Nash & Smash 2/3/26 Tuesday 12:50pm Finally got a chance to check out Nash & Smash. I ordered The Classic Bull / double. Combo. $16.00 Expensive but then again every thing is. The first thing I noticed is the plastic cups that came with the combo. Very, very flimsy you can not hold it without spilling something.. Looking at the menu, I also see they sell chicken. Waffle fries - they taste like the old school chick fil a waffle fries with seasoning. They were good and cooked fresh. The Classic Bull - huge! The patties didn't taste like it had seasoning on them and the bun would probably be better if it were tasted. however it's still good. I opted for their special sauce on the side because I wasn't sure how that taste. And got mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard on my burger.. after tasting the sauce I could see where it would be good on the burger. The dining room is not real big and there were a few customers in there. Family friendly.. I was surprised that they weren't more busy, especially during lunchtime and the food is not bad. The location is in a decent area with other small restaurants around. Good customer service. Overall I'd give it a 8/10. I'll return here for another burger. Definitely need to try the chicken.. read more

Ordered a milkshake for me and my two daughters After I paid, he told me it would be 15 minutes I did not like because I was in a hurry, but I let it slide so we sat there and waited for 20 minutes. We got our "shakes". I'll leave it at this. I walked back with mine and put it on the counter and told them "Don't do this again, make me wait then give us this cr*p" (forgive my language) I was peeved that after 20 minutes, we waited and we got the wateriest, lukewarm shakes that I've ever had in my entire life. He could have either said the machine was broken or that he was clueless but to call that dirty water a shake was insulting to my intelligence and dang near fraudulent. read more

4/23/26 - DISGUSTED & ANNOYED are the only 2 words that are coming to mind for this experience. We've been to their other location in Norfolk, so we THOUGHT we knew what to expect. Boy, were we wrong! We ordered a single smash burger with bacon and onion straws ONLY! There was to be nothing else on it. We ordered a 4-pc chicken combo with waffle fries and cornbread. We also ordered a Honey Butter Buzz chicken sandwich. After waiting 30 minutes, we expected hot food. The fries were cold. The burger had cheese on it that they attempted to scrape off and serve to me! I DO NOT EAT CHEESE!!! The chicken sandwich was devoured by my son. The fried chicken was hot but bland. The cornbread was the best part of my meal - soft and sweet just like I like it. I won't be back personally, but my son may come back. I do not appreciate being given a burger with cheese. If they messed it up, don't try to be slick and scrape it off. Make your customer a brand new one. To prevent me from complaining, my family member just took it to go to eat later himself. Spending over $50, our food should be as ordered. They needed to clean their lobby & the trash attracted gnats and other flying bugs all around the restaurant. Outside of not enjoying my meal, I had to spend my time slapping away bugs. Austin was friendly & there was plenty of parking available. I just wish I had a better experience. read more

The quality of food was good, but the sweetness of the bun took away from some of the inherent flavor that was expected for the chicken and beef. We ordered the "hot"Nash and Smash burger and the spice had a nice kick. The sauces (honey sriracha and special sauce) were great with the fries. The fries were crispy and flavorful, so I'd definitely recommend trying the fries. Food was quick, friendly staff, and the restaurant was clean. So I finally stopped in to visit Nash & Smash. The shop is very well lit inside and they have a nice seating area. Not a large seating area but it is adequate. The shop was very clean upon arrival. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick with the food being freshly made. The flavor of the food was very good. I didn't take a pic of the food because I was starving and just dove straight in. I like the sauce on the burger which has a little kick. I had the Nash &Smash Burger. I have no complaints. The food was hot, fresh and tasted great! I can't wait to go back and try something else out on the menu! Give it a shot, it's good and the prices are very reasonable! read more

I did not go in with high hopes, but ended up being blown away. I ordered their Oklahoma Smashed burger and the fresh beef flavor was what hit me right away. Way better than even Shake Shack. I ordered the Waffle fries to accompany it and was also very quickly won over - crispy and freshly fried. These were not the waffle fries I was expecting. Can't wait to try their fried chicken. Please do give this chain some love! It deserves it! read more

