Chips and queso: it wasn't the worst Lamp puffs: it was alright Korma: ordered it as they call it Desi Hot. It was BLAND. I asked for hot sauce, with his eyes wide, he gave it to me and warned me to be careful for it is super hot. Nah, it was sweet and mild. But other than it not being spicy, it lacked flavor. Imagine asking for coffee ice cream and getting butter pecan instead. I expected a flavor explosion of Korma as I do from my fav spots and got a bland creamy thing instead. My friend enjoyed her masala though so maybe just don't order the korma? I did like the decor and vibe of the place. Good use of color and lights. The staff was cool too. read more

Nasha is on my list of top 5 restaurants in Austin. My "list" is of what I consider reliable, truly worthy places that will (or should) stand the test of time. Places I actually frequent and crave on regular (and irregular) occasions. Nasha serves the best, freshest naan I've ever had (jalapeño naan and garlic naan are my favorites). Verde masala (a cilantro and jalapeño sauce with ginger, garlic and onions) is my standard entree I crave on a regular basis. The locale and atmosphere is unmanufactured, unpretentious greatness. Dedicated waitstaff and open late (until midnight) on weekdays so I can look forward to great food and drink when working late on weeknights. Margaritas are true and bonafide and a bargain in today's Austin. No sweet and sour mix here, folks. Tequila and fresh lime juice. Enjoy. read more

AVOID Going This is worst place for eating I have ever been to.. Service is awful its a self service and they add 18% gratitude beware of that on self service. They don't have sense of taking and behavior and people are not at all good. We ordered some items and they never gave it on table but they remember to charge and add to bill but they don't refund if we ask that is worst to argue on! My fiancé and I were intrigued by the idea of a Tex-Mex fusion restaurant and knew we had to try this concept out! We had a couple of options but picked this one based on Yelp reviews! I got the curried margarita which was incredibly refreshing (perfect for the hot day) and my fiancé got a Taj Mahal beer (his favorite). We also started with a paneer quesadilla which was an excellent choice. My fiancé was impressed with the desi hot option but we opted to get it hot so my taste buds wouldn't explode into flames. It was creamy and delicious with the mint chutney. For entrees, I got the paneer enchilada with tikka masala sauce which were incredible! My fiancé got chicken tacos (sorry I can't remember his specifics) but they were the perfect balance of Tex-mex and Indian tastes. I was searching for a bite to eat near my hotel in Austin and this place turned out to be terrific. The portions are a really good size. The outside seating area is very cute. Ordered delivery so my experience is a bit different. I found the food extremely overpriced for what we got. Small lentil soup which tasted like water with a splash of lentils cost $10. Tikka Masala was way too strong on the cardamom. The naan tasted like pita laying out in my counter for a couple days. Will not order from here again. I ordered the veggie chana masala with garlic naan for delivery. It was literally disgusting. I'm so disappointed I paid for this, but I was starving by three time it got to be so I ate half of it. I was looking at reviews before I ordered& I was on the fence but some people said it was good so I thought I'd give it a try. The regret is real. So for anyone in the future who is on the fence let me warn you- don't do it. I'm shocked this restaurant has 4 stars sending out food like this. The flavor was completely lackluster. The "veggies" (peas & carrots) look like cheap frozen or canned veggies from the store. (yuck). The naan is chewy, dry, & rubbery (also lacking flavor). Would not recommend. I'm really confused about this. I only do reviews when I have something that's super amazing or so bad that I just don't want anyone else to have to go through it. The latter is definitely the case. As for the restaurant/owner- please don't contact me asking to give it a try again. I cannot imagine spending my money on this poor quality of food ever again. I am a fan of Nasha and make sure I come back for the delicious food whenever I am in Austin. This time I was visiting the place after 2 years with my friends and found some new food items introduced in their menu. Wanting to try their new dishes I ordered the Enchiladas and Chilli Rolleno. We ordered the veggie samosas which they make in-house and taste really fresh, served with mint and tamarind chutney. I totally loved the flavors in the Chilli Rolleno which had the mouth watering flavors of tomatillos, queso cheese and was so soft that it melted in my mouth. My friends tried the new Enchilada on their menu and they loved it. We also ordered one thali which is like a food platter with several vegetables and curries and rice, naan bread of your choice and other appetizers. Nasha is one of my favorite restaurant and will always be for the fresh new recipes and the delicious food they serve along with the chilled ambience of the place. I would recommend everyone visiting Austin to give this place a try and enjoy the appetizing Indo-Mexican food in Texas! read more

