I called around to get a double pane window glass replaced. Four different local stores referred me here. I ended up needing to order glass because it was a weird size. From the quote to the install they were awesome. They even got it finished ahead of schedule. Holly, in the office, is amazing!! She kept in contact with me every step of the way. I ordered a window for the front of my house and Solano Glass came out, took the measurements, and ordered the window. Unfortunately, their glassmaker lost the order so several weeks later I called and there was the inevitable hunt for the glass (Solano Glass had a receipt saying they had the glass but they couldn't find it -- there is some question as to whether they lost it or the glassmaker never sent it). Eventually it showed up and they installed it. It's a beautiful window expertly installed. So it was a pretty good experience except for the delay. read more

I did end up saving a bit and really truly appreciate her honesty. How many companies will actually say that? If I need glass work done in/near Fairfield, Solano Glass is on top of my list. After the original glass shelf in the fridge shattered I was not only left with a mess of glass, but also the conundrum of finding a replacement for this 8 year-old piece. It was definitely more affordable and efficient to have a piece of tempered glass custom cut/fit than to order the replacement online (manufacturer was out of stock). I sent out a message through Yelp to several local glass companies and all the other sent me a standard reply of "unavailable for this job". This is where Solano Glass saved me! They have wonderful Michelle manning their phones and Yelp messages. Michelle not only sent me a reply, but also included a price estimate (I gave rough dimensions) and their turnaround time. I took my shelf in and Michelle knew me by name before I even spoke. She quickly took my information down and said she'd call when it was ready. It was ready within the week - this was a holiday week too! Pickup was a breeze and the shelf looks great! read more

I was able to walk in, and order exactly what I needed and was quoted a very reasonable price and was told it would be ready in two days and would get a call to arrange a pickup time. I never received a call on the day specified nor over the weekend. I called Monday and was told the order got backlogged and would be ready Wednesday. I called late Wednesday afternoon and found out myself that the order was ready for pickup. I was frustrated that I felt like I had to keep tabs on the status of my order and call to find out why things weren't on the timetable I was given. read more

I too was impressed with these guys. From getting a quote to the final clean up, these guys do not mess around. I had lost some faith in businesses because some will put an ad out looking for your business but then will not show up when it is time to get that free quote - not even a call! It is very frustrating especially when arrangements need to be made for that appointment. Now, these guys are a different story! They showed up when they said they would and were very professional, clean, and hard working. They have the "old school way" of thinking but are not old :-) They have restored by faith . I contacted the store to request a glass top for my new dining room set that I have waited for 15 months. The guy showed up and said he had to make a pattern with paper so he could get an estimate for me. As he is doing this, he says, your table scratches easily. I said, what? I went over to him and he proceeded to show me how he used his thumb nail upside down and scratched my table for a second time. This guy tried to deny scratching my table after I watched him do it a 2nd time. He told me he would discuss with his Supervisor. I never heard anything from Solano Glass. I finally called and requested to speak with the Supervisor. I explained to the receptionist Holly about what happened. She said she would have the Supervisor call me. Two hours later I finally receive a call from the Supervisor, Kurt Branson. The first thing he says to me (after I said Hello) is I am not paying for your table to be fixed and your just pissed because the price is $600.00 for the glass. He proceeded to shout at me, cut me off, accuse me of saying things I did not say, He Bullied Me!!!!! He would not allow me to tell my side of the story and continued to Bully Me!! I requested for him to come to my home and see the scratches (2) that his employee made on my table. He refused and stood by his employee. The only way I could end this conversation was to hang up on him. I feel like I just dealt with an Abusive Husband. Kurt Branson is a Hostile, Angry, Mean, Liar, Rude, Abusive and Unprofessional individual that Bullied Me when all I did was request a glass piece for my table top. I am very happy with the windows and how fast David and Chris worked on our house. Their customer service was great and they were very friendly.