This is near Short Pump and there was plenty of parking in the lot as it is in a strip mall. They have a pretty extensive menu with burgers, chicken, etc. the waffle fries seemed like they could have been in the deep fryer for a few more minutes but the burger was good and my guests had chicken fingers. You can either get a bottle of soda or get a fountain drink and they sell Pepsi products. Food came out hot and you can customize your burgers. read more

Nash and Smashed was just okay for me. The burgers were decent, but the fries were dry and the seasoning tasted a little off. Honestly, I think spots like Five Guys or Shake Shack do a better burger. The place itself is a hole in the wall, and it was packed with people--long line and all--but in the end it didn't feel worth the wait. On the plus side, the staff was really nice and helpful, which I appreciated. It was clean but basic setup. read more

Super great food! My boyfriend and I stopped in and had such a good experience. Everyone was super friendly, and the cashier even let him try one of the sauces before we ordered, which was a nice touch. Visited today and got a three-piece tenders and fries. Newly opened and definitely still going through some growing pains. Fountain soda wasn't working. Bathroom paper towel dispenser was jammed. When I mentioned it to the clerk I was told it's been jamming since they opened. The tenders basket came with the chicken on the bottom and the fries on top. Made sense in hindsight. When I rearranged them so that the chicken could cool, I later found the fries beneath soaked in grease. Chicken seem to be hand breaded and very large tenders, but too greasy for me. Not crispy. Fries were nothing to write home about. Restaurant had no salt available except for the single packets in prepackaged plastic silverware. As others have said, staff was very courteous and helpful. I've been twice - was eager to try a new place and on our first visit shortly after they opened, we tried the smash burgers and fries - didn't get their sauce on the burgers but got some on the slide to try, asked for mayo instead. Have to say that the burgers and the fries were a disappointment. First, there was so much mayo on the burgers that it was dripping out of the bun - It's like they put 1/4 cup on both the top and the bottom. Had to scrape it off. The burger itself was dominated by the bun - like the meat had no flavor, you're just tasting bread. The fries are waffle fries which aren't my favorite but they were also overcooked and another tasteless experience. The sauces were bland and the ketchup was some cheapo brand in the little tear packages. The thought here was that they use basement-brand supplies. We assumed maybe it was just new-place/opening issues. Second visit was a month later and I skip the burger, and try the chicken sandwich instead. The chicken itself was pretty good, but something about their bread just dominates the taste and I don't want to pay ten bucks for a bread sandwich. The fries were again overcooked and tasteless. I may go back and try the fried chicken, skipping any sandwiches altogether, but there's nothing about the place that made it a definite go-back experience. read more

Will not return to this fast-food restaurant again. The customer service and complete lack of caring that they have not served a customer in a timely manner is ridiculous. I had waited 50 minutes for my order which was originally going to take 20 minutes due to the size. They served over 10 customers chicken after me and did not acknowledge it was taking time or prioritize my order when these people came and ordered after me. I finally left without my food after they served another family within minutes of them ordering. They didn't forget me, I was right in front of them. They just don't care about their customers. No food is worth being treated poorly. read more

The place was very clean and the decor was nice. Service was ok although not very friendly. Not nasty or anything, just kind of like "yeah, what do you want?" approach to order taking. The food, which obviously should have been the highlight, was far from it. $9.99 for a double wasn't bad in my opinion, IF it had been a good burger, but it wasn't. Way overcooked and ridiculously salty. Plus I asked if they would add onions, which they said they would but when I got home discovered they did not. Then there is the upcharge for making it a meal. $5 extra for a handful of waffle fries, which were not cooked all the way, and a small drink. I think I'll pay the extra few bucks to go back to Five Guys. At least their burgers are juicy, I always get the toppings I ask for, and the fries are 1000 times better. read more
