I was replacing my wiper blades and made an error when the bare metal arm snapped onto my windshield and cracked it. Amateur move. I went in to see Vic and he determined there really wasn't much he could do as the crack was too large to repair. However, he said he'd drill tiny pits just beyond the cracks in hopes that move will stop further cracking. The value of this review isn't that Vic fixed my windshield, he fixed something more valuable. He fixed my faith in others. He got to work on my car with no ulterior motive other than to make me feel better and with hopes that his plan would do good. He didn't charge me a dime. So for all the good deeds of fine people out there, Vic is one of them. Thank you Vic. Should my windshield need replacement, hopefully not anytime soon, you will be my choice in spite of living in San Francisco. I'll make the trip just to repay you for your kindness. read more

I went to Vic's to have them replace my windshield, my insurance paid for it. After 4 days I notice a crack appearing in the bottom corner, I got out to look at it and this is what I saw...they chipped it during install and tried to cover it up with black paint so I wouldn't see it. I called my insurance company and sent them the photos. The windshield is part of the safety equipment for your vehicle, and for Vic's to do something so shady as this, tells me just what kind of people they are. My insurance company is going to deal with Vic's. I ended up having Safelight replace it. read more

Filed an insurance claim with a crack appearing in my windshield on my Audi S4. There was some delay in a response, which appeared to be between the insurance company and the shop. Once i reached out to my agent, i got a very quick response. They did a great job and the new windshield is great. They're a little tricky to find; Apple maps give the wrong location for some reason. They're actually towards the back of the Subaru dealership. I would definitely use them again. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I had my car window smashed in while parked at a Sacramento hotel. I was driving the next day to Napa to visit family, so my husband called this place to see if they could get it fixed. Vic ordered the window and I was able to get it installed in a couple of days. He even put some kind of adhesive over my window so I didn't have to drive around with a missing window in the meantime. I highly recommend this business! I had someone scheduled to come out to my house to fix it and they canceled on me earlier in the day due to possible rain in the afternoon. While traveling cross country, our windshield was chipped. Being from Pennsylvania, we googled windshield repair and Vic' autoglass came up. We pulled into Vic's shop in Napa, CA with no scheduled appointment and no idea what our options were. I explained what we were on this cross country trip and needed some help. Vic told me he needed a few minutes to finish what he was doing but he would look at the windshield. Within fifteen minutes, he was looking at our car and on his recommendation he temporary patched the windshield. I would highly recommend him for any work that his shop does. Took a rock to my BRAND NEW windshield 3 days ago (last one was replaced 3 weeks ago after enduring several chips/cracks driving on hwy 12 eastward). Called Vic's as soon as I returned to Napa. Took it in today and Vic said no crack, it should be fine, but offered to put some whatever-they-use (epoxy?) in the hole. 10 minutes later, chip/hole filled and no charge. One quote was 579..00 and some change plus disposal fee and tax, wanting to know who would be working on my car I drove to the shop, was impressed with Vic so I Made the appointment. I brought my suv here because a tree fell on the back window and totally blew it out. Vic's was $50 cheaper than the other shop I called, so hey, who doesn't want to save $50 bucks? Well, me...next time. They replaced the window just fine, but did a bad job of cleaning up the glass that was blown thru the rest of the vehicle. Long story short, I spent almost 30 minutes trying to vacuum up tiny bits of glass when I came to retrieve my vehicle. They obviously did a nasty rush job that I needed to spend my time completing. On top of that, they removed the rear wiper in order to be able to replace the rear windshield, but never replaced it. And... he forgot to even put the wiper back in my car so it was left behind at his shop. I will give him (Vic) credit for returnig the wiper and other accessories that were removed from the back of my car to my home. But that's the only positive. Obviously, no clue regarding providing great customer service. Next time, I'll pay more and go somewhere else. read more
