Sadly, my favorite place at the Ala Moana food court, the curry house, which does an amazing Japanese curry, considering it's "fast food", closed after some 30 years. I will have to visit one of their other local restaurants.... I was looking around the other vast offerings at the food court, and I found this place. For "mall ramen", it was extremely good! I started with three wonton. They were decent sized, they were done very well, they were tender, and they were delicious. The beef sukiyaki Ramen was also very good. It didn't have a lot of "stuff" in it, I thought it would come with an egg, but apparently you have to order that separately. The broth was rich, and not too salty, the noodles were just the right texture, and the generous portion of beef was very very good. It had a great flavor and it was not too chewy like it can be. he noodles were very thin. I like my Ramen with a thicker noodle, I'm not sure if different types of Ramen have different noodles. I like Ramen, but I'm not an expert. Lol. It was still a very, very good meal. I would come back. Thank you.

Located in the Ala Moana food court, this place wasn't too busy so my son and I decided to take a chance here as soup did sound good for a rainy day. We ordered the spicy ramen and gyoza. Our food was made quick and we didn't have to wait too long which really convenient for us. The ramen noodles were good and it wasn't actually that spicy. The noodles had a good taste, and it didn't give off a flour taste. I really liked the bamboo that was inside. Everything was good, and prices were decent. Would come here again.

Located in the Ala Moana Center Food Court, the food is great and I would recommend the Spicy Ramen. Service is quick and you'll have your ramen in less than 10 minutes. The broth is warm and the spice is wonderful. There is plenty of vegetables, meat, and ramen to fill you up. If you park in the garage facing Ala Moana Blvd and enter through the entry door next to Jollibee, you'll see Naniwa-Ya Ramen on your right. The hardest part is finding a table. If you come with another person, I highly recommend one person finds a table while the other places the order.

Naniwa-Ya Ramen is located on the first floor of the Ala Moana Center in the food court area. There are many food court choices but today we decided to try another new ramen place while doing some shopping. The ramen doesn't come with the soft egg so we ordered 2 on the side. The service is pretty quick when not busy and you'll get a pager. When your order is ready, the pager will buzz you to pick up your order. They pack your order as if it's "to go." We ordered the miso ramen and vegetable ramen. Overall, it's pretty good. The miso broth was just right and not too salty. The veggie broth was ok, a bit on the light flavor side. I wish they added more veggies.

It was ok I was looking forward to eating there noodles didn't really catch my taste buds it was ok the calamari noodle I was Expecting more to it but I guess that was it.The gyoza was small and bottom of it was burnt so I don't think I'll order that again there's so much choices to Choose from maybe I'll come Back and try another ramen and see how I feel about it next time I won't give up coming here on the first try.I did like the Manapua tho.

Meh, just wanted a quick snack and that's exactly what I received. Very busy afternoon at the food court, received a pager for my order and it was ready pretty fast. pricing is based on how many pieces you want, I got 5 pieces for $4.75. Soy sauce packet thrown on top of the food instead of portioned into a small container is tacky.

They give you a pager which vibrates when your order is ready. You go fetch your food, so no service. It's located in the mall food court, a huge cafeteria feel. The y was a flour taste with the first bite of udon, the bowl contained one slice of fish cake and two pieces of fried tofu which were actually tofu skins, the broth had flavor but didn't taste fresh, probably reconstituted. Disappointing for $13. I was still hungry afterwards.

I am with my fellow Yelpers. There wasn't anything that jumped out at me when I ate at Naniwa-Ya Ramen located at the Ala Moana Center's Food Court. I was with a group of friends. Everyone seems to have their own desire of cuisine. I had a crave for noodle soup. So, I went to get ramen with a side order of gyoza. It was a weeknight and no line at all. My dishes came out pretty quick. I kind of question on my food preparation. Yup. The big box made gyozas look so tiny. I could eat all 4 pieces in my bite. Ramen was so-so. Flavors seemed to be okay. But I tasted better ramen before.

They have the best ramen and a wide variety of delicious side dishes such as dumplings and steamed buns.

    Gyoza. So tiny.
    Maile K.

Very touristy. Portion size is really small. The gyoza are so tiny. Frozen & reheated in the microwave. The staff thought I was dumb, that I didn't see that my gyoza were not on the flat top. They were put, scorching hot, into the takeout box, and according to G.R., anything that is served that hot has been heated in the microwave. I wasn't expecting a gourmet gyoza, but maybe something a little more than, "I could have done this at home.". The flavor and texture are exactly the same as the frozen ones I did prepare at home last week, that was twice as many. The restaurant was not busy at 3:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon, so making a fresh batch would have given the staff something to do, other than standing around squawking with eachother in a foreign language. If that had been done, I would have left a tip. Live and learn.

Looking for good ramen in the Ala Moana mall? Mania-Ya Ramen is a good choice. The service is quick and the food is great! I was surprised at how fast the service was! Great experience!

Had 6 Gyoza... Not worth it. To much oil and garlic. Didn't try the ramen, maybe that's what I should've had.

My daughter and I like to order the Shiro Wagaya Ramen and my husband loves the Garlic Wagaya (Kuro) ramen. We also like to order the corn tempura as an appetizer. The restaurant itself is not so big but fits quite a good amount of people. The workers are very friendly and accommodating. You can also order your food through a QR code and pay online when you're done. There are also restrooms onsite. Parking is still small and can fill up when it's busy (you also aren't allowed to park in the Church parking lot) If you haven't eaten here before, I would suggest looking on their website at the waitlist to see how many people are on there prior to going there as they can get really busy. You can also put your name on the waitlist online so you don't have to do it on site. They have a really good text messaging system letting you know when your table is almost ready.

I enjoyed the sweet and savory flavor of the agedashi tofu but was a little underwhelmed with the ahi belly. I was excepting a slightly fattier cut of fish and wasn't anticipating onion on the skewer and felt it didn't pair well with the fish (personally). I'll definitely be back!

The most impressive part of the night was the reaction from my two daughters. They are typically very picky eaters, but they completely devoured the Tokyo Chicken ramen. My wife and I were just as impressed with our Spicy Tonkatsu and regular Tonkatsu bowls. The broth was remarkably rich and packed with complex flavors, while the chashu was a savory burst in every single bite. I live right near Little Tokyo in Los Angeles and have very high standards for what makes a good bowl of ramen, so I was honestly blown away by the quality here. The kids were so into the food that we even decided to grab an order of chicken karaage to go. The service was exceptionally attentive and the staff went out of their way to ensure our family had everything we needed. The ambiance was also fantastic and added to the overall experience. Regarding parking, it can be tough in Waikiki, but we found a convenient public garage right next to the hotel where the restaurant is located.
