A huge shoutout to Sean, who guided our tasting. The man knows his craft. He walked us through each wine with genuine knowledge, made everything easy to understand, and you can tell he's genuinely passionate about what he does. Plus, he's just a cool guy!! his tattoos are dope and add to the vibe he brings to the room. The wines were exceptional across the board: balanced, flavorful, and thoughtfully presented. Napa Cellars delivers a high-quality experience without feeling pretentious or overwhelming. I stopped into Napa Cellars with some girlfriends while touring Napa Valley. The staff, gardens, and views were all a delight. Once you check in for your pairing you can pick from several picturesque spots to sit and enjoy the day. If it was a nicer day it would have been even more gorgeous, but we made it work with the chilly overcast vibes that Sunday afternoon. We found ourselves seated in their adirondack chairs soaking up the Napa vibes. Napa Cellars is a tremendous winery. It's so spacious inside, has tons of wines you can buy, and has a hugeeee outdoor space with lawn chairs, tables, and greenery. It's more of a chill and humble winery which I love. The tasting here was super - sending a special shoutout to Morgan for being the best host here! All the wines we got were perfectly explained and so crisp. We got an information card explaining what notes and flavors were in each wine. I seriously loved every glass. Absolutely beautiful winery in the heart of Napa. We came for a tasting and we were lucky to be the only folks on the property the gorgeous views, the overcast, the clouds, the vines, everything was perfection. The chilly weather was the only pick up however, the super friendly staff was able to bring us our blankets which was so nice and thoughtful. I loved hearing all of the history behind Napa cellars safely in the wind and finding a few to take home. We bought several bottles to for our Airbnb and by the time the trip ended they were all gone. They were so delicious. The service is outstanding the views are incredible and you really feel like it's a special spot in town . read more

First let me say Darlene who was our tour guide/sommolier/hostess was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! She was so friendly, knowledgeable and hospitable at the end of the day it was unbelievable! She was so full of energy and shared so much about the property you can tell she REALLY loves what she does. Beautiful grounds. Gorgeous for photos. I didn't find a wine that I liked here as they had us tasting more dry rather than sweet but overall it was a great experience and they had some wine soaked cheese that you MUST try if you're a cheese lover. read more

So impressed by the set up here!! We were traveling with a 5yo and 2yo.. and finding a winery that allows kids (not just before 12pm...) was tricky. We weren't going to be in the area until ~1pm, so we made a 2pm appointment knowing we 'd need some time to pick up food to avoid whiny kids for our wine tasting. The staff was so accommodating when we arrived with all our stuff in hand (kid backpacks, ipads, coloring stuff, outside food...etc), and didn't make us feel out of place whatsoever. They let us settle in and brought us a tasting to start things off, before we even picked our desired "formal" tasting. We booked the Classic tasting but they let us change that up so we could each do different ones.. and the tasting fees are waived if you spend a certain amount (I believe it was $100... but worth checking). Here's the summary, but highly recommend a visit! - Allows kids any time of day (but no changing table in the bathrooms...) - Allows outside food to be brought in - Lots of picnic tables outside (and space for toddlers to run / explore) - Dog friendly - Chill vibe for a Napa property, great music playing outside - Very good price point on wines - Classic tasting includes all the wines you can find in stores (my favorite was the Pinot Noir) read more

Refreshing wine and a beautiful venue!!! This wine experience is at their unique geodesic dome venue and covered terrace. Parking is easy and ample. The terrace overlooks the gorgeous vineyard and grape fields and gardens. It's immaculately maintained with clean gender neutral bathrooms. The service is great but recently like with most wineries in Napa since Covid, you need reservations and have to pay a tasting fee. Of course if you're a member, those fees are waived. We stopped at Napa cellars as part of a Napa wine trolley excursion. So much about wine is about the experience and the memories it creates I find. The way that the wine trolley works is that they supply the ride, and the passengers pick up the tasting fees. At this particular spot, if you didn't want to try the wines it was still $15 to sit at a picnic table. The wines were ok, I liked the Chardonnay, it was super soft on the palate. I asked our server what % malolactic fermentation (MLF) it had gone through (if any) and he didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Beautiful property inside and out. Arrived for our tasting and were greeted at the door by name. We were allowed to stand at the tasting bar, which is a nice change since Covid put a stop to that last year. We enjoyed being right in the middle of the winery and being able to experience the wines with an expert walking us through each wine as we tasted. One of our favorites here was the dessert wine. Smooth and almost brandy like. It was great with our dessert of ice cream, caramel, and candied walnuts. Many great wines here. We will be back. read more

Only my 2nd time visiting Napa Cellars and it was all around fantastic. I was greeted warmly with a nice Sauvignon by Russ who ended up being our server for our stay. Once I informed him my 90 year young mom was joining us, as it was breezy, he rolled out a heat lamp and choose a table with some sun. We were celebrating my sisters birthday and she was treated like a queen. The Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot and dessert wine were my favorites (dessert wine is accompanied with a lovely chocolate bite). I also want to mention how pristine everything at the winery was with Covid precautions adhered strictly to ensure everyone's safety. Had an amazing wine tasting experience at Napa Cellars. Many thanks to Darlene for being such a wonderful person. She was an awesome photographer and saved us from just having selfies to remember the day. We had to last minute reduce the party count by one and one person was unable to drink. They were very kind about the change and even offered their non-alcoholic wine to the non-drinker while we were doing our tasting. They made us feel special and so well accommodated with generous pours both in size and number. Also their outside food policy is incredible. Cannot recommend this spot enough! read more

