My wife reached out to National Van Lines as we prepared for a move from South Carolina to Michigan. We had a very bad experience with another moving company for the move to SC, which my wife explained to the scheduling consultant. My wife was assured things would be very different with National Van Lines and that it would be a much better experience than our previous multi-state move. Things went sideways as we got close to the moving date. First, the subcontracted driver called on Monday to inform us he would be there on Tuesday, even though National Van Lines had scheduled his arrival for Wednesday. (We had made arrangements to have our pets transported on Tuesday so they would be out of the way when the movers arrived.) The additional loading help was a no-show, so another crew had to be found in the spur of the moment. They rushed and rushed to help my wife finish packing, since I was already in Michigan to close on our new home. At the end of the day, a good chunk of our possessions were not loaded into the truck, and the driver claimed a personal situation would delay the delivery of our possessions for two weeks. My wife was extremely stressed and upset over the experience. My wife delayed her departure to Michigan until Wednesday. She spent most of the day sorting through what had been left at the house, taking a bunch of things to the dump and some to be donated. She loaded her vehicle to the max and began the two-day drive to Michigan Wednesday night, leaving more stuff in the house. She arrived in Michigan late Thursday night, still stressed and upset. She had been in touch with our consultant at National Van Lines, who was totally in the dark about what the driver had communicated to us. I made travel arrangements to fly out of Michigan early Friday morning, landing in South Carolina late in the morning. I rented a van and drove to our house. I finished loading the rest of our possessions into the rental and cleaned up the mess left behind by the movers. Then I made the two-day drive to Michigan, arriving late Saturday night. We unloaded the moving van Sunday morning before I returned the van and hit the road to travel to a client site. Between the flight, van rental, hotel, and travel expenses, that was more than $1,000 of additional expenses (on top of a bill of more than $13,000) out of pocket. We were out running an errand about an hour from the house on a Sunday when my wife got a call from National Van Lines asking where we were, because the delivery driver (a different person than the one who picked up our stuff) was at the house ready to unload. We rushed back to the house and worked with a great driver and crew to get things unloaded. I reached out to National Van Lines afterward about filing a claim for the additional expenses of my trip to South Carolina to finish the job that we paid them to do. They denied our claim because we had already received a meager stipend for the delay in delivering our stuff (a couple of hundred dollars). The fact that the extra expense was a direct result of their contractor not completing the job was completely ignored. When I contacted them to ask for a reconsideration, they stopped replying to us. The consulting team is great. They hyped up the quality and standards of National Van Lines, and how their contractors follow the same high level of professionalism. Unfortunately, that isn't the case. Thankfully, we do not plan to move again. But if we had to, we would not call on National Van Lines again. read more

