    Hogg fries info.
    Tanis L.

Nancy Jo's (burger and fries chain founded/opened in 2012 in Oregon) in Keizer, Oregon, was my last food stop in Oregon on a day trip on Thursday 19 October 2023. I was getting a bit full, and decided to go with the Hogg fries as they sounded good and I had yet to find loaded fries I was really a fan of. Arriving in the early afternoon, there were a couple of other customers waiting for their order. I was briefly the only customer in the restaurant before a few other people/groups arrived. Placing my order was a walk up to the counter and place my order and pay style. When the order was ready, I went and picked it up. A cook/chef was visible from the front counter. The workers were clear and concise in our interactions. For dining, I went with a high top table facing a television that was playing "Mrs. Doubtfire" (a 1993 film) with captions on. The fries were delicious and the fries were a bigger, but not so big to be a streak fry, size with skins still on the fry tips (I like fries with some skin still on). Atop the fries was cheese, burger sauce, fresh cooked bacon pieces (not crumbles), and slices of caramelized onions. It was absolutely delicious. The quality of the ingredients really radiated and I could taste everything. The burger sauce had a stronger flavor. I finished about half the order in-restaurant and took the other half with me. At the Gee Creek Safety Rest Area in Ridgefield, Washington State, I finished the second half of the order. They were still excellent, perhaps even better, cooled down. My taste buds had recovered from flavor fatigue (my taste buds can get tired if I eat a lot) a bit and I was pleased to find the fries tasted even better with my taste buds rebounding.

Been wanting to try this place for a while. Can by for lunch at like 1:30pm, places pres for burger and fries and shake. Well oh my it was almost $16.00.. the wait was about 20 minutes, at least they made my shake while I stood there and I had that to drink while waiting for my food. The shake was yummy and the Frieda where great but the burger was not great. I only eat about 3/4 of and threw it out. And had more fries. They give about what seems like 3lbs of fries. So it seems that maybe they should give you less fries and increase the quality of the burger. So unless I just want fries and a shake I prob will not make it back.

First time here... loved it!!! Loved that all burger toppings (except cheese and bacon) come free. I got grilled mushrooms and grilled onions on a Beyond burger lots of sauce too... so good. My husband got a beef patty and also liked his. Vegetarian friendly. The large fries came in a huge bag that my husband and I shared. We had extra despite sharing the bag. And they had free fry sauce too! Definitely will be back.

Was waiting in line when a customer comes in behind me, and gets waited on BEFORE me. I mentioned it to the cashier and she shrugged me off and said he was there for pick up. As if that matters. Why couldn't the customer who came in AFTER me wait until I placed my order THEN pick his food up. If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. Will not be retuning. Someone should teach the employees here basic customer service. Going to #FiveGuys instead! You just lost a customer Nancy Jo's.

    Large order of fries.

Messed up our order more than once the last time they barely a single cup of fries when we ordered a large fries. Part of me feels like a retaliation from the cooks when I showed up about 15 minutes or early to pick up my order. when I asked if my order was ready they said " I should know better than to ask" good luck trying to reach anybody in management they will not return their Facebook messages or phone calls. No corporate email no way to reach anybody any any kind of management position. I was a huge fan of this place when it first opened and left good reviews and spoke highly of them. All during the pandemic and closure of businesses we would continue to order out from there every other week. I would now recommend ordering from five guys Nobel waves or any other place to get your burger. If you go to the local food eating Facebook groups many people have had the same problem

Good meal much like the 5 Guys with better fries. Reasonable prices and satisfying. Paper Bags

Burger was dry as hell and the fries are greasy and tasted uncooked in the center . I will never patronize this establishment ever again.

I've only been here 3 times, as I live about a 45-minute drive away, but this was the first In-N-Out location I ever went to. I've gotten a Double Double & animal fries each time; I'm definitely a fan of their burgers, and while their fries aren't my favorite, they aren't bad, and I think their animal-style fries are still tasty. This location still has long lines (at least at the drive-thru) since they opened, but these days, if you go outside of peak times, you can get through fairly quickly. I went once at around 11:45AM and then at opening (10:30) and got my food within about 10 minutes both times. In-N-Out customer service is always great, too. In the times I've been there, their employees are friendly and give you service with a smile - I believe it must be part of In-N-Out's training and company culture.

