Scotts crew of guys are very hardworking and respectful. They are non-stop workers that bust there butts for you. They are great at the start and are great all the way up to the finish. Scott was the General Contractor of the whole project from demolition, to fencing off my yard to hooking me up with a landscaper. It was all handled in a seamless order to get my family swimming as soon as possible. I highly recommend Naperville Pool and Spa to anyone looking to get a pool and bring their family together for some great memories. 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND! Naperville Pools knows nothing about pools. Recently moved into a new home with a pool and in just two months, Naperville Pools put in so many chemicals, we are currently in the process of draining our pool in order to fix it. 1. Scheduled to make two simple repairs on the pool - sealing hot tub and fixing leak on slide pump - neither repair worked. 2. Came for weekly chemical adjustments and wrote the same numbers on our paper every week and added so much chlorine and ph, it would make our pool cloudy for days. 3. Adding in the abundance of chemicals caused the CYA to become way too high. We tested the water at home and through Leslie pool and got off the charts numbers that were nowhere near what was being written on our report every week. The only way to remedy this problem is to drain your pool. 4. During one of the maintenance visits, the service worker changed the position of the pumps and water drained from the pool all afternoon. 5. Reported these problems to the manager. She showed no remorse, no knowledge of what was happening with our pool, and said their tests were accurate. Do not waste your money with a company with such poor service and such little knowledge of their product. read more

My pool builder suggested this company to open/close my new pool. My initial experience with them was positive, but that changed this year. After my pool opening I had several concerns which I brought to the owner's attention. She responded to my email/concerns, however she took no responsibility for the issues, and instead seemed to be defending her crews and trying to point the finger at me - the customer. (see other reviews that also site this as an issue). I received no, "I'm so sorry you had to deal with this, and we'll definitely make it right". She did agree to send a crew back to straighten the handrail and drain handles they put on crooked, and then a suggestion that since I didn't seem satisfied with the services I received, perhaps I should find another pool company! She went so far as to give me referrals!? - seemingly implying that they were done with me as a customer. Over the course of the next week I was barraged with emailed invoices for the services - from 2 different NP staff people, and today a hard copy invoice arrived in the mail. This gives me a little more insight into the top priority for this company - profit, not customer service or satisfaction. It seems that that Naperville Pool only wants your business if you accept the service they give you and keep your concerns/complaints to yourself. Customers frequently have concerns or complaints about a service they received from a company, but when the company takes ownership over what they've done incorrectly or omitted, it tells the customer that they actually care about their customers, and are committed to both customer satisfaction and customer RETENTION. After using this company to find a leak in my swimming pool I found this company to be unreliable. They pressure tested my lines and blew them out. I was there when they pressure tested my lines and they used too much pressure. They were at best supposed to use only 10 Psi of pressure. They used 30 to 40. They won't take the blame for it nor will they come back to fix it. I called them a bunch of assholes.Now they won't fix it.left me with a 6500 dollar bill that I'm gonna have to scramble for. WARNONG DONT USE THIS COMPANY.YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO. THEY WONT ADMIT WHEN THEY ARE WRONG AND THEY DONT ADMIT THEIR MISTAKES. Would give 0 stars if that was possible. I used Naperville Pool and Spa since they were the preferred vendor of my home warranty company and I had an issue with my heater. They resolved the initial heater issue with no problems and it was a pretty good experience. That was the last positive thing I'll say in this review. I then contracted with them to "close" my pool for the season last October. They appeared to do a good job and as a new pool owner, I didn't know any differently. When my normal pool company opened the pool this year, the pool was disgusting. I don't think they used any chemicals aside from the 3 gallons of chrlorine I provided. They must've winterized the pool properly since no internal pipes burst, however they failed to drain my chlorinator which froze over the winter and is now rendered useless. My normal pool service company told me the pool looked as if no chemicals were used in closing, but my receipt says that there were (likely only the ones I provided). So now my pool looks like a dirty lake and my chlorinator is broken. I contacted the company and spoke with a woman and told her exactly what happened. She said she would contact the owner and get back to me. I wasn't asking for much, just reimbursement for the 8 cases of chlorine I had to buy to get the pool chemistry back in line (~$100) and to replace my chlorinator which was broken because they didn't drain it in the fall (~$75). I never heard back from the owner. I tried calling again a month later and spoke with the same woman who said she would pass my message along to the owner. Still no response. Needless to say, the company doesn't seem to care about quality or customer service, so please avoid them if you have other options. All I was asking for was an admission of wrong doing and to be reimbursed for the materials needed due to their poor service. I hope this review helps. I know their aren't a ton of pool companies in the Western Suburbs, but please stay away from this one! A very dissatisfied former customer. Naperville friends Stay Away from Naperville pools . The owner Taylor cares less about her customers . I have had nothing with issues with my large investment . They want to bill me over 5000.00$ additional money for issues that they can't (Remedy). If your in the market for a pool , look elsewhere . My pool and hot tub continues to drain 8-10 inches and they call it "evaporation ". She gave me a quote of 2000 and I agreed to pay it last week with service that they would make it up. She than came back and quoted over 5000.00$ to repair . Bad business practice . I hope you read this And reconsider ! read more

