for paint. Communication was excellent throughout the entire project. Joel was responsive, clear about timelines, and kept me in the loop every step of the way. His pricing was fair and straightforward, with no surprises. The quality of the work speaks for itself. Joel went above and beyond on every detail, and somehow still managed to get the job done quickly without cutting any corners. I'm extremely pleased with how everything turned out. On top of being a skilled craftsman, Joel is genuinely one of the friendliest, most pleasant contractors I've ever worked with. It's rare to find someone who delivers top-notch work and is a pleasure to have around. If you need drywall work done right, I can't recommend Joel and Guzman Drywall highly enough. I'll definitely be working with him for any future projects. read more

Joel was prompt with a quote, showed up at the time he scheduled the job and completed the job with great craftsmanship. I had two large drywall openings from a remediation job that needed restoration with texture. He did an excellent job. He was also so clean during the entire job .... Put down plastic to avoid tracking drywall dust to/from the door, plastic around the area of the work, and kept shoe covers on his shoes. So appreciated since I had just deep cleaned the affected room after the remediation project. I highly recommend him and I will be calling him for a future bath remodel I have planned. read more

Too expensive and my job was not worth him being competitive with bids. Seems like he's as busy as he wants to be

Joel does excellent work. The whole process from start to finish was excellent. I hired painters to paint the inside of my house. They also did a few drywall patches/repairs. My house was built in the late 70's and has crow's foot texture on the walls, which is very difficult to match. The painter's patches looked terrible and did not blend in with the rest of the wall at all. Joel came over and explained what was needed to make the walls look right. He said he could match the texture. When he came to do the work, he and his helper masked off everything. He was very neat and clean. He put on a skim coat, then matched the texture expertly. The patched areas completely disappeared. When he was done, he cleaned up very well. He clearly respected my home. Aside from an expert at drywall, he is also a very nice person. He did excellent work, and got it done timely, and his price was fair. I already have him scheduled to come out and do another drywall repair for me. If you need any type of drywall repair at all, Joel and Guzman Drywall is your man. read more

Once again, exceptional service. This time Joel patched dozens of screw holes and wall cracks, and then painted. Excellent communication throughout. No need to look anywhere else--you'll get the best here. read more

Joel and Alex left after about 9 hours of work replacing a portion of our living room ceiling and I could not be happier. Well I could if I won the lottery or had great grandchildren but as far as having Guzman Drywall take care of my problem for a reasonable price - wonderful. Great communication and cleanup. I will call Joel and not the guys who did not respond if I need dry wall repair! read more

Searched through many folks for drywall repair after a leak that left two large holes in our living room walls. Joel had many great reviews so I gave him a shot. The reviews are true and I'm adding another! Seriously efficient, obviously experienced, high quality, affordable, and very kind. He patched our holes and matched texture nicely. Hope this review helps someone in their search - Joel's you're guy. read more

Highly recommend. Affordable, great communication and reliable. He took down an entertainment center, patched holes and painted.

The GOAT of Drywall - Flawless Work and Professionalism. I had Guzman Drywall come out to patch and texture a section of drywall, and he absolutely crushed it. He showed up on time, got straight to work -- and the result? You'd never even know there was damage to begin with. His texture matching was spot-on, which is tough to do -- and he left the worksite spotless. Super responsive (replied within 30 minutes), showed real craftsmanship, and clearly takes pride in his work. If you need drywall work in the Leander area, this is your guy. Straight-up GOAT status. Don't even hesitate. read more

I hired Joel to install drywall for my kitchen backsplash, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. He got back to me quickly with a very fair quote and great availability (he came out the next day!) He arrived on time, and with some complicated problems to tackle about the area upon assessment, he was very knowledgeable about how to tackle the situation. I'm glad I trusted his advice because he completed the project same day with a top tier result. The drywall looks so good I'm joking that I could just leave the backsplash as is without painting or tiling haha. And the best part is he left my house spotless like no one had even been there. Don't bother getting other quotes just go with Joel he checks all the boxes! read more

Joel responded within an hour of my email and by the next hour I had a firm quote. I'm still in awe of how quickly he finished our study - Sheetrock repairs and paint. Even more amazing was that he showed up exactly on time, immediately protected our white oak floors and all surrounding furniture and got straight to work. He and his team were meticulous with every detail and just as impressive is what a genuinely nice person Joel is. Highly recommend when you are looking for high quality, professional work. read more

