I have worked with this company over the last several years on two different homes. They have installed a total of 4 Milgard sliding glass doors and 12 windows on the homes. I have watched them on a few occasions and have seen the quality and care that is put into the installation including the sealing foam and flanging around each window. They always send someone out first to measure each window before sending the order in to the manufacturer for accuracy. All of the installations that they put in my home fit nicely. The windows(Anderson Windows) were double pain however, they were so poorly constructed I now have condensation in between the pains, both the Anderson and New pane refused to address the issue and ignored repeated attempts to help. Additionally, New Pane said they would clean the windows after install then, refused to come back to clean. They dropped caulking all over my wood floors and the outside of the newly placed siding! read more

Newpane in Dixon, CA is a professional business with Andrew, Philip and Nancy heading up the front office. Newpane is a pleasure to work with and no pressure sales. They gave us a very good estimate on a complete window replacement project that included a much harder "new construction" stucco wall installation. We ordered 13 Milgard Tuscany series windows with patio slider and the job took approximately 4 months to complete from the estimate date to the final payment and review. Many factors took place during our installation from material backlogs, labor scheduling with changes and final fit and finish. Pros: We are happy we chose Milgard Tuscany series windows which are temperature efficient. Newpane made no hard sell to select a higher or lower priced model. They recommended windows that fit our desires and made honest comparisons. The windows themselves are well made and easy to operate. Newpane is friendly and cooperative. Neutral: The installation schedule slipped due to labor issues as their lead stucco expert was over-booked or had conflicts. The initial phase was old window removal which took place during the last week of July and into August (some hot weather days). They swapped out each window for the new windows immediately so no concerns of long external element exposure. The stucco team started almost immediately on the window prep once the new windows were in. *One side note: your house frame will have some shifting during the window replacement due to the pressures of geometry and time. Cons: The final finish for a new construction stucco installation is going to be a challenge with stucco pattern matching or masking. Ours is very noticeable and wasn't apparent until the new stucco was painted. I can only say this was on the stucco expert to make the stucco match the original stucco pattern. This is the art of stucco finishing. We had new paint applied and can easily see the stucco patch around the new windows. Could have been much better. Overall, we are very happy with Newpane and their installation but we now know what we would do different if we had to do this again. read more

Newpane just completed replacement of most of windows and slider on my house with "New Construction" Milgard windows. This was an interesting experience being roughly 100 miles from the company that was installing my new Milgard windows. My building manager suggested I use this company since they did a great job in other units. Ordering: This was all done through email and then they sent a representative out to confirm the measure was similar to other units they had done in the building. I don't know why they didn't request the deposit at that time so I could send it back with the Newpane contractor. I had to mail them a check as I wasn't going to drive 100 miles to deliver it in person. I also didn't receive confirmation of receipt for this. The only way I knew payment was received is when I saw the check was cashed. Communication between Order/Install: The communication beyond signing the contract and taking my money was lacking. I knew the date they were coming to install the windows, but I had no arrival time or follow up letting me know they were on their way from Dixon, CA to Santa Clara, CA. Waiting for the windows to be built/shipped to Newpane took roughly two months. At this point we set an installation date. Installation: I had 3 huge windows installed which was completed in one day, but one of the panes got cracked upon The crew was clean and swept up when they were done. My only complaint is they had to load the window frames in empty and then load the glass into the frames when they were installed. There is some sort of material that goes around the glass to seal it to the frame and in my sight line I could see some material hanging down from where my lounge chair looks out the living room. Repair: Since a pane was cracked Newpane had to contact Milgard for a warranty claim to have a new pane sent out and then come and install this. Unfortunately this took two months due to Milgard/Newpane having a communication error. I emailed Michael (owner of Newpane) and got no response so I called to get more information. I was happy with just having information regarding a resolution. I know they can't product a glass pane out of thin air to fix this issue. Once the pane was received by Newpane, it was installed in record time. Overall Newpane was amazing, but I wish they had better communication through some of the process. I felt I had more questions and had to call them to figure out what was going on. They did a great job minus cracking the pane upon installation and leaving that sealant hanging in a sight line. read more

My opinion is that this company represents honesty in business practices. I had been told by another window dealer that most of my windows would need replacement to the tune of about 8 grand. Newpane came to my home, looked at my windows, and advised that my Millguard windows had a lifetime warranty.