Naperville Pool installed an in ground pool this spring and worked with us amid COVID shutdowns to get all the necessary permits and started construction with only a few weeks delay. Their attention to detail and quick response and resolution to any of our concerns has been superb. Both Don and Cindy are exemplary professionals that represent Naperville Pool in the best way each and every time. Clearly the longevity of many of their employees that were on site at our house is a testament to the leadership of Don and the company. They are the backbone of the organization. We've used Naperville Pool for the whole eight years we've had an in-ground pool. For many years, we sang their praises. We agree with the other reviewer that Mike was terrific - very professional, always prompt, super knowledgeable and very responsive. Alas, apparently Mike left earlier this year (2014). Naperville Pool now is everything that Mike never was: Angie on the phone is rude, dismissive, unprofessional. Whatever "crews" they're using are consistent no-shows. Angie promises things - the crew will be there, the work will be done, etc. - and those promises go unfulfilled. Work is un-done. They took our pool ladder eight weeks ago for "repairs", promised to return it this week - no such luck. Yesterday they promised my wife they'd be coming by as their first stop this morning, to repair our pool cover. That also proved to be untrue. Since Mike left this company has fallen apart: promised made and not kept, work not done at all, much less when it was promised. Unprofessional behavior towards long-time customers like us. Really, enough is enough. We're moving on, getting a new pool repair and maintenance company. I'd encourage local Fox Valley area pool owners to do the same. People have choices, and using Naperville Pools is probably a bad at at this point. UPDATE: so Naperville Pools has had our pool ladder for eight weeks to repair it. After me calling repeatedly today, after my wife calling repeatedly for the last month, after all that, they brought back the ladder today. It was NOT repaired. This firm took it eight weeks ago, kept it all that time, and today when I insisted that they bring it back, they brought it back completely un-repaired. Trust me folks: there are better options for pool maintenance out there. Naperville Pools used to be one of the best. Now they suck, and they don't care. They are rude and uncivil on the phone, and don't do the work for weeks on end. Make a different choice, folks. read more

For a long time we have used Naperville Pools to open, close, maintain our pool. When we first moved in they came out and spent a long time explaining and teaching me, a total novice, what everything is, how it worked, how to take care of it. Always satisfied with the work they've done. We have recently moved to a home that does not have a pool, but recommend them to anyone, including the buyers of our last home. read more

Had my pool painted by this company a few years ago. Today my pool looks worse than ever. The paint has faded and in some places it did not even adhere to the plaster walls. I called and emailed several times and was flatly denied any type of consideration. I do not recommend this business as they do not stand behind their product. read more

Let's be honest here. They were communicating with us over the last year because we were still having things go wrong with the pool (pieces popping out) and they had to come back out yet again to fix. They were not communicating with us just checking in to make sure we were happy. They did try to be nice at that point for the first time, but that was because they were asking us to change our review of them if they fixed everything. I've never been so upset with a company. We had filed a home warranty claim and were assigned to this company. Naperville pool and spa was supposed to contact me--did not hear from them for a week. I called into their office and asked to schedule an appointment and I immediately got attitude from the woman who answered the phone they were too busy and wouldn't be available for weeks. Scheduled my appointment anyway. Skip to the day of the appointment between 12-4 pm which we took off work for, and no one showed up. Called company at 4:05 pm and was told the tech was sick and they forgot to tell me. Was assured owner would contact me to fix the situation and never heard from company again. If you want real service, Contact Adam pool and spa-- he will actually return your phone call and show up for an appointment. read more

Our experience was painful , after everything was ready to go and all We were waiting was the liner, the liner came too big, they had to come back again and To remeasure our pool . We had to cancel our 4 of July pool party and our daughter birthday party because our pool wasn't going to be ready on time . Scott was not happy we picked a company " he doesn't do too much business with " for our liner ... His people came 5 times to measure our pool to get the liner measurements correct (our pool is already 2-3 weeks delayed ) finally the owner of the liner company came to do the final Measurement because scott team didn't know / don't know what are they doing . Finally they got the measurement correct and they were able to ship the liner for us. ( our pool was delayed 6 weeks ) which we lost many days of great weather . We run into another issue with the drain tile (Scott company smashed our drain tile ) and we had to hire another company to repair this ( pictures were provided to Scott ) after we paid around $2600 to a different company to repair this , Scott came back asking for the money for their work on the drain tile. Well we are not going to pay someone $2600 to smash our drain titles and pay another $2600 to have another company fix this. Scott called me yelling and acting irrational asking for his money, lied to my husband saying his company didn't smashed the drain title etc.. We have called Scott many times to addressed the issue and to show him again the proof he already had but he refuse to answer our call. That being said he also refuses to provide us with the service and the other items we needed for our pool. He also said that he will not warranty any of the mechanical equipment or pumps etc. Bottom line , this company and particular Scott Poulos are super unprofessional and I don't recommend anyone to go thru the hassle our family had to experience with his service. We paid this pool out of pocket over $50,000 and we def deserved better customer service than this. read more

Besides working with Taylor who is the service contact our experience with Naperville pools was awful. We replaced our pool filter, heater and pump at the start of the summer and have had nothing but ongoing problems. By the time they figure out why the heater and filter aren't working properly it will be the end of the summer. Highly recommend going to someone else to service your pool. read more

We were very much looking forward to our first summer with our own swimming pool! We had MANY concerns and questions as well as some issues during our first season. The staff was consistently courteous, helpful and patient with us, as we came to find some issues were due to 'user error' as first time pool owners :) Any of the problems we experienced were addressed, with staff presenting as professional, demonstrating an investment in customer service and in our satisfaction. We truly appreciated the timely assistance, especially during evening or weekend times, and the personal attention from the manager and owner who both showed genuine concern with our issues. read more