Ordered Nasha on DoorDash. They forgot to include the samosas and the wings look nothing like the photo. They were tossed loose in a brown paper bag and tasted like plain wings with barely any seasoning. Really disappointed in this place, waste of money and I won't be eating here again. read more

I tried their millionaire curry and Tikka masala. Definitely goes heavy with the spiciness, which I love. The millionaire curry is a tomato based curry, a bit of a lighter dish. My partner is notoriously a trash can and will eat everything especially if he paid for it. The chicken korma was inedible and tasted rather horrible that after two bites they threw it away. This being the first time that I have seen them ever throw away a meal uneaten. We were there on a Sunday evening (07/15/18) and it wasn't too packed. The atmosphere is pretty great and the staff was mostly friendly. I say mostly because although our server was friendly it seemed as though he was annoyed. Especially after trying to get his attention after waiting over 5 minutes for him to come back for our order after we had requested a couple of minutes to look over their menu. We also had told him "thank you" every time he would come by with something and he never acknowledged it (rude). If I were to rate this solely by the food it would receive five stars, hands down. We ordered their Roasted Chips and Salsa and they were great. Their red salsa was spicy enough and their creamy cilantro sauce helped add a nice cool balance. I ordered their Verde Masala Curry dish and it was honestly one of the best curries I've had. I will say that if you can't handle spice I'd recommend ordering their mild version as this was pretty spicy considering it was just their medium spice. My husband ordered the Vindaloo Curry dish. It was also very good and had the perfect amount of spiciness with just their mild choice. Overall their food and atmosphere were great and they have plenty of seating inside and outside. They have a nice patio with plenty of tables with fans/misters, and they offer mosquito sprays. We will definitely be going back when we visit Austin again. read more

Get the cardamon margarita! It's so fresh! The cardamon is subtle but noticeable. This is one of my favorite margaritas in the city! Naan was crispy on the edges and perfectly soft in the middle. The lamb samosas are packed with flavor and perfectly fried. My girlfriend and I shared the chicken biriyani and beef millionaire curry and left with plenty leftovers. read more

Ordered tulsi margarita and taj mahal beer - margarita was more ice than alcohol, when I asked for a little more alcohol I was told the margarita is made using a margarita mix. So something to keep in mind ! The beer was nice light lager, nothing too strong- good for dinner time. The food: for appetizer we ordered masala wings- it was a tad bit too salty for all of us, though the ranch helped. For main course I got the Kheema masala- which was really delicious, others got the saag enchiladas ( pretty good), chicken tikka enchiladas- yummy and the chicken tandoori tacos - very okay. I've had some problems in the past with Nasha being slow in preparing my take-out food. It seems like the owner doesn't really like having his customers use DoorDash, so I'm not sure why he's even offering that option. Once I found out Nasha has their own online ordering, my food's been ready much quicker and I'm a lot happier. Their tikka masala is one of the best I've had, and I'm not even a huge fan of Indian food. OMFG, who even DOES this?? My SO and I were looking for cool local places to eat dinner and found this place on Yelp. Tex-Mex Indian food? Yes, please. We love both types of food so we were really curious (and really drunk after walking over from The Brixton) and decided to check it out. The vibe of this place is nice, lots of young people and families and the staff is really cool and quirky (which I guess is normal of Austin). The menu has an extensive list of classic Indian faves along with their interpretation of Tex-Mex Indian. We fell in love with the Tikka con Queso and Veg Stuffed Samosas. They're pretty small appetizers but so worth it. Also, make sure to check out the bathrooms, they have very unique art for sale in them. read more

Wow I've been in Austin for four years and never knew this place existed. We ordered the veg samosas and I ordered the vindaloo curry. The food was very good. They also have mango and cardamom lassi. The curry I ordered starts at a medium spice level which was pretty spicy to me, but still enjoyed it. Glad I gave this place a try. read more

I am a foodie and love to explore local favorites. we traveled to this place based on the online reviews of 4+ stars. We took the lunch thali as it had an assortment of dishes to try. As someone familiar with Indian food was disappointed. 1. Adding chicken/shrimp pieces to a precooked vegetarian Ghati curry is not authentic. The meat does not have any flavor. It seems to be just a scheme to extract more money without any flavor like the "add your protein" to a burrito. This is not how Indian meat curries are made. Meat needs to be cooked with spices and not something to just buy and pre-cooked meat pieces (which is what suspected) and add to a curry and charge more. 2. The dessert was just spoonful and dry. 3. Salad was leaves from a salad bag without even the dressing. The leaves were dried out out and did not match the thali. Looks like most of the reviews are from guests not familiar with the cuisine.
