The process was simple and straightforward, and the app estimated my order would be ready in 5 to 10 minutes, which lined up almost perfectly with my drive there. It was ready right when I walked in. The staff was friendly, as they always seem to be. I ordered a cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, tomato, mustard, ketchup, pickles, and onions. After working on cleaning out the house today, we went here for lunch at about 2pm. Both our burgers were fresh and delicious, and the fries (as always, overflowing from the cup ) were hot and salty. I got a salted caramel milkshake, which meant of course mom had to get a milkshake too (chocolate). There were only two other customers even when we let, though given the timing and rainy weather, that made sense. My love of burgers knows almost no bounds. My recent diagnosis of Celiac, however, does. To still have a place to go and get burgers and fries from in a safe environment is nothing short of a burger godsend. --Food: The last few times I've went, I've ordered a bacon cheeseburger with onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard on a lettuce wrap. With a little fries / cajun fries. The burgers are always super delicious and the lettuce wrap does make a suitable burger holder and honestly isn't that much more messy than a normal bun. The burgers are juicy and flavorful and the toppings always delicious. I think I like the regular fries more than the cajun, actually, but both of them are great! Oh, if you're wondering what size fries to get, get the smallest. They give you a small cup filled, but the fries that are located outside of said cup that are in the bag easily equal or surpass that amount, so pay no heed to the actual size of the cup. *Just about everything at Five Guys is gluten free, minus the bun and some of the milkshake options. Their fryer is dedicated to fries and they don't have other breaded items there, so they're also safe to eat.* --Cost: If you're pressed for cash, you probably shouldn't come to Five Guys if you want a quick burger. A bacon cheeseburger and little fries end up costing $12+. I'm not saying the quality does stand for itself, it does, but as a fast food place, it doesn't have fast food prices. --Atmosphere: The inside at this location is pretty large with a wide spread of tables and waiting areas. The tables are almost always clean when I go, which is impressive since it's almost always reasonably busy. --Service: Having gluten free menu items is one thing, but actually providing a reasonably safe environment for people with allergies / diseases is another. All times I've went, when I get a lettuce wrap, they ask if it's Allergy or Preference, and upon answering Allergy, they have the entire line change their gloves and wipe down the prep area. While I personally don't have extreme digestive symptoms like some Celiacs do, but my sister, who does, eats at Five Guys and doesn't get symptoms. --Overall: Celiac friendliness aside, Five Guys is still a great place to go if you like burgers and fries. I had went in the past and had burgers with buns and liked them just the same. Not optimal if you're trying to save some money, but definitely check it out if you haven't been and want to try a good place for burgers. read more

Pretty good for a quick burger when you dont feel like sitting in a restaurant but also dont want fast food. Everything is cooked to order. The food is fresh and tastes delicious. The little cheeseburger is more than enough to fill me up! They also give you a ton of fries even with the smallest size. They are a little on the soft side, so if you like something crispy, you probably wouldnt like these. I love that you can order online, making it super easy! The only issue I had was I ordered extra lettuce for my burger but they barely gave me any, I wouldnt have even considered it regular lettuce. read more