We hired National Van Lines for a cross-country move from San Jose to Madison, and unfortunately the experience has fallen well short of what we were promised. Pickup was rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice (8/4 to 8/5). Communication after the contract was signed was inconsistent at best: emails went unanswered, calls were often met with "I don't know," and we found ourselves initiating nearly every status update. We weren't able to get a confirmed arrival time for the rescheduled pickup day until that same morning. The loading crew worked very quickly, carrying up to four boxes stacked on their backs at a time, including ones marked FRAGILE GLASS. On a couple of occasions that pace resulted in items being dropped from roughly six feet up, with no acknowledgment or change in approach. An item was also left behind at pickup despite being pointed out multiple times before the crew left. We were told our belongings would go directly onto a trailer and remain there until delivery. That did not happen. They have been sitting in a storage unit near our old house, in high heat, for 13 days, something we only discovered because we placed a tracker in one of our own boxes. When we asked directly where our shipment was, we were told it was on a truck. It was not. After we mentioned our tracker data, we were told they didn't know why it was in storage either. We called for updates every day and received no new information until 8/14, one day before our 8/15-8/20 delivery window was set to begin, when we were told the assigned driver's truck had broken down and the new estimate was 8/26. As of this writing, our belongings are still in that storage unit. We understand that mechanical issues happen. What's harder to understand is why, in a major metro area with many carriers and drivers, an alternative couldn't be arranged in the 13 days since our items were picked up, and why we weren't told about any of this until the day before our window opened despite calling every single day. National Van Lines' entire function is coordinating loaders, drivers, and unloaders. We'd genuinely like to understand what happened operationally over the past two weeks, and we hope the company will use this as an opportunity to review its internal communication between departments, since that was consistently the weakest part of this experience. The compensation currently offered, $150 a night toward a hotel plus half of meal costs, or a $100 per diem (not per person), starting only after 8/20, does not reflect the actual disruption and cost this has caused us. We're hoping National Van Lines will reconsider this and work with us toward a fair resolution, both in terms of getting our belongings delivered on a date we can rely on, and in terms of compensation that reflects what this move has actually cost us. National has huge shortage of Drivers but will NOT tell you this when you inquire on move but will tell you the opposite and that your delivery will be made by National Trucks in a quick timely matter - only once you sign you furniture will be placed unknown to you in some warehouse as for 4 weeks now they try and find a driver for it!! Our mover, Mike V, was friendly and efficient. He carefully took apart 100 year old furniture and wrapped everything beautifully. He noted needed minor repairs on other furniture pieces and then fixed several of those issues himself during move in! His crew was polite and worked so quickly on both sides of the move. If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience with National Van Lines has been nothing short of a complete disaster, and I feel obligated to warn anyone considering this company: STAY FAR AWAY. My belongings were in their possession for a MONTH, and they have completely failed to meet not one, but TWO separate delivery windows--with absolutely no accountability, no urgency, and barely any communication. Per my contract, delivery was supposed to happen between 03/24 and 04/07. I called multiple times during that window asking for updates and got nothing. Crickets. Finally, after pushing and calling non-stop, I received an email on 03/31--not even a phone call--suddenly revising my delivery window to 04/07-04/12. And guess what? They missed that window too. The morning of 04/10, I got a call from the driver saying my delivery won't arrive until Sunday, 04/13. When I asked about compensation for the delays, I was told there's "nothing they can do" because my shipment was under 3,500 lbs. So apparently, they can completely blow past their commitments with zero penalty, and the customer just has to deal with it. Unreal. This company has caused massive disruption to my life--personal plans ruined, work impacted, and all the stress of being without my things with no clear timeline or support. Not one person has taken ownership. Not one person has apologized. Not one offer of compensation or accountability. It's like they just don't care. I hired National Van Lines because I believed their reputation. That was a huge mistake. They have completely failed to deliver--literally and figuratively. Save yourself the nightmare. Use a company that actually respects its customers and honors its commitments. National Van Lines is not that company. I also let them know in my last email that I would be reporting them to the Attorney General of Consumer Affairs & The Better Business Bureau as well as posting this review. NVL moved me from the Bay Area to Colorado. They were about 50% more than any other mover quoted me, but I was encouraged by, among other things, their commitment to quality work and prompt resolution of claims. Ha! I grossly overpaid and they refuse to make good on the items they broke or lost. They delivered +/- 60 boxes to my apartment. Other than setting up the furniture, they did not unpack any boxes. Over the next couple of weeks, I unpacked all 60 boxes. I discovered that a device used with my bed (an Eight Sleep hub) was missing, and they damaged a trophy shelf. I timely submitted a claim. Incredibly, they denied the claim on the grounds that I hadn't identified the issues 'on the delivery papers'. How could I possibly identify that something was lost or damaged when the property was delivered??? Utter nonsense. My bed frame was also delivered damaged. I showed the move supervisor the damage, and one of his crew tried to fix the problem to no avail. NVL denied the claim as if none of this happened. The total amount of the loss or damage is around $2,000. I was offered $20. NVL's strategy is clearly to deny claims at first, hoping the client will give up. read more

Warning, this was an awful experience. The date of the move changed the day-of the move, which caused a ripple in our entire departure causing us to lose booking on hotels and as you can imagine having to shift the entire support on the other side of the move. Then the same exact thing happened the day of delivery, changed at the last minute after calling me to give me a "100% guarantee" of the delivery date and thus I had to make payment immediately while on the road, when that delivery date did not even occur. I was also charged over $1,000 for a shuttle service that was not used and paid $200 for a TV box when the movers simply wrapped it in with no box. read more

