In the interim I see that a number of people have left less than positive reviews. The common thread in many of these reviews seems to be office staff, not their work. I'm here to tell you that after five years I called them again to come to my house and give me an estimate to replace five more windows. Both ladies that helped me on the phone during the process were exemplary - extremely polite and helpful. The estimator that came to my house to measure was terrific, and the two installers that came to install the windows after they were manufactured were craftsman and true professionals! We couldn't be happier with the entire experience or the way we were treated by Javco from beginning to end. I will be the first one to say something negative in a review if I feel I was treated unfairly, rudely, or unprofessionally. There was absolutely none of that here, Javco remains the top of my list of window contractors!

The same people are still working there treating customers atrociously.   Here is my experience with Javco. I called to get a bid for a broken pane to a sliding glass door. At the time, I asked for two bids, one for just the broken pane replaced and the other if I wanted the complete door replaced. I then called back to schedule an inside slider replacement bid. So, I was upgrading the original job.   I was told at the time that if I combined all of the work at once that the labor price would be less because they would do it all in one day.   I went to the showroom to view materials and make my selections. This is where my whole experience with Javco went downhill.   The woman who was assisting me was Terry. Helpful, patient with my questions, and assisting me with my choices. Until we got to my quote. She informed me that a mistake had been made and they could not honor the quote that I was given. During my direct conversation with Terry, Angelina rudely jumps into the conversation, stating to me "well that is just not how we do business".   Angelina is condescending, abrasive, and dismissive and should not be working in any position dealing with customer relations.   I had an appointment scheduled at 8am on that I had waited weeks for, which no one showed up to. I dealt with a woman by phone whose name is Carolyn. She is just as discourteous in answer to my questions about my appointment.  Her curt reply was "well I'm sorry that we can not accommodate you at this time. we are scheduling appointments into April. Sorry we can't help with this." A total lack of professionalism all around.

We…read moretook our time signing the contract, but eventually we were very pleased with the installation, and the windows look and work great, I think they are Simonton. After a year or so, which included some very heavy rains, we noticed some leaking around the top of one of the windows. We assumed there had been a problem with the installation, so we reached out to AWS. Apparently Judi has retired, and Kyle, her grandson (?) now runs the company. They sent a crew out, climbed up the ladders, pulled off some shingles, and discovered it wasn't a problem with their installation. The original home builders had put the copper flashing on top of the plywood sheathing, not under it. So the leak wasn't their fault, it was a preexisting condition. They replaced the flashing, and installed some additional waterproofing material and caulking, to get us through until we can have a contractor come and fix the root of the problem. Needless to say we felt bad their crew had to come all the way out, and ended up doing work on our house which was outside their original scope. We offered to pay them, but Kyle refused, and insisted he was happy to help us out, even though he wasn't obligated to do it. All in all we had a great experience dealing with them, and next time we need new windows we won't hesitate to call Kyle.

This negative review is in no way a criticism of the quality of Brad's work, no doubt he does good work according to the positive reviews, just needs to communicate better, shouldn't be too much trouble to keep customers up to date on a job status.

However, the person who came out was late, did not apologize and was unfriendly. He told me both of my windows would need to be fully replaced, and the cost would be about $2000- $3000 each. I next called another company from Vallejo for a second estimate that person simply stated that the type of windows we have have a lifetime warranty from the manufacturer, which I did not know because they were here before we moved in. Thanks to that person's honesty, our warrant send someone out who made a simple adjustment on the windows (did not need replacement) and there was no charge for me. It's frustrating to think we could have spent $5000 to replace windows that actually needed a simple adjustment and also had a warranty attached. I would not return to this company for work.