This was my first time at this location, but I hadn't visited Five Guys in years. So worth the wait and the cheat meal!!! I had a hamburger, but I should have ordered the little hamburger. The hamburger has 2 patties and the little hamburger only 1. Now that I'm thinking about it, 1 patty would have been plenty. But nooooo I went all in!! I hesitate to even comment on a chain restaurant. I mean, everything that can be said about Five Guys has likely already been said. Their burgers are terrific. The toppings are fresh and ample. The snacking peanuts are a nice touch. The fries are fresh and hot and generous. And I love being able to pour vinegar on them, just like at the beach. I have been in Five Guys several times, and this is probably the first time I was disappointed. If they had a HALF Star.... It would really be 3 1/2 and I will tell you why. I decided to go for something out of the Norm as they have on their menu Hotdogs as well. Since they Specialize in Burgers, this is a good test on how they cook and treat other foods. For myself, they should all be treated equally and come out Hot and great in taste. So, I ordered the Bacon Cheese Hotdog for $5. Since I could order extras without additional charge, I decided to go for lots of Onions and Fresh Cut Jalapeno Peppers with mustard. With my drink, my total cost came to almost $7.50. While waiting on my order to be called, I jumped into the fresh peanuts which is always a favorite of mine at Five Guys. When I saw my Hotdog, I was amazed in how small the dog and what I had order was very small. Upon opening the tin foil, I did not have the mustard as requested, very little to no onions and two small slices of Jalapeno peppers on the dog itself. AND, I had made sure to tell the Cashier, to let them know I wanted extra... So, I am thinking... did she just one slice on the dog and the extra was the 2nd slice.... I was not a Happy Camper, as this meant, I had to go back to the counter and ask for more Peppers, and some mustard. I forgot to ask about the extra onions, however I was not in the mood to fight the crowd again for some onions. The bun had spit at the bottom and the dog was about the size of a regular hotdog. For the price I paid, I thought it would have been a Ball Park size. The Dairy Queen hotdogs on Patterson has the same size dog at a much lower cost. I was extremely disappointed in the dog for it's size and the bun was split at the bottom. What a mess it had become to keep everything together. So, I do not think I will order the dog again as it was not great for the value of your money. I like Five Guys, but I will stick to their burgers..... forget the hotdogs... ;-( read more

Up until fairly recently I was a huge 5 Guys fan. Lately, not so much. The prices (which were already high) have gone up, and the quality seems to have gone down. My last visit I decided to try LTO as a change from my normal grilled mushrooms and onions. It was depressing... A few wilted pieces of lettuce, onion chunks instead of slices, and, well you get the point. Stopped at this FG short pump location, the normal line wrapped around the wall was missing yay!.. We walked in and ordered right away... My usual little bacon cheeseburger with pickles & bbq sauce.. Although, i hate the descriptions of the burgers.. Just dont make sense to me. The little burger isnt little, just means one patty...So, i was looking at the menu, saw bottled water as a choice and asked for water. She put 2 cups on the counter, which didnt dawn on me at first that she didnt give me a bottle... So I fix the water out the soda machine. (am I the only one wondering where its coming from? With that little button -weird) we wait for our number to be called, probably only a 14 minute wait..not bad. I just love that the burgers are made to order, and the meat tastes so fresh and clean I would swear they are slaughtering cows out back and grinding up the meat in the back.. Ok that was a bit cruel and harsh.. My bad. We also ordered fries, but my advice to anyone getting them is to just order one regular size for two people, they fill this brown bag up with fries, and it is way too many for one person. The burgers and fries are delicious! Order the little burgers and get fries. They are plenty big to fill anyone up, and the serving of fries is humongous. The names "Little Hamburger" and "Little Cheeseburger" may make you think that they are for kids. This is the exact opposite. I eat this burger, share an order of fries with the family, and I am full. One downside is that it can get pretty pricey. It is a good deal if you order a lot of the free toppings on your burger, but it can also be a rip off. For example, my brother orders the 'Little Bacon Cheeseburger" with no toppings besides the bacon and the cheese. This is one of their most expensive items, and he is always still hungry after he eats his burger. (We usually try to fill him up with fries!) When you order the toppings, they PILE the on. Some places you order toppings, and you get a measly two pickles or gross slice of lettuce or tomato. That is not the case here. They give you a lot of toppings, which is a HUGE plus. Their other big selling point for me is their fries. Their fries are some of the best fries in Richmond, which we all know is saying A LOT. They are AMAZING. You can order the fries with cajun seasoning or with just plain salt. Either way, they are delicious!!! They also have free peanuts while you are waiting. These peanuts are disgusting. Do not get the peanuts. They are either drenched in salt, to the point that you can feel the salt burning the cracks in you lips, or they have zero salt and taste like maybe you are accidentally eating the cardboard container it came in. FIRST, I really enjoy five guys burgers. I needed to order a large number of burgers for a family gathering. So I did it online thinking this would be a good way to make sure my order was right and get it in. Unfortunately, it didn't work out like I had hoped. I ordered the food just fine. I paid for it just fine. When I arrived, there was a sign that said call this number if you want curbside pick up. No one answers that number!!! I went inside, no one greeted me! The app said go to the pick up area. No one greeted me there either.There was a crowd in the area. So it was difficult for me to let anyone know I was there for a pick up. I observed others, and decided I should wait a few moments. I realized after about 10 minutes that there was no rhyme or reason to what was happening in the pick up area. I went to the register and let the young lady know that I was there for a pick up order. She informed, what I assume is the line manager, that I was there. I do believe he was aware of the individuals in the pickup area- meaning I think he saw me! 10 minutes later I still didn't have my food. So I asked that same line manager how much longer it was going to be. He asked my name. I told him. He walked away from me. He then served up two more waiting customers (who had ordered after I was already in the store) And then finally put bags down and said this is yours. Unlike previous pick up orders, he did not package my order in a carry-out shopping bag. While I get that staffing is difficult, I still think customer service means something and my $70 could have been spent elsewhere. And I would have felt better!! read more