I received a call the day before our cross country move date to try to get me to reschedule which at that time I made them aware that I could not. CS stated that no one accepted this load until the night before. The crew showed with no packing materials. A moving company with nothing to pack the kitchen, and artwork even after I did a video call inventorying kitchen and paintings. Cesar the leader who arrived first at 7:50am, quit and drove off at 9am and never came back. After several calls to Tiffany in CS I came up with idea myself that the two workers who were left go to Home Depot and buy materials. There was no mattress bags/covers even after I did a video call inventorying bedrooms. Other furniture was placed on the truck unprotected which I made them pull it back off, and repack After 8 phone calls with Tiffany in CS, Lori (her supervisor) made me aware that this case had not been escalated. Even after the leader walked off the job, and with a crew too small to do the job, and no packing materials. So all the phone calls to Tiffany saying they were escalating to Operations was not true. Several items were loaded with insufficient protection. Shrink wrapping alone does not protect furniture from a long distance move. When workers shrink wrap their hands go right through when they carry the items leaving them open to dirt and insects etc... (I have pictures that were taken inside the truck to verify) Lori, (CS supv) said that they would take the truck to their Broadview office to "re-pack" properly things that had been improperly pack. Several items were left behind because there was insufficient packing materials and boxes. Coffee maker, knife set, tea pot, cookware etc... Paintings were put between mattresses instead of being boxed and protected. It took a 2 person crew 13hrs which put us a day behind on our relocation plans. I have done a lot of long distance moves in the last 5 years and National Van Lines was by far the best experience! They picked up the shipment exactly when they said they would, stored it for me for 4 months, and then delivered it right on time. Other movers will give you a two week window when they are going to deliver, but National just asked me for my move in date and guaranteed that my furniture would be delivered within 1 day of that date. They called me the week before to confirm the delivery and then confirmed again the day before, so there was no guess work involved. Brian Santostefano and Sue Mackey were always so responsive and helped coordinate the entire move flawlessly. Truly, they made it so stress-free on my end, I can't recommend them enough! read more

The first day of the scheduled move began with major issues that grew as the day progressed. I was expecting a crew of packers to arrive as had been promised. However, by mid-morning no one had arrived. I called customer service and was told that they would check on it. By mid day still no one had arrived to pack our household. I again contact customer service and was told that they had contacted the moving crew and that a truck and moving crew would arrive the next day to do all of the packing and loading on the same day. I asked about the piano and what work would be done to prepare the piano for shipping, customer service seemed surprised that the move included a piano. Apparently, no provision was made for the piano, more on that later. The second day of the move a truck arrive around 8:00am. The crew consisted of 2 men, they were expecting additional helpers which did not arrive until 11:30am. The additional help was just 2 men which brought the total to four workers. The expectation that packing and loading would be accomplished on one day with the size of the move was unrealistic. As the day wore on the workers tired and numerous items had to be addressed as things were missed and not packed. The frenetic pace that was Imposed on the packing/loading crew was the cause of the mistakes, as not enough time and personnel were assigned to our move. As I mentioned earlier, our move included a piano. I discussed this item with the moving project manger, when we performed the video walk-thru of my house prior to National's quote. No provision for the piano was made and the packing crew had no equipment to properly move the piano. As a result the piano sustained numerous scratches and dents in the process of moving it out of our house. My review is not an indictment of the moving crew, they performed admirably given the situation in which they were placed. It is my view that there were inadequate planning processes in place resulting in abysmal execution of the move. The result was a high level of stress and a complete waste of a day of my wife's and my time. Our load was cross docked (moved to a different truck), and as a result, many items were damaged. I was charged over $600 for packing materials for tv's and mattresses that were never packed, and am still trying to get a refund 8 weeks later. Someone always answers the main number when you call, but they can rarely help with problems. Customer service fell short of expectations. I have been following up with them every 2-3 days for 8 weeks, and my issues remain unresolved. I did receive a partial refund, and the person they sent to repair some of the damaged furniture did an ok job, but he was unable to repair all of the things that were damaged. However, I had to write about my experience with National Van Lines and specifically my interaction with Brian Santostefano. I was moving my elderly parents from Massachusetts to Florida and there was another stop after the house was packed up. Brian literally worked with us ENDLESSLY to make certain this move went smoothly. Brian worked with us real time when we were adding and removing items so my family always had an accurate invoice. The night before the move, there was a change and I sent Brian an email at about 9pm EST to give him a "heads-up" about something and immediately received a text asking if we could discuss my changes. Brian stayed up with me to almost 10:30pm working with me to be certain the invoice was up to date and that the changes were accurate so he could send the update to dispatch. Brian was always polite, funny and empathetic to this difficult move. He worked tirelessly to make sure it was a positive experience during a rough transition. There is not enough words to say how truly appreciative myself and my family were for his kindness and his 5 star customer service. He also handled last minute changes good naturedly. Well we used them a second time. Not so great an experience. Pick up in Delaware (moving back to CA) was sloppy and not orderly. Our sales person, Spencer White, disappeared right before the move and found out he'd quit without us knowing. He assured us he'd be involved in the move back when he quoted us price to move back. Could have let us know he was departing. Plus we had down sized by over half our goods, but price was almost as expensive as the move from CA to DE a year earlier. Not recommended anymore. read more

