I was there at noon, perhaps one of the busiest times of the day. I was impressed with how efficient the drive through was. The staff was very cordial and efficient. The waffle cut fries were very good. The jalapeño ranch club with original fillet was not. The chicken was overcooked, dry and tasteless. Not even the jalapeño ranch sauce could save it. If there is a next time perhaps I'll try the spicy fillet. My opinion at this point is that it is a chicken version of In and Out Burger, overhyped and nowhere near top of the line for fast food. I made the mistake of ordering a breakfast bowl a half hour before change over to lunch on their app. There was traffic due to construction, but I got to the restaurant with 10 minutes to spare. But the drive-thru line had a guy taking orders instead of allowing customers to use the drive thru menu. It took him 15 minutes to take the orders of two cars!!! By the time it was my turn to pick up my order, they refused to fulfill it because breakfast was over! And I was scolded by the manager for using drive thru! The old saying that "the third time's the charm" applies for my Chick-fil-A experiences. I've decided I need to eat in the dining room to get the best experience, and order the Spicy Deluxe Sandwich -- the first CFA experience was from their mobile food truck, and the second was a to go order from the Clackamas location; and both were disappointing compared to today's visit to the Keizer location. Getting the Spicy Deluxe added lettuce and tomatoes, which made for a more complete sandwich compared to their normal bare-bones patty, bun, and pickles. I also added Sweet & Spicy Chipotle sauce, as the standard spice level isn't quite enough for me. Eating in the dining room made for a crispier coating on the chicken, too. (But for the chicken itself, I still prefer Popeye's). The waffle fries I had tasted good, and were well seasoned, but could have been a little more golden brown on the exterior. They were just okay. I must say that the actual dining room experience was the best I've had in a fast food chain. Most fast food interiors are designed for durability, so they are noisy and echoey. The materials and acoustic treatments used in the CFA dining room created a much more hushed dining experience, and the furnishings were comfortable. The fact that they bring the food out to your table is also nice. One thing I do find annoying is the use of styrofoam cups for their drinks. Come on, CFA; this is 2023! So the drive up looked so backed up, however our order was taken from far away and we were only in line for about 6 minutes. I will say this is pretty impressive because Atleast 15 cars were ahead of us. My boyfriend ordered a meal and I just ordered a large fry. I had a morning appointment in Keizer. So a breakfast visit to Chick-fil-A was in order. I was here a couple of months ago for dinner just after it opened. Today was my first visit since then. The ample dining area and drive-in lanes were surprisingly empty. At first, I thought they were closed for the morning. I walked in and ordered a spicy chicken biscuit with hashbrown rounds and coffee. The service was friendly and efficient. And in a few minutes, I was on my way to my appointment. The spicy chicken is a winner, perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The biscuit was warm and had the right buttery crisp on the outside. I stopped in around 5 ish on a Friday, I almost didn't thinking the line was going to be just insane. I lucked out. It was medium long. I have been to several Chick-fil-A's so I knew they would have the line moving fairly fast. I pulled right up to the people who take your order. For those who do not know, they have people standing outside working hard to ensure you get your order right, and they take your order at your window in person. I already knew what I wanted, I was starving from a long stressful day, so I made it simple, nuggets, and a cup of fruit. I already had a drink. When I pulled up they had my order ready, and I was able to pull out super fast. I think I devoured the nuggets with the honey mustard sauce before I even left the driveway I was so hungry. They were so delicious. I wish they would put one Eugene, Springfield, Albany, or even Cottage Grove. Any of those places so they are closer driving distance than Salem for me, as I am from the surrounding Eugene area. I didn't specifically drive up for the food on this day, all though on any given day with the right hankering for their food I would, and besides, My family members live in Salem. So that would be a bonus getting to visit them. I do like more than just the nuggets, but they are my go to's. It always depends on my mood. The sandwiches are pretty good, you really can't go wrong with pretty much anything on the menu. Their special Chic-fil-A sauce is really good if you have not tried it, but my go to is always the honey mustard, and not just here. Well done staff.