Didn't take long for this one to become a burger favorite. The french fries (homemade) are awesome, and the burgers? Wow. One of the best I've ever had in a fast food type restaurant. Once you place your online order, they send a text message with a link to a site where you tap buttons to let them know you're on the way and that you arrived. They bring the food to your car on a long plastic tray so the employee still maintains some distance. On top of all of that, the food hit the spot! These guys could arguably have the best burgers available in Henrico. Very fresh, juicey and tastey! They also give you a mountain of fries. So if you're a first-timer, order smaller than you normally would at a fast food joint unless you have helpers. I've also tried their hotdogs, it's nothing to write home about. I'm a big fan of getting a frank at the ball park- so I may be spoiled. Due to their location, they do get a pretty decent amount of traffic during popular eating times. The staff is organized enough to handle it, so it's typically a pain free experience getting your order promptly. I personally haven't experienced any miss-orders, which is a massive plus. Overall, the staff is very friendly and quick. I have yet to have a bad experience here. I gave it 4 stars because, although their food is insanely awesome, I have had a better burger in NoVa, for around the same price. (I don't think they are available in the Richmond area.) Critical? I really, really, REALLY wish managers would pay attention to details and train employees to pay attention to details. I'm not talking about food, but rather the customer experience. People come to a restaurant to be with their friends and family over a meal. Why they insist on playing music so loud is beyond me. If I want to listen to music so loud that I can't have a conversation with people at my table, I'll go to a music venue. Make hamburgers and hot dogs and turn the music down. You don't have to turn it off, but turn it DOWN. it appears that they set the volume from behind the counter where there are no speakers in the ceiling. They turn it up until they can hear it, which means it's blasting in the dining area. PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR CUSTOMER'S PERSPECTIVE. The food? It's decent. Hamburgers seem to get smaller and smaller. My hamburger looked about the size of a jr hamburger at Wendy's. Please, for the love of humanity, please pay attention to the customer experience. I have been pleased with the service at this restaurant in the past. However, recently my debit card was charged not only for the $22 that my order cost, but an additional charge of $25. When I realized that this had happened, I called the store and was given to a manager that said they would check on it. Then, when I called back again - no manager available, but they gave me the name of the owner, Bob Bowers. I spoke with Bob, and he indicated they would give me cash back and that the manager would call me back so I could pick it up. That was over a week ago and I still have not heard anything. So . . . anyone else getting charged for something they didn't receive? Wonder who's pocketing the money - what a scam! read more

Shockingly enough, this was my 1st visit to Five Guys...ever. Now that I've been there, I definitely know it won't be my last. I just had no clue the grilled veggie sandwich would be so good.
