Stopped in for a quick bite on the way to my Part time since I didn't want some fried fast food. Ordering online was so easy and when I walked in I was met by a sweet friendly face waiting to see if I had a mobile order. I did a croissant with kicking katelyn and chose a extra scoop instead of a side. My scoop was jalapeño holly and talk about perfection! I loved every bite. It was so fresh; seasoned and the pickle was so crunchy. They give you plenty of crackers also. We like the food at Chicken Salad Chick and we eat there at least once or twice per month. However, the management does not match the food. I convinced my company to order our weekly lunch from Chicken Salad Chick. It was for 50 Box Lunches. I dropped of the spreadsheet with all the names and sandwich selections on Monday around 2pm for a lunch delivery on Wednesday at 11:30 am. Our order was delivered by the owner himself (Tim Collins). He set all the boxes up and we noticed that one of the boxes had the chicken salad missing. He called the store and they brought the missing item. Everything looked great and he gave me his card and said to contact him if we needed anything. As people were starting to eat their lunches, we noticed right away that none of the bread was toasted. That was clearly marked on the spreadsheet. Also, 7 people had the wrong chicken salad, side or bread in their box. They showed me that the correct items were marked on the outside of the box, but when they opened the box, the items inside were not what they ordered. I emailed the owner around 2pm that same day to let him know what happened and attached the list showing him the names of the 7 people and what was wrong with their Lunchboxes. I have not received a reply as of yet. That was 13 days ago and I have not received a call or reply to my email. I guess once they delivered the food they were done and did not care if anything was wrong or not. It's just sad, because I fought very hard to convince my company to order from Chicken Salad Chick. Needless to say, that was the first and last time we will use them for our weekly lunch. I'm very disappointed that my email was ignored. He could have at least acknowledged that he received it. I stopped in today to grab a late lunch after a doctor appointment. I decided to order the Chick combo, with a Classic Carol on toasted wheatberry bread with lettuce and tomato, and a side of broccoli salad. The food came out pretty quickly and I was happy to see that meal came with a pickle spear and a sugar cookie. The flavor and consistency of the chicken salad was perfect, and the lettuce and tomato were great additions. My only disappointment was the bread, which had the consistency of being grilled on a flattop (it wasn't crispy as you'd expect toasted bread to be). The broccoli salad was tasty, but could have used a bit more dressing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We have been eating here regularly for the past few years , but earlier this week was a complete fiasco. I'm not sure who was supposed to be managing the place this particular day, but it was not anyone I recognized. They told us they were not accepting any orders, that we would have to wait. The line was literally to the door and they weren't accepting orders. 23 minutes later, no exaggeration, they began taking our order, thankfully we were at the head of the line, and of course we had already watched as some people walked out. While we waited for our to-go order, I gentlemen walked up and said he had placed a mobile order and needed to pick it up, he was told he needed to get in the line, which was backed up to the door again. Meanwhile, I stood waiting. I got so aggravated by what they told him, I got the older lady, that hands out most of the orders and cleans tables, told her what had happened and she went to the back of the line, got that gentleman and helped him out. I could not think of other popular chain stores, as they are monotonous, all taste one taste, that is salt. I ended up here because so many people on tik tok were talking about this grape salad... so i had to have it! And i was not disappointed by any means with it. It was sweet and the grapes were fresh! 10/10! I would eat that again. It did come with brown sugar and nuts to go on top but i was sharing with my toddler and did not put it on there. Very cute place located in the Westpark Shopping Center. Plenty of seating if you want to eat in. I asked for my meal to go and everything was packaged nicely. My only complaint on my to go order was I had two different sandwiches (one for a coworker) and they were not labeled which was which. I had the Basil Lemon chicken salad on toasted wheat berry bread and it had a nice clean summery taste. I had the Mac & cheese side which was thick & cheesy & tasted a lot like traditional baked Mac & cheese. They also will give you samples of the flavors. I couldn't choose between this one and the Mediterranean Chicken Salad special flavor for summer. That sample was also good, very olive & feta flavored so a little salty. The staff both behind the counter and someone walking around the seated areas offered me samples of this limited Mediterranean flavor. Large drinks are nice & large for a fair price. The day I went, they also had a Watermelon Sweet Tea. I didn't try it but it did sound good. Unsweet tea was fresh and tasted as it should. So often unsweet tea can taste stale but not here. The cookie was soft, sweet and fresh. It's getting more difficult to find a good, affordable chicken salad sandwich around Richmond so I'm sure I will be back here again soon. read more

