I also had my patio glass panel replaced due to being accidentally broken. Tim and Chris replaced the patio sidling glass door panel with no problems. They cleaned up all of shattered glass from deck and surrounding areas. The installation went smooth with no problems. Sergio & Chris replaced (2) Living Room window. However due to some measurement issues, there were some challenges on obtaining correct sizes. The issue escalated to Katie & Dee which made situation 'right'. My son-in-love and daughter contacted Acme Glass from a contractor referral to replace 12 screens, install new springs and replace one double pane window in their 2 story home. I love giving positive reviews about services I have received. My front windows would not stay open. I contact 3 companies for estimates. The first 2 quoted me $5000.00 plus I would have to hire someone to remove my plantation shutters which was approximately additional $650.00 for removal and reinstalling. The last company was amazing, Sergio was the representative who was sent to do an estimate. He told me he could replace the springs for a quarter of the price. No new windows needed. Wow I had found someone who was honest and knowledgeable. I got a quote from Acme Glass to do the work and one-week later Sergio came and in less than one hour is done. One last thing I would like to state. I have a screen door for my patio, and he replaced the screen with a solar one plus changed the rusty old wheels. Mike and Dillon arrived on time, quickly evaluated sliding glass door (that was extremely difficult to open and close), gave us a reasonable cost estimate, and then proceeded to change out the wheels on the bottom, re-leveled the door, and lubricated it. The door now literally slides open and closes with barely a touch with our fingers. They also adjusted the lock to work more easily. They were very friendly and professional. I had an appointment from 1-3PM for measuring the shower glass. I asked if they can give me a call when the person is on the way (I requested 2time for this) to our house. Tim showed up early and didn't even call us. The worst part was he didn't even call when he reach at our house 15 min before the window time they give to us and we had people working. He walked to one of the guys said he is here to take measurements for the shower door and glass. I called the company and let them know what happened. Time called me while I was on the phone with the office and I asked him why he didn't call before or when he reached at the house before he entered my house. He said we don't call when we arrive. If homeowner is not home and you have people who are working we will ask them. I asked him he should have waited outside and called us that he is here and came earlier than the window time they provide us. I asked TIM to wait outside until my wife arrive at the home by 1:00PM. When my wife arrived, he said I will not do the measurements and he left. Meanwhile I called the office again to let them know what happened. They repeated the same thing that they don't call before appointment window time or if they arrive early to let homeowner know they are at their house. I asked them I called twice to ask them if they can let us know when someone is on their way to our house. Why would you promise that can't accommodate the request. The office person becomes rude and aggressive to defend that we don't call and if the home owner is not home they will ask the person who is working at your house. Bad service and I cancel the quote request after that. Don't want to deal with someone can't provide what customers want. Stay away from them. I will be reporting this to BBB. read more

After consistently opening and closing the patio doors, the wiring at the bottom of the door rails snapped and it was impossible to open the door all the way with a broken wire. Late post: service on 7/19/21 We bought this house 10 years ago with almost all the window screens bent, warped and/or torn. Finally we decided to replace all the screens in the house... A total of 14 windows. We called Acme and Jim came out to do the measuring and was awesome. He was on time and he was quick and accurate, and he got along great with our dogs! We also requested a frosted-dual-pane glass window replaced next to our front door. The gal in the office, Maria, was extremely helpful. I meant to write this review sooner, as its been a couple months since I used Acme Glass. We had a couple windows where the gasket were bulging out. I thought I was going to have to get whole new windows, which is expensive. I happened to find Acme Glass, and asked them to come inspect. They came out in a timely manner (can't remember how fast but probably within a week), for the estimate. I was happy with the estimate as it was way cheaper than what I worried it would be. They were going to be replacing 3 panes of glass, and then two of my windows needed new springs. They set up a time for the work to be done a couple weeks later. We did have to postpone once, but it was due to rain and since some of the work needed to be done outside on a later that made sense. When they came out (I think it was Andrew, but not positive), the work was done well, and pretty quickly. During the work we noticed two window screens needed replaced so I was able to order them and pick them up from the store and replace ourselves-they were easy to put in, and avoid an additional fee for them to come out to install. Overall, I was very happy with my service. I only wish I had done this sooner. We are looking to put our house on the market so am fixing up these kinds of things, but the one window had been bothering me for years, and if I'd known it just needed the glass replaced, I would have dealt with it sooner. read more

Acme has great prices but the lead time to install my glas was almost 30 days, so I taped my broken glass. The install was prompt and quick but the sticky tape they used was set and the glas set slightly crooked by a 3/8 of an inch actual noticable. They just ok. read more

We ordered a few screens to be re-made. It took forever! We called them after the first due date and were told it would be another week. When that due date came we were told another few days was needed. Then we were told the screens had arrived but needed to be checked for accuracy. We waited a whole day and finally called them the next day. Later that day they called and said they were available for pick up. Seriously? It took 16 days altogether so if you're in a hurry I don't recommend Acme Glass. read more

We had a laundry room window that leaked for years. After putting off the repairs, I decided to contact a few, local glass companies. Acme Glass responded to my inquiry immediately and sent Jim over for an estimate. This may seem like a standard response, but no other local company offered this basic level of service. One company only wanted emailed photographs of the window and then gave me a quote, site unseen. It turned out that there was more extensive damage than could be fixed with just a window replacement. What further impressed me about Acme is that even though Jim had sent out a couple of workers to initially do the job, as soon as it got complicated, he immediately contacted me and followed up with another in-person assessment. Jim put me in touch with a GC and has worked seamlessly with him to install the window during the time the GC needed him to. The office staff at Acme Glass is extremely responsive and has answered all my questions as well as tried to work with my schedule. I do not agree with this TQ person... Acme glass is a long-time established company. I have used this company personally and have refered a lot of business to them. I have also been present while they have completed work and they are very professional. They also go above and beyond what is expected. For example: Recently they did a retrofit window job on a house I refered to them. I was present for this install and they even trimmed out the patio door that needed extra trim added. Technically this isnt their responsibility but they did it anyway. Now I just need to paint it. =) Everything was completed very well, it looks great, and they have another happy customer!!