It's been over a year and we've not seen a dime for our damages. The VP of Quality emailed me that she saw my claim was settled. I emailed back that it indeed was not and never heard a word. Even AQMS, their storage company they saddled with the claim, who was trying to help faded off into the background. They told me several times they couldn't afford to settle the claim. So overall we had the worst move in a history of at least 7 moves, a few cross country like this one and National couldn't bother themselves with honoring insurance nor making it right. I filed a grievance with FMCSA and that didn't even get a response from National. DON'T use National unless you want the poorest customer service all around. It started with the packing contractors and persisted through our entire move!!! ------------------------------- Response to Dierdra The claim that was successfully resolved was a very small portion of the load. I paid for coverage of the ENTIRE load, which is based on size/weight, its not a flat rate no matter the size. The claim you are referring to was a drop-off before storage. I was told that the rest of the load was not covered (even though we PAID for coverage for the entire load) because our shipment went into storage and the condition could not be assessed. Of course it was assessed. The storage company documented all the damage when they took the shipment. Not only was this not communicated at time of coverage purchase (that anything going into storage wouldn't be covered), why would you even offer it for the portion of the shipment that went in to storage if you don't honor it?!?!?. I paid over $10K for coverage of the the entire load and what I got was coverage for a fraction of the load. Our salesperson was aware that the bulk of the load was going into storage yet chose to charge me for services that would not be honored instead of explaining that I could only use it for the very small amount dropped off at our temporary apartment and only offering insurance for what could be used, which would have been a much much smaller charge. I asked for a refund of the coverage since it wasn't provided; but of course National didn't honor that either. read more

Because of the steepness of our driveway, all of our stuff had to be moved to a smaller truck and this was all included in the original price. National Van Lines did a superb job moving my mom's belongings from a rural town in northern New York to Virginia. The mover, Jerry, was wonderful, an expert who packed and moved everything with care and stayed in touch throughout the move. I picked NVL after extensive research because it did a virtual evaluation of items to be moved, provided a binding estimate and did not require any payment until the move was completed. I would have given it 5 stars except for the miscommunication on the shuttle charge. A company rep had told me there was no charge for the shuttle and I did not notice the charge was on the estimate until after I signed it. Another rep then confirmed they do not charge for this and when I asked why it was on the estimate he did not respond, saying that the estimate was binding. I would have picked them anyway but wish they had been upfront about this $500 charge. Everything else was perfect. I am grateful the company fit our move into its schedule and Jerry did this job, which was difficult given the rural location. read more