My fiancé and I went to Napa this past weekend and Napa Cellars was one of our favorite experiences. I made reservations online via Cellarpass a few days before and we were set! We were greeted by someone outside to confirm our rezzie and perform a temperature check, and then Lance led us through their tasting room to their outdoor picnic area. Because of COVID-19, this route is one way, so we felt very safe. Masks are required to wear until you get to your picnic table, and then you can take them off. We got to pick which picnic table we wanted, as there were only 2 other parties there at 11am. The tables are very socially distanced and again, we felt super safe (so important in these times!). It was getting warm so the shade from the trees was very nice. We also got to check out their grapes that surround the picnic area. This was mine and my fiance's first wine tasting together and we mentioned it to Lance. He is the BEST! He made sure to explain each wine thoroughly and how each one is made. Their tastings start at $20 right now, but we opted for the $30 tasting. We ended up purchasing some wine glasses and a bottle as well because we enjoyed it so much! She she went out of her way to share her knowledge about wine and was generous with the sampling menu, even including some reserve wines that weren't part of our tasting. The outdoor picnic area is a lovely setting on a sunny day. Ability to bring your picnic lunch is a nice bonus. I've been here several times now and each time has been mostly great. They allow you to bring in outside food and picnic, so that's usually what my friends and I do. Two of my friends are members, so we typically don't have to pay for the tastings. I very rarely rag on an individual employee on here, but it's been several times that we've had Russ and the experience was so not enjoyable. I would say maybe we just caught him on an off day, but it's been 3-4 times now. Unfortunately he's not very friendly or welcoming. On my last visit he didn't even tell us what he was pouring, including the freebie "welcome" taste they offer. We were like, okay.... thanks, whatever this is. Other friends and family that've gone with me have expressed similar feelings after he's hosted us too. On the flip side, when we've had Nathan or the manager (I forget her name), it's been extremely enjoyable. They're both awesome and super friendly! We love Nathan, he makes it really fun. Another odd callout I'll make is that they always make it seem like they're "squeezing us in" for a tasting and then it's always pretty empty when we show up. That's happened multiple times, so we just think it's kinda funny at this point. Anyways, if you're in the area, I suggest stopping by, but don't rearrange your entire day to make it work. Darlene welcomes us for a 10 am tasting like she had known us for years! And Debbie shortly followed by welcoming us to the tasting room. So maybe I should rewind for a minute. Our friends are wine club members and extended their tasting to us so Debbie called several days before our visit to set up a tasting. Her phone calls were thorough and informative. We didn't end up actually speaking before my visit but I was fully informed on what to expect. During our tasting, Darlene was so amazing. I wanted to stick her in my suitcase and take her home with me. The service was off the chain. The wines were very good. We ended up buying several bottles and my friend (who's local) joined the club. Our experience here met and exceeded our expectations. Kudos to all of the staff here. read more

We had a fabulous tasting here a couple weekends ago! Reservations are required, but are super easy to book online! We came in at 1:30. Usually tastings take 90 minutes, but we were there for 2 hours. They have a nice outdoor seating area with picnic tables and lounge chairs. Our host was so nice and friendly. I wish I remembered her name! She was very energetic and passionate about wine. She brought us out a complimentary tasting of Chardonnay I believe. This was my first time at Napa Cellars and I cannot express enough how wonderful my experience was. My two dogs are literally a part of my family and Napa Cellars pampers and spoils your 4-legged family members! I was able to make a Sunday reservation for a party of two a few days prior online through Cellar Pass. I was told over the phone that Saturday reservations are booked up at least a week in advanced. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. Darlene really took care of us! A few tables were open and we chose where we wanted to sit. We were provided with a welcome glass of wine while Darlene prepared our wine tasting. Not only did she come back with our wine flight, the staff also brought my two dogs a tray with doggie bandanas, dog treats, a dog bowl, and a wine bottle filled with fresh water for them. They really know how to treat your pups here! Darlene was so friendly and made sure our visit was nothing less than spectacular. She really knows her wines as well! You can tell she genuinely loves her job! We loved our visit so much, we ended up joining their wine club! I love that you are welcome to bring your own food to picnic. This past weekend, myself and two friends visited Napa Cellars for wine tasting. We were on what we like to call a "dog mom" trip and had our dogs with us. When we arrived, my friends and I were greeted immediately and our dogs were greeted as well. We were seated promptly and shorty brought over a tray of dog treats, bandanas and water bow with water in a wine bottle. The whole thing was adorable. Our wine hostess was incredible. Her name was Darlene and because of her I can't wait to go back! While explaining all the wine in the tasting she also made it less like a class and more like a conversation with a friend. We loved her stories and could have listened to her all day. Darlene was so attentive and patient with us as we leisurely enjoyed our wine. The other staff was amazing as well and even when a large tour group came through we still received that same wonderful service. read more

We chose this winery because it was kid and dog friendly. We received the best service and we loved the wines so much that we became members. The tasting room manager took great care of us. We had four adults and three kids and one dog. They had two tables set up for us - one for kids and one for adults. They even had a dog bowl with water for our doggie friend. We were able to bring in outside food which is near impossible in Napa so that was another huge plus. The tasting room is quaint but lovely and the outside grounds are as well.
