Had Brad come and measure for 2 replacement sliding screen doors. A friend recommended him and I see pretty good reviews other than communication issues. Decided to try him out. Brad is a very nice guy, informative and prompt to arrive to measure. Was told possibly 2 weeks to have them fabricated. No update for another 3 weeks until I called him, was told another week or so to complete fabrication. So just like the other negative reviews I felt that it would be the same story for me, another week and so on. This negative review is in no way a criticism of the quality of Brad's work, no doubt he does good work according to the positive reviews, just needs to communicate better, shouldn't be too much trouble to keep customers up to date on a job status. read more

Brad was on the job site with Elijah and Kelly start to finish. They all were professionals, courteous, polite, they cared for my home as much as I do, covered the floors in the work area and everyday before leaving cleaned up both inside and outside so we did not have equipment in our way, Brad made a guarantee on quality of work and delivered on every aspect of the job, we are satisfied with our interactions with Brad and his team and highly recommend FitzPerfect Windows and Doors We were shopping for 17 windows to be replaced not because there was anything wrong with them, but because of the traffic noise that entered into the home through the windows, we live 100 yards from highway 505. My 9 year old windows had a rating of 28 sound transmission class (STC). I had 3 brand name window manufacturers come to my home, they only sold their brand of windows where they cut out the existing window and place inserts and their sound package windows could not get me more than 33 to 35 STC which was not enough improvement for me to spend the money. I then found FitzPerfect Windows and Doors on the internet who does not manufacture windows, instead they offer 12 different manufacturers windows. When Brad came to my house, I could tell that he had just come from a job site looking like a working man and he had a direct, friendly professional demeanor which I liked, not at all like the other companies who made me feel that they were trying to sell me something with offers, discounts and rebates. We discussed my issue being sound nothing else, he had several manufacturers that sold sound packages, but they also were only rated at 33-35 STC but that did not stop Brad, he said give him a couple of days to look into it and see what he can find, In a couple days I got a phone call, he found a window manufacturer that had a sound package window with STC 47, it was a new construction window requiring exterior stucco and interior sheet rock trimming to completely remove the entire window from the studs, place the 17 new windows, new exterior stucco and trim, interior sheet rock and custom made wood window boarder so he could replace the blinds that they removed. We are very satisfied with the near total reduction in noise entering the home now. This is a very late review as FitzPerfect did my 4 glass sliding doors and window 1.5 years ago. They did a fantastic job. My doors and window were installed by Brad and his very efficient crew over a day. They were quick, clean, and did quality work. This past week one of the glass sliding doors was malfunctioning and not locking. I called Brad, we scheduled a day, and he came out diagnosed the issue and fixed it in 20 min. Had our old front door adjusted that we didn't want to replace because we love the old wooden door and it was sagging after the years and a fire door going into our garage replaced. Brad did amazing work on both, was able to keep the old door frame and adjust the door and replaced the fire door and the weather stripping on both. Was really happy with the work and pricing and responsiveness. Other places didn't even offer to come out and gave us ballpark quotes without even coming to measure. He came out measured, ordered what was needed and when the fire door that was ordered came in scratched he sent it back and got a new one and still came to do the front door on a separate visit prior to the arrival of the new door. I purchased a 12 foot Andersen slider from Halls Windows in Sacramento, it never worked right. Halls came out and adjusted it several times in 10 years, after the warranty, I gave up on Halls and contacted Brad at FitzPerfect Doors, he and his crew came out, disassembled the door, corrected the problem, reassembled it, you could hardly tell they had done it. My wife and I live at Lake Berryessa in Napa County. What does this have to do with anything? you might ask. Well, we are 35 minutes away from Napa, and 60 from Vacaville. I called two glass companies in Napa when our patio door seals failed and I needed a replacement. One said he was busy at the moment but would check prices and get back to me in a few minutes. Never happened. The second one never called back at all. I checked Vacaville and found Fitz-Rite, called, and talked to Brad right away. We agreed on a day he could come over and look at the job. He was here on time, and he helped us decide on the right door (top of the line, because it faces the (very) hot Lake Berryessa sun, which caused the last door to fail. He followed through when the new door came in, and he and Joe were here within 10 minutes of the promised time. They finished the difficult installation in less than a day, and best of all, really cleaned the area up before they packed up and left. I felt we got very good value. The door is 300 percent better than the cheapie used before, and has a lifetime warranty in case we have the same problem down the line.