Shocker, here comes another 5 star review! I think we're all noticing lately how everything sucks, right? Food doesn't taste as good but costs more, appliances break down less than a year after you've bought them, and getting anything fixed on your house results in either a. taking out a loan to pay the workers b. receiving mediocre work or c. having to fix what the previous worker did wrong. Just me? Thankfully, my luck appears to be on the mend. My new lucky streak led me to reaching out to Guzman Drywall to patch some holes. He immediately responded, gave me an extremely fair estimate, and came out the next morning! People say I have the golden gut for reading people. I can chat with someone for five minutes and be able to tell you if you should marry them or dig up their lawn to look for bodies. Immediately upon meeting Mr. Guzman I felt at ease. He is just an absolutely sweet, polite, and decent person who I could tell takes a lot of pride in his work. And trust me, it shows. I sent "the after" photos to my friends once he'd finished because it looked so good. He made sure to leave marks for the baseboard guys so that they wouldn't nail where pipes were located in the wall. He took extra care with my home, making sure everything was protected before he started and cleaned up when he was done. It was almost like he hadn't been here. He's. Just. That. Good. If you need some patching done, do NOT hesitate to work with this company. You won't regret it. You might even be like me and contemplate knocking some holes in the wall just to have him come out again. Just kidding. I won't be doing that. read more

I hired Joel to redo all the drywall in my kitchen because of my excellent experience with him in June of 2022. The kitchen was stripped down to the studs as part of a remodel. He stepped in and made it look perfect. He does not disappoint. The man is kind and professional. He is an expert in his field and works diligently to make sure he is providing his customers with a top notch experience from start to finish. He is clean and quick. He is fun to be around. His work can't be beat. Hire him. read more

I sent some photos and Joel responded quickly, asked some clarifying questions and gave me a great quote to patch, and refinish some drywall after I had demoed out a backsplash in the kitchen. I generally don't write reviews, but I'll make an exception as Joel's work is outstanding! I texted him photos of the areas that needed to be repaired, and he responded the same night with reasonable quotes. He came to my home the next morning. He carefully protected my flooring and furniture, and then did an amazing and neat (!!) job. He was also very patient and accommodating when I continued to find additional repairs that I had forgotten to ask about the night prior (sorry, Joel!) I will recommend him without hesitation to my family and friends, and he'll be my first call if more repairs are needed in my home. Thanks, Joel! read more

Working with Joel is amazing! I'm doing a big renovation in our house in Southwest Austin and I'm working with a number of different trades/contractors. Joel is by far my favorite. He is easy to work with and very VERY good. He put up a new wall for us to have another bedroom, and also replaced the drywall after we removed our old ugly fireplace. And his texture matches perfectly. I wish I could clone him and that new clone could do all the other work we need just as well as he does drywall now. THANK YOU JOEL!!! read more

Joel and his team did a timely, fantastic job in the one day window we had between pulling out the old HVAC (that had flooded the HVAC closet drywall) & installing the new HVAC so we'd have heat in the middle of winter. They bid quickly & reasonably, showed up on time, worked quickly & professionally & color matched the older wall paint better than we had, added an upgraded primer product to the HVAC closet & cleaned up their jobsite perfectly. All looks fantastic! New HVAC went in today to the new closet! Highly recommend. read more

Joel Guzman was quick to respond to my request. We exchanged text messages right up until he arrived. I had two holes in my bathroom wall that needed to be patched and textured. He gave me a more than fair quote for the work. When he arrived, I showed him a third area that needed to be repaired and he gave me an on the spot quote for that one too (also a very fair price). All told, he was very affordable. He worked quickly and kept the area clean. Joel, was courteous from start to finish. I will keep him in mind for future drywall projects. Joel Guzman is the guy you want to call when you have a major issue and need help. I had an electrical issue that required several sections of drywall to be cut and I honestly wish I had made an indicator of where the damage was because I can't tell anymore. The attention to detail that Mr. Guzman has to texture and paint, it's incredible. He is very skilled at his trade and couples it with a friendly attitude. His work ethic shows and the attention he pays to your project and treats you like you are the only customer in the world. He has every tool needed to do the job and didn't require any interaction from me while he went to work. He will be the only person I would call in the future for any needs.
