Called and sent a message for a quote for a windshield chip repair. They messaged me to call them for an estimate. The chip is less than a dime size. The person quoted me $80 over the phone, and I said, 'great, we'll be right there.' When we came to the shop, he said, "ok. I'll do it for $80 but you take risk if the windshield breaks. " What? Your work isn't guaranteed? Also, why mention this after I've already driven to your shop? Other shops have quoted me now with $90-120 for the repair with a guarantee of service. I needed a windshield replaced on a relatively new car. I dislike aftermarket glass - thin, wavy, greasy, non-insulating - its just not good for a nice car. Dealer couldn't promise/commit to using OEM glass - apparently they don't source glass and defer to a contractor. So I started calling around. Mike knew exactly what I wanted and why. His price for guaranteed OEM glass was only a little bit higher than the dealer for "We'll request they use OEM, but no guarantees". Worst place ever. Not only is this guy a liar but very un- ethical. He cuts you off when you're talking and will put after market parts on your car. When it doesn't work he tries to put the blame on you (customer). Please never give this place your business. How the process went. Service requested and quick response asked for VIN and car model. Then scheduled for next day appointment. I waited in the lounge area they had a TV, and bathroom so it's comfortable. After an hour service was postponed for next day due to missing parts, the owner walked me through why the delay and what he's done. Next day returned, whole process took 2hrs, the replacement windshield looked great. He even vacuumed the front car and wiped the mirrors of the car. Absolutely horrible - DO NOT GO HERE! First they took forever to fix my car. They said it was going to take 3-4 hours so I waited the lobby. Ended up taking most of they day. Then I take my car to Audi and they say the rain sensor was broken when they did the windshield replacement. It's an $1,100 repair! They initially communicated about the issue. Then nothing. Had to spend $1,100 out of pocket to fix the issue. And now I'm trying to work with Safelite corporate to get paid back. What a mess! read more

I've gone to this business several times for small chip repairs on my windshield, and he's always finished the job in 30 minutes or less. I never want the small chip to turn into a large crack across my windshield and his work each and every time prevents that from happening. Just recently though I was driving down 680, and I heard a "pop". It was a small rock pebble that hit the bottom of the drivers side windshield. That small chip turned into a large crack up and across the middle in less than an hour. Devasted, I called Hi Quality and told him my dilemma. He gave me two options for the windshield, and I decided to go with the one closest to OEM, without the car brand insignia. Because my car has the safety camera feature, he would have to special order the windshield and it would be delivered in 2 days. He would include calibration if needed regarding the car safety feature with the window replacement. 2 days later the part arrived and he was able to install it in 2 hours!