Came in today at 8:10 like usual. Immediately told half their menu was, surprise surprise, not available, and that we could not dine in despite being open for another 50 minutes. Everything went about as usual until my daughter asked if she could get a refill, like she has multiple times before, while we were waiting on the food. The girl running the register, who somehow managed to get our 2-item order wrong three times while taking it, refused to allow her a refill. When I asked why not, she stated it was store policy that refills were only allowed for guests dining in. When I pointed out that she was not allowing us to dine in, she smuggly replied "that is correct." Rather than demand a manager, who presumably wadn't present since it was only the two teenagers running the kitchen and register, we've decided this will just be our last trip and advise all of you other yelpers of the substandard service this place has made a practice of providing.

The chicken fingers are huge, much larger than the usual size you get in other places. The serving of fries is also huge. The drink that comes with the combo is small. Diminutive, even. It was too much food for me, but I didn't know how big the chicken fingers are here, because I had never eaten here before. Same with the fries. Two of me (and I'm not a small guy) would have been happy with what I ordered. I ordered Cajun sauce to go with my chicken and that was a terrible mistake. I am from New Orleans, so as you might imagine, I've eaten a lot of Cajun food in my life, and the sauce did not resemble anything Cajun I've ever had. I daresay it tasted more like Mexican hot sauce than anything else, but mostly, it just tasted bad. And not that hot, either. I went back up to the register and paid for another two containers of sauce, and this time the selection was more mainstream, that is, honey barbecue. Which was good. Not great, but, you know, good. The dining area is very basic, very spartan, some inexpensive chairs and tables and a muted flat-screen TV (with closed-caption) on the wall. The single staff person at the register was very solicitous, too much so, frankly. Cloyingly nice, almost to the point of being obsequious. But perhaps I am just too jaded and cynical, other people may love the immediate high level of friendliness and familiarity. Country music was playing loudly while I was eating. After a while I realised that it was not actually country music, but rather, Christian pop music. If you're on the Pepsi side of The Great Soda Schism, you'll be happy here. If you're on the Coke side, you're not going to be happy. I like Coca-Cola, so I ordered a lemonade, which turned out to be not lemonade, really, but water with almost no lemon taste in it. It came out of the dispenser, so maybe the tank was almost empty or something, I don't know. It was water with the faintest taste of lemon. That's what I got for a drink. There are a great many restaurants that do wonderful things with a chicken. The chicken-lover landscape offers up an embarrassment of riches. With that in mind, I think I'd pick another spot for fried chicken. Not because the chicken was bad (it was not), but other things about the place were not particularly appealing to me, and it's not as if the main drawing card here (which is the bird) is so completely fantastic that you brush all the shortcomings aside. The chicken isn't that good, you know? It's good, but not so good as to make you forget about everything else.

Why would you sell a traditional Philly Cheesesteak and not have ketchup on hand? I'm not talking about the Chicken Cheesesteak, I'm talking about the original Philly Cheesesteak served with beef, cheese, peppers, onions and garnished with KETCHUP. How can you not have ketchup and sell cheesesteaks? It's analogous to ordering pancakes at a pancake house chain and then being told that they don't offer syrup at that restaurant. That would be crazy, wouldn't it? Fortunately, we had some extra packets of ketchup in the car, left over from the last big food run to McDonald's. Really, though, this location needs to get on top of that whole ketchup issue ASAP. The review should have been 5 stars because the cheesesteak was perfect.

Later that evening, after dinner at a family member's home, someone suggested Dairy Queen for dessert. We learned it was only about a mile down the road, so we offered to run out and pick it up. The order included a large hot fudge sundae, a medium caramel sundae with pecans, and a small Oreo Blizzard with extra Oreo. When we pulled in, the drive-through line was about six cars deep. It moved at a reasonable pace, and we were able to place our order without any issues. At the pickup window, we were handed our items but had to ask for a carrier. After pulling away, we noticed that the two sundaes appeared to be the same size. We're not entirely sure if sundaes actually come in different sizes, and nothing was mentioned at the time we placed the order. We also realized the caramel sundae did not include any pecans, and there was no comment about that omission. We were provided spoons, but no napkins. Since we didn't ask for a receipt, there was no easy way to confirm whether the order had been entered correctly. In the end, everyone enjoyed their dessert, and no one felt it was worth turning back. We chalked it up to a fairly typical fast-food experience, nothing exceptional, but satisfactory enough for a quick and convenient treat. Looking back, it's a little sad that lowered expectations for fast food have become the norm.
