Although it was inconvenient, Vallejo Glass was so fantastic on my first visit that I returned to them when I needed another window screen replacement. My screen needed a small adjustment after it was made (which happened last time, too, and they were so easy to work with in modifying it). When my husband brought it back this time, though, the women working the customer service counter claimed to know nothing about it, and told him to order a new screen. When he pressed, they said to call Paul. I spoke to Paul, he was friendly & said yes he would adjust it. I dropped it off on Thursday, they said it'd be ready Monday. I called on Tuesday, it wasn't ready but would be in a few hours. I called later that morning and they said it was ready for pickup. I picked it up, quite happy in my ignorance. As it turns out, NOTHING was done to adjust the screen. It was the exact same size as before. Hubby looked up a youtube video on window screen replacements and fixed it (shortened the height by a 1/8" and width by 1/4", worked fine). Thanks to Vallejo Glass, we learned it's easier (AND cheaper) to do a window screen replacement yourself and won't buy one again from them. read more

I have used Vallejo Glass's services twice in a few years, most recently today. Initially, I discovered them when my 10 yr old showcased his golf swing, a beamer that no window would dare stand up to. Today I used their services for cutting a large bathroom mirror. The phone experience was great - I was provided courteous and friendly service. I was given the option to bring the mirror in for faster service, which I chose. They adjusted my work in today itself, and while I waited (5 minutes max) Patrick cut the mirror - I did not have to lift it out or place back in the car. The onsite experience was efficient, and friendly They went above and beyond in providing a prompt 5-star service. I would gladly use them again. read more

So very disappointed in the service I received at Vallejo Glass Company. I spoke with Monica who was very rude on the phone. It took them four days to return my call after the gentleman came out and realized that the measurements for my windows were incorrect. Therefore, he was unable to do the installation. My question to them was "can you waive the fee for installation due to the inconvenience" , I was told they could recut and install the window (which would take another week or two) or give me my money back. But because it was human error they would not waive the fee. (Doesn't make sense to me it was still company error). As you may imagine, this experience has been disappointing and stressful. I feel this company has forgotten about customer service. There was no empathy shown in this situation. I'm just offering this as a warning to prospective customers. My time is just as valuable as theirs. I will never do business with them again. read more

I went to the vallejo glass company to get a quote for a shower door on a Thursday and was told I would receive the quote that evening or the next day. I went back on the following Tuesday because I had not received the quote yet. After a few minutes of looking for my paperwork she found it, not yet processed and unapologetic. We relocated to Vallejo from Washington State and purchased a 1978 home that had new windows installed in 2002 by a company that is no longer in business. We noticed that a couple of the windows were failing and that the windows above the front door had a couple of small cracks. So I asked a few people and they recommended Vallejo Glass. Vallejo Glass came and checked the windows and recommended we replace the glass in the failed windows. They also shared that the thin glass windows above the door were not up to code, it needs to be safety glass. They came and did all of the work and we could not be more pleased. The price was great! We decided to get decorative safety glass in the windows above the front door. The glass matches the glass in the front doors and looks amazing. We noticed that it is much warmer now in that area. While they were here they also caulked a couple of other windows that needed it. We definitely would recommend Brian and his team. Excellent customer service, fair prices and a very nice group to work with. read more

Very professional and informative. My window broke and thought I had to replace the whole window. When Martin came to my house and took look at it, he said it was fixable. He explained that it was repaired before but not the right way. Been in my current house for about 5-6years and 1st time had a problem with any window. Placed order last Friday, the gal said it would be ready by Tuesday, is now Thursday morning of the following week, called before arriving to their shop about my order, they take their sweet time and tell me it's ready, I arrive to pick the two pieces and only one is ready, the other was suppose to just be cut there locally at the shop and for a week it was not! They lost my order, took them over 3 months to find it, when it was done the glass was cut the wrong size, they didn't remember me and charged about 50 dollars more than Capital glass for the same type of order. We were a first time customer just needing to replace our screen rail. A technician took the screen and promised it would be fixed by the next day as they had materials in the back. He would call us. My husband called the next day, it hadn't even been started. He called again the following day, still not started. Seems this technician forgot to write up the order, the office girl wasn't happy my husband was upset that nobody could provide a straight answer as to what the delay was. My husband was told the technician would call him later that day. At 4:30, I called the business to do a follow up. The technician just arrived at the office. Said he could still do it or order us a whole new screen door for triple the quoted work to replace one rail!!! If we went with the used one, it would be ready the next morning. I told him I needed to speak to my husband and I would call him back. This technician told us to only speak with him. In the process of discussing this with my husband, this technician clocked out for the day. My husband calls back within 10 minutes and was informed by the owner the technician already left. My husband told her he thought she was lying as we were told to call back with our decision. The OWNER, Helen, dropped the G'd damn F'bomb (her words) and told us to pick up the screen as they wouldn't do the work no matter how much money we paid. I called back to speak with Paul. Donna was the person I spoke with and she refused to accept responsibility for their technician's error. She kept saying it was his fault. That he will probably lose a few days work for this. However, NO ONE tried to fix the situation. To say were PO'd doesn't even begin to cover it. I told her I was going to report them to the Better Business Bureau. She told me to go ahead and report them all day long. She then told me she'd leave my screen outside for me to pick it up tomorrow. Umm NO...it would get stolen. No Show!!!!! I should have listened to yelp! They were supposed to come and measure for a shower enclosure between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00. They never showed or called. When I called Paul and asked where they were he said he would call me back. He then had the Secretary call me back and tell me their guy Brian got hung up on a job and would be on his way soon. I contacted these guys Monday morning to come out and replace my sliding door glass. They arrived at my house at 11:30am and measured the glass for replacement. They called me on Thursday to schedule a Monday appt. I asked if there is any way they could do it this Friday as I am having an open house on Sunday to sell my house. The woman on the phone put me on hold for a minute and returned to tell me they would be out on Friday between 9-12. They showed up at 11 and were done by 11:30. Called Vallejo Glass to get an estimate for replacing the track on a sliding glass patio door. When I called I was told "they don't do track replacements" and "we only replace the whole sliding window" and "you might want to try a door company" but the odd thing about all of that is they had previously done the same exact repair on my OTHER sliding glass door in the past. So I think I'll just use someone else this time. Their prices were high last time anyway, and their work wasn't really all that good but I was willing to try them again. The money wasn't the issue. I needed new shower glass for my bath remodel. My contractor felt that Vallejo Glass would be cheaper and faster than another company we were going to use. Plus, one of the panels had a difficult cut because of the shower design and my contractor felt Vallejo Glass could handle it. We were wrong on all accounts. The price was very high and the install took NINE WEEKS--my remodel took less time. They never took responsiblity for the many delays, the glass being cut wrong, rescheduling an install and then cancelling because of an issue. Now business is under new ownership, and they seem to have no records from the previous owner.....My windows have been failing one at a time. I was able to have several fixed by the manufacturor,but I have now called them 3 times and they will not return my calls, or acknowledge them. I had a shower enclosure installed by Vallejo Glass. They didn't cut the gasket material long enough so after a couple of weeks it shrunk, and looked terrible. They wanted to charge me for more gasket material so I could repair it. Don't waste your time or money at this place. If you do you will be sorry. I'd had a charge account with them for years so imagine my surprise when I got a call from a collection account about a past-due bill with VGC. When I contacted VGC about this error there was no apology, no recognition that I'd been a regular customer for years and no explanation how they lost all my contact info.