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. It was fairly busy but not to bad. It is located in a strip mall so plenty of parking. My husband and I have been to this establishment several times and enjoy the warm friendly service, reasonable prices and wonderful food. My Steve and I didn't know there were so many ways to prepare chicken salad. There are. And the cute thing is all the menu items have names. The fruit salad chicken salads are called fruity Fran and Fancy Nancy. The traditional scoop with just celery and seasoning is called Traditional Carol. For people who aren't chicken salad fans like my Steve there are options like egg salad and a turkey club. My favorite is the Lemon Lauren chicken salad. And the sides are not be believed. My husband loves the Mac and cheese while I enjoy the grape salad green salad and pasta salad. We like the cheerful mint green walls and old time black and white photos. It's the environment that could use a little help. The gentleman in the prep area in clear view with the long hair and full beard with no hairnets was a put-off. Too many chances for one or more of those hairs to leap off his person and into an order (strike 3). A shame that with ALL of the casual and fast-food dining options withing a stones throw one would want to stand out and draw paying customers in. Wanting to support businesses during the "shut down", we drove by this little restaurant in Westpark Shopping Center. I was lured in by the bright green logo with a cute lady on it! And also, this chick loves chicken salad! So I called to order curbside. The person answering the phone was abrupt and not very helpful. I told her that I'd never been there before but I'd like a chicken salad sandwich to try! She was like "well, we have 13 flavors, so I can't read them all". I said, Ok, just the basic, plain one. I ordered it on a croissant and my hubby chose a turkey club, then sides and teas. I said I wanted curbside, and she goes, "or you can just come in and get it." Okkkaaayy.... so I did. I kind of wanted to avoid being around people, thus the curb service, but the lady seemed so exasperated I just went in. I got my own drinks and waited while they finished my order. The clerk was so impatient when I went to sign for my card, she barked the instructions to me... I had to tell her to "be patient, this is my first time here..." it was awkward. The folks here really need to work on their customer etiquette. Inside, though, the place was decorated cheerfully and seemed fun! And they have a "grab and to go" case with many different salads and spreads to chose from. In addition to our sandwiches, I picked up a small container of the egg salad and the pimento cheese spread. We went home to eat, and frankly we were underwhelmed by the portions. Skimpy tomato, and when I took my first bite, it was all bread. The chicken salad wasn't spread all the way to the ends of the croissant. I had to take my knife and spread it around. It was a pretty thin sandwich and was just ok. The mac n' cheese was decent. My hubby thought his sandwich was "nothing to write home about". The best part of the meal was the mini butter cookie! Melted in my mouth! The story of this business is inspiring. I'd love to see them succeed. I, too, am on a quest for the perfect chicken salad. But, sadly, I'm going to have to keep looking. After hearing all the rave, and then from a friend from ATL who just moved to VA and was looking for this chain as it's a fave in GA, I knew I had to try it. I went on a late Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy aside from the old lady gang (and I mean that in a kind way) who obviously dine there every Saturday. How do I know? Well the employee named Puddin was the hostess with the mostess and was chatting these ladies up and entertaining them like a regular. Puddin reminds me of the person you see on Undercover Boss who is a hard worker and excels at customer service and should be rewarded like so. I'd come back just to chat with her y'all. She was down to earth and wanted to make sure everyone dining in that place was happy and actually enjoyed the food. So, the manager/owner was also there and walking around engaging diners. Y'all know I'm a fan of great customer service, so I was sold on that before even eating. Walking in, my first thought was wow I wasn't expecting table cloths (the thick vinyl type). You order at the counter and there is a nice assortment of chicken salad options to choose from. I like to keep it basic when trying a new place, as to be able to compare it to others (I'm a huge fan of chicken salad btw, and prefer it not with all the weird stuff in it lol). I opted for chips as a side, which at first I didn't see, but was glad because I didn't want a cold side with my meal. The meals come with a cookie which was a nice surprise, but since it's a prepackaged frosted cookie it was too sweet for my liking. No biggie because the sandwiches are huge and I was nice and full without having the cookie! Overall, I'm glad to have this new spot in the West end and think they are off to a great start with the food and service both. I'll admit though that I felt a bit confused as to whether or not I was supposed to tip, because you order, they bring everything out, you get your own drink and refills, but they come check on you. I ordered take-out from this location and will definitely visit again! My husband had the jalepeno holly chicken salad which he enjoyed quite a lot. It had a great flavor and mild spice. His sandwich was on a croissant which was a bit more like a bun than a light flaky croissant so he'd do a scoop next time instead. I had the Fancy Nancy, which had apples, grapes, and pecans. Everything tasted very fresh! The portions are a nice size especially for the price. The restaurant is cute and clean and would be comfortable to dine inside. They will also give you samples of the chicken salad if you're not sure what to get! My last tip will be to just order at the restaurant and avoid the app - it's not user friendly and it seriously would have been faster for me to order in person and wait. read more

It's decorated kinda oddly, like a 1990s sit down restaurant. It seemed like there were a lot of business meetings taking place. The service was awesome despite how packed they were. So I go up and order a chicken salad sandwich and silly me, I didn't realize they had like six flavors. They had spicy, they had fruity, and they had savory. The cashier recommended the bacon ranch and cheese chicken salad meal and so I went with that on a croissant. It was 11 dollars but it's a large portion. You get a deliciousness pickle and a tiny cookie that rivals Crumbl. It's so soft. There's something about this place that's addicting even if I'm not really a chicken salad person.
