Tried this spot for the first time and ordered the beef pozole and 3 asada tacos to go. The pozole was the star of the meal. It was flavorful, had a nice kick, and the beef was tender and delicious. The asada tacos were good, and the salsa was tasty. What impressed me most was how much meat they packed into each taco. Definitely a hidden gem with great portions and quality food. Just got back from vacation and needed some familiar food. My normal spot is too pricey now and isn't the same. I have always wanted to stop at Nancy's #2 and decided to give it a try. The restaurant is a little dive on the outside. The inside is clean and spacious, and prices were pretty decent. The girl who took my order was super polite and helpful. Place is filthy. Everything is super sticky. Food is mediocre but I guess you get what you pay for.

I've only had the menudo and posolle from there and I can say it's pretty damn good!! The place can get pretty packed on the weekends so we always get it to go. Sometimes the phone is busy for a long time also and I just assumed it's cause other people were placing to go orders. So me and hubby went in on a Friday. There was only one other person there. We sat down quickly but the service sucked! I kept eyeballing her waiting for her to come get drink order. We were thirsty!! I ordered a coke. She didn't ask if I wanted bottle coke from Mexico. And That's What she brought. I hate that!! I asked if she had anything else. She said only plastic bottles. That'll do cause the coke from Mexico sucks. Once she brought out the food she never came back to check on us. Not once!! My hubby wanted more tacos and he had to get up and she wasn't even at register. She was in back so he stood there for a while and she came out. She brought out his food and again never came back to see if we needed anything else. When we were done, no bill! Mmm! Yum! Food was delicious. My mom, dad, and I went to eat here. We all really enjoyed it. We didn't have to wait a long time to get our orders. We waited probably 15 minutes. My mom ordered a huarache and she liked it, my dad got enchiladas and he really liked it, and I really enjoyed my chile relleno. No picture of my mom's food though, sorry. I liked how the chile relleno wasn't full of oil like I've had the unfortunate experience of when I eat at other places. It was perfect. I tasted the smoothies and all were good. They also give you chips and Salsa. Overall food was great and will definitely stop by again if I'm around the area. So my husband purchased two burritos today the burritos were carne azada when he got home with the burritos the carne azada was dry seemed as if they had it pre cooked and just reheat it was like rubber they stuffed the burritos with beans and rice and a spoon of meat i was so mad but didnt call them . But my hands down to Nancy's Restaurant....Took my mom and son for breakfast and they enjoyed their food. We were surprised to see they had fresh "Bunuelos" these are hard to find. I don't understand why this place has 4+ stars... I've been bugging my coworkers that we should try this on our lunch break one of these days, and in Yelp I trusted for a great 4 star plus meal. My coworkers said the reason they don't go there is because there's never anyone there. I should have listened to them, as we were disappointed... Coworker 1: "The salsa tastes and looks like it came out of a can." "This would be a good place for old people to eat, as everything is bland." Coworker 2: "The chicken in these fajitas is dry, like it's been microwaved one too many times." "I've eaten chicken fajitas many other places, and even the supermarket ones are better than this." I tried to keep an open mind. After all, it was my idea to go there. All in all, I had to concede that the salsa did seem lacking in flavor and texture, and my chili relleno was unremarkable. At best, this could be a 3 star place. It was OK. It definitely is a hole in the wall place, with crusty decor to match. The floors near the ordering counter were sticky. The one big plus was that the service was prompt, attentive, and very friendly. Yelp, and Nancy, my how you've let me down! I think I've lost all new-restaurant-choosing-stock w/ my coworkers.. =-[ I think we'll likely be sticking w/ our regular place, Burrito Express. PS. Although the Yelp name of the restaurant is "Nancy's Restaurant," the signs on the building and in front of the place say "Nancy's #2." I go here for Menudo or breakfast burritos which are so good. Tortillas are made by hand and they give good amount of Munedo for about two people. Also breakfast burritos are good and yiu just let them know what you want inside. read more