The main issue was that NVL only sent one mover so my husband and son had to help move and we all unwrapped furniture and unpacked valuables. Fortunately the only heavy piece was an armoire that had to go upstairs. Regardless, this move was $5300 (for FL - MD - MA) and we paid for this service that we had to personally do. The local FL movers (Joe Bonnie) were PHENOMENAL if anyone needs an FL mover. As an aside, the mover wasn't a very good driver and took off some of our cherry tree. Aaron Bacon, the agent tasked with coordinating my cross-country move, didn't take the move at all seriously, at any point in the process. First, on the initial contract - which should have been the easiest part - he misspelled my name and got my address wrong. I asked him to correct the errors. He corrected the address, but misspelled my name again. I asked him to correct it again, and this time he told me to just sign it anyway and he'd fix it later. Obviously, for something as serious as loading my entire life into a truck to carry it across the country, I couldn't take any chances with the contract not technically being under my name. If anyone should understand the importance of that, it should be Aaron. Next, he took nearly a month to give me even a tentative loading day, and would only give me any details at all when I repeatedly asked him. I shouldn't have needed to ask at all. It was his job to coordinate the move and it was his job to keep me updated on the progress. He didn't give me an official loading date until 3 days before the tentative date, which again, took a several emails to get from him. Even when he did, he couldn't be absolutely sure about it and said it was probably okay for me to buy a plane ticket. Again, this was literally 3 days before the move. "Probably" isn't acceptable 3 weeks before the move, let alone 3 days. As for the delivery date, he first only gave me a range of almost two weeks, and only gave me a "non-confirmed" delivery date on the day I was flying out - the day after the loading day. It was extremely important to know how long I'd be living without all of my things. I needed to arrange places to stay without knowing how long I'd be staying. Finally, he never told me about the payment method, nor did he tell the contractors carrying out the actual move. The workers on the loading end thought I'd prepaid, which I hadn't, but I can't fault them because it was Aaron's job to tell them. The workers on the delivery end also didn't know if I'd paid already or how I was supposed to pay if I hadn't. Again, can't fault them. They had me call a number on the contract. The woman who answered told me that I was supposed to have gotten a link to an online payment system. Again, that was Aaron's job, not that woman's, not the contractors'. I've seen so many glowing reviews of specifically him on here - what happened with my move? I was never rude to him, I was way more patient with him than I had any reason to be, and I did everything correctly on my end - what gives? With all of that said, the movers themselves were fantastic - they were very professional, they loaded my things very quickly and very securely, and they arrived at the destination two days early. If they worked for National itself, their excellent service would have bumped my rating up to 2 or maybe 3 stars, but since they were contractors working with National, my rating does not reflect them. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They contract out to terrible companies. They come late. They do not bring all your items. They will damage your items. They contracted through another company that arrived the first day of the agreed-to window. They arrived 4 hours later than they said. When they came, the owner of the contracted company berated us on reasons it would cost more and how they weren't prepared for our move. The move took more than 8 hours for a 2 bedroom house. I've had experiences where half that time is more reasonable. They did not take all our items - they had forgotten to look in the pantry and one of the bathrooms. When I noted this, they said they wouldn't take those things because they're perishable. They were wrong - items that were missed included a crockpot, a rice cooker, a push mower, parts to a vacuum, and several baskets. They kept pushing back the delivery date and said they had to delivery the day after the window. I insisted they show up in the contracted time - I needed my things for work. They came on the final day of the window, nearly a month after picking up my items. When we received them, it was clear how poorly they packed everything. They used "dish boxes" for everything (something we were repeatedly warned would cost us extra), but they just threw all our dishes in, without wrapping things. With that kind of packing, obviously many things were damaged. Nothing was marked so as they were bringing in boxes, asking where to place them, obviously no one had any idea since they were not marked. Once the movers were done, it was clear that about 1/3rd of our move never made it. They had left two crates of our stuff at the warehouse. How does this even happen!? So we had to wait another week to get our stuff. Once that stuff came, several items were still missing, including my computer. They have no idea where it's at. Please, do not use this company. They're unprofessional. They contract out to the worst companies. They'll arrive late. Your stuff will go missing, or if it comes, it will be damaged. They cannot do the basic job of a moving company. Go with anyone else! ***In response to NVL's response - Yes, we signed the moving contract with NVL. NVL then contracted the work out to United. Nice deflection...my husband is a 100% disabled veteran and had to rent a storage unit for most of the items to dry going back and forth was difficult for him. Also, because you took so long to deliver our things, it was into the holidays not to mention we had 3 rounds of Covid. Our trying to navigate the mess your company created for us is inexcusable. I have been in FULL communication with you. How do you LOSE 7 boxes? Unacceptable. There is no price to put on baby books. For you to minimize my trauma with your utter lies is yet another reason for people not to use your company! Shame on you but I guess you can sleep at night .... Good for you read more

Used them to move the heaviest 1/3 of our furniture across the country from Denver Metro to North Georgia. The CO coordinator who did the quote was fast, friendly and helpful, the national coordinator was helpful and keep me informed of when the truck would come to CO and kept me informed as info became available to him. The crew that picked-up our furniture was friendly, fast and did a great job, the driver who went from CO to GA was great and made sure we got everything and it was in good shape. The GA moving crew were friendly, hardworking and got everything into our home quickly and carefully. Hope we don't have to move again anytime soon, but would use National again. read more

