The Philly Cheesesteak was prepared perfectly. Perfect! And there was no wait. No ketchup to be had in the store, though. Seems insane. Why would you sell a traditional Philly Cheesesteak and not have ketchup on hand? I'm not talking about the Chicken Cheesesteak, I'm talking about the original Philly Cheesesteak served with beef, cheese, peppers, onions and garnished with KETCHUP. How can you not have ketchup and sell cheesesteaks? It's analogous to ordering pancakes at a pancake house chain and then being told that they don't offer syrup at that restaurant. That would be crazy, wouldn't it? Fortunately, we had some extra packets of ketchup in the car, left over from the last big food run to McDonald's. I came into Jersey Mike's at 7:45pm on 3/23 and was told they were "out of bread" and could only make wraps. That would've been fine except I could clearly see bread sitting on the rack behind them. As I'm walking out, I literally watch an employee grab that same "nonexistent" bread and make himself a sandwich. So apparently they're not out of bread, they just didn't feel like serving customers and now I'm pissed lol. I ended up ordering through the app anyway, and surprise, they suddenly had bread. This wasn't a mistake, it was straight up dishonest and unprofessional. If you're going to refuse service, at least be honest about it. read more

First and last visit to Jersey Mike's. The customer service was terrible - the two workers who prepared our food had horrible attitudes. They gave sass to both my mother and I throughout the entire experience. I have worked in food service the last four years, so I felt as though I had to make a Yelp account to make my first review in order to inform the owner that customers like me are probably being lost every day. I asked for extra lettuce and extra  Peppercini's *He sighed like it was a hassle to ask for extra toppings* I then asked for mayonnaise on the top and he said with an attitude *they all come with it* When he wrapped 2 of the sandwiches he stuck those in a bag, then when he wrapped mine he just handed it to me assuming I was going to just eat it there. **Training Needed** I watched this man with the lady before us and when she requested for mayonnaise he did not say anything like he was ignoring her. I could tell it made her feel embarrassed about even asking. But what I do not appreciate is the fact that they way you handled this situation was with excuses about being short handed 5 people, and nodding your head with the look of *Omg I cannot handle this right now* I also felt a little rushed in trying to convey my experience to her. Other then that she was great at listening and taking the appropriate action in making me feel like she truly wanted to make my experience as best as she could. So thank you I completely understand how it feels to be short handed. *I worked on New Years Eve by myself at Jack in the box, doing the front and drive through orders, along with making the food on the grill and the food on the fryers. I did not ask for or imply I wanted the refund nor money back for the experience we recieved, but I do thank you for doing it and giving us 3 sandwich vouchers. So because you took action to try your best to fix this experience I am doing a 3 star review and will be willing to definitely come back and see if I get a better experience next time. In all Honesty with a little bit more of the RIGHT training Tiffany would be an exceptional manager. Went to the Bank of America ATM out front of Jersey Mike's yesterday (Saturday 8/4/18) and a girl behind me walked into the Jersey Mike's to get a sandwich. The door was unlocked so she walked right in. The employee started yelling at her to leave as "he was alone" and shoo'ed her out. He actually yelled at her like it was her fault she wanted to come eat a sandwich there when in reality it was his fault he didn't lock the door behind him as he was setting up to open. I took notice because he was really cruel and mean to her and she almost left crying. I flat out told her to goto Keizer Sub Shop and never come back. I know I won't eat here, that was cruel and whoever the opener was they need to be FIRED. Totally unacceptable, I won't stand for that type of behavior and I think others should take their business elsewhere too. Please Jersey Mike's managers, read this and take note. Look at your schedule and find out who the opener was on 8/4/18 and give them a piece of your mind if not the heel of your boot. Update: July 9th, 2020 ---Well sadly now you have made me change my rating on you. The past 2 times - one including tonight - when ordering I have put in comments for my order asking that the onions and peppers be chopped finely - you say you always read the comments well that's not happening. I'm really disappointed and the service is going down hill at this location. It's like you have employees who really don't care about your customers anymore. ---------------------------------- In the past 3 months we have been to the Keizer location about 4-5 times. We have always had excellent service and their Famous Philly is the best I've found in the area. The management and employees are always friendly and pleasant. Brand new restaurant and since we got a lot of promotional coupons in the mail, we decided to check it out. On the evening we went, it was quite busy (guess everybody else was using their coupons too ) but they had a full line up of employees, so the line moved smoothly. The sandwiches were good. I'm more accustomed to the Subway type sub sandwich (where you pick what you want on your sandwich) but the bread was fresh & the other ingredients tasty. Not necessarily a standout from other sub sandwiches in town, but edible and filling. We still have coupons & will go back as long as the coupons hold out. They offer some great deals to bring in customers. But the prices here are on the spendy side for simple sandwiches. I am glad I am not the only one who noticed how unsanitary this establishment was. Their standard practice of taking your order above the meat cooler that everyone talks and coughs all over and then immediately starts cutting your meat into the same glove that was all over the dirty meat cooler is just gross. Also your sandwich is slid down a counter that is covered in food and meat pieces that look like they have been there all day. Updated review: after leaving a review of my bad experience. I was contact within 24 hours, and was able to explain what had happened. I was apologized too and I feel very happy with how it was handled. Most places do not reach out trying to understand the problem, and to fix them for future customers. Thank you. Shocking. I tried this location after I tried the West Salem one thinking the service had to be better. Nope. Four people behind the counter. Three people touched the sandwich. I paid before the sandwich was made and then that girl walked off to the bathroom without even acknowledging the gentleman behind me who appeared to have ordered online and was just picking up. There was food strewn across the counters. Meat shavings all over. Now for a vegetarian who ordered the veggie sandwich to have the bread cut and thrown, yes thrown down amongst discarded meat shavings...gross. The person before the person who made my sandwich walked away and didn't clean up after the mess she'd made. When my sandwich was made it was put down on a counter that was not where sandwiches are prepared and with out the wrapper down. Needles to say about fort five minutes after eating the sandwich I had horrific indigestion and ended up on the toilet. Customer service and lack of cleanliness. Jersey Mike's seems alot like subway but overpriced. You could see the low quality meat through the glass so I am not sure why the prices are so high. The worker who made my sandwich went from slicing meat to using a pen and paper and then back to slicing meat WITHOUT changing their gloves. Gross! Used to really love this shop, my wife and I ordered 2 subs during an ice storm when we had no power so we were hungry. Left to go pick it up and waited in the store for 30minutes. No one came up to me to ask why I was waiting, somewhat understandable since they were very busy. Found out they were out of food, so decided our order was not going to be fulfilled and left to find other food, generally forgivable. Found out they had called and never left a message. Order was still processed and paid even though we never received the food. I called a couple of days later when I found out to get the charge reimbursed. Was told on the phone it would take 4 to 5 days... sure weird but no problem. 2 weeks later the charge is still there so, enjoy the huge undeserved tip and thanks for screwing us, we wont be back again.