We've had good movers and poor movers, and the group we had from National Van Lines was absolutely in the poor camp. They aren't the worst movers ever (North American Van Lines, you still own that title in my book), but they are in the running for second place. The promises and lies: "You'll be the only load on our truck." "You're big, so you'll be the first and only load." "Only load." Multiple times said by the driver. A lie each and every time. We were not the only load, the driver went and picked up another. And delivered it before ours (for the second lie). "Guarantee delivery on Monday." "Promise, we are headed to Iowa first." "You'll be the first stop, guarantee." "We'll be unloading you Monday, I promise". Nope. Went to Michigan first, and then finally delivered here on Wednesday. Can't be on time. More broken promises... "Be there at 8 am to unload." The truck was only 10 minutes late, but the unloading crew was more than an hour late. Once they arrive, they still spend another half hour in their van, making phone calls, etc., before they open the door of the truck and unload the first item. 8 am unload time, first piece off the truck, 9:30 am. "If we take it apart, we put it back together." Nope. Another lie. They took our bicycles apart (after we asked them not to), and then unloaded them in pieces, and that was that. No assembly. Guaranteed price? Not so much. The driver of this truck decided he could not get down our driveway, and so... extra charge (and delay), to rent a U-Haul truck to take things from our house and drive it down an asphalt driveway to the street, about 250', and load into the big truck. Oddly enough, just 18 months before, another driver from another company was perfectly able to get his exact same size tractor/trailer down our driveway to unload. The difference, apparently, is that if they cannot get to your house to LOAD, you pay for the extra. If they can't get to your house to unload, THEY pay the extra. So, there's no incentive for them to try to get close to load, and plenty of incentive to do whatever it takes to get close enough to unload. The packers were Honestly, just horrible. It was a constant fight to try to get them to listen to us, to do anything right. I know that we aren't "professional" packers, but I myself have moved almost 20 times in my life, and I learned a thing or ten about the process to know what works, what doesn't. Room marked "DO NOT PACK. ALL ITEMS STAY." We put our suitcases and clothes for the trip in this room, and items for the first few days at the new house. Packers went into the room, took things OUT OF OUR SUITCASES, and packed them. We marked the towels in the bathroom with "DO NOT PACK", and they packed them... leaving us no towels for showers after loading day. Specifically asked the driver to speak with the loading crew, to NOT turn items upside down. Pointed out that somethings we had packed should NOT be turned upside down. Pointed out that I had a lot of storage cubes with drawers, the drawers full of tiny parts, beads, pieces, craft items, etc., and that if they moved them right side up, all would be fine. Multiple times, I see the loaders grab a cube, lay it on the back, wrap a blanket around it, turn it upside down, roll it, etc.. Six months later in Iowa, I am still sorting things out, and putting screws, bolts, nuts, parts and pieces back into the proper bins again. We have a hand made dollhouse, we specifically asked them to be careful with it, to keep it upright, to NOT turn it upside down, and when I see it in the truck... it's upside down. Wooden sewing box, full of needles and pins and thread and ribbons, with obvious top (handles and drawers) and bottom (legs/feet) and they lay it on the side, blanket wrap it by rolling it upside down multiple times. read more

Terrible!! Way too expensive Then the packing was terrible!!! My glass just shoved in a box without any padding shoved in with pots and heavy pans. Then the guy they hired to unload our boxes tore down our electrical pole with his truck which left us no water or electricity and had to spend 3 days in a hotel. Now yhey won't take responsibility and pay Duke Electricity Company or pay us for the money we had to pay out to get everything fixed. I do not recommend this Company especially if they cannot admit to being at fault and make good for their customers who just paid an enormous amount of money to get moved. I don't like giving bad reviews but it's been since September and still they say they will get back to us and never do!!! This is not over!!! read more

I have been meaning to do this since I got my things sent to me in pieces about a month and ago. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I had to move for work from MN to AZ and the rep i talked to seemed cool, he told me I'd receive a free TV box and he told me all my things would be moved. then i made the mistake of paying the $1000 deposit. After that a different company came In and charged me more than i was told I would pay at pick up then what was quoted, they told me a tv box would not be free, and to top it off they told me if I wanted all my items it would be an additional $1200. I tried to get a different moving company at that moment but the $1000 deposit is non refundabl, if I could go back in time I'd eat the $1000 and book else where. In the end, I ended up in Arizona for a month with none of my things. when my things did come, my boxes were opened and my belongings damaged. if I could give 0 stars I would. do yourself a favor, don't book with these crooks. i can promise I never will and I hope moving companies who use these bad practices go bankrupt. moral of the story: Beware if the practices done here, they underquote for your deposit and then over charge once they have you. And don't buy the bs reviews they email over to you. read more

National Van Lines stands out way above the rest in a very suspect industry. Brandon Ayala was my coordinator throughout the process, and I must say he was honest and available throughout the process. From the first call they got me over to Brandon and he walked me through a virtual tour and gave me a quote within 24hrs. Movers showed up when they were scheduled and did a good job packing. When there was a question about paperwork after the loading process, Brandon made himself available on the spot and we figured it out. On delivery the same thing.
