This location is very stingy with the chicken portions. Ordered a medium bowl and asked it be put into a large bowl so you can mix the sauce and also ordered a large bowl. The portions were identical and we got approximately 6 little cubes of chicken. read more

Staff was very nice and helpful. Nice bowls but they also have quesadillas and salads. I haven't tried the other options, but wanted something a bit more nutritious with fiber. They have ready made bowls, but you can customize with protein and toppings if you prefer. There's 3 different sizes. I do agree the bowls are a little on the pricier end for the portions. I got medium bowl with grilled chicken. Hot n jazzy comes with Jasmine rice, beans, salsa and their deluxe toppings. Deluxe toppings: cheddar cheese, black olives, sliced avocado, sour cream, diced tomatoes, cilantro. $14 for the medium bowl with grilled chicken. They are the biggest ripoff I've ever seen. I asked for a large bowl and there was literally seven little cubes of chicken. I don't know what it taste like because there was only maybe 3/4 of a cup of rice and they charged me $16 for this joke. So I returned it. The staff is sweet and agreed it's a joke. They said they are forced to use a little scoop. The large bowl was the size of a cup of soup from Panera to give you some idea. And the chicken was not cooked fresh. Stopped at Cafe Yumm on a road trip back to the Bay Area from Seattle. I was looking for something a bit more nutritious than the burgers and pizza along I-5. While I enjoyed the Original bowl I ordered (brown rice, housemade tahini sauce, black beans, diced tomatoes, avocados), I'm not sure that I would say that it's worth the value of $8.95 because the portion size is so compact. The frontline staff were very kind and polite, but service was pretty slow (stood in line for longer than I would have liked, waited for my order to be ready for longer than I would have liked). This place is definitely great for convenient and healthier food than the nearby options (Panda Express, McDonalds) but not a place I'd go out of my way to patronize. read more

Dude that took care of me was great. I've had Cafe Yumm before, usually up in Wilsonville or at PDX. I enjoyed the taste of the meal and appreciate the vegan option. But, wow, what a terrible value. Really over the top. My bowl and 15% tip came to $18.91. I've been eating for years, :) , and my meal was not worth anything close to what I paid. Twelve bucks for the bowl and tip, max. And I ate a granola bar after because I was still hungry. I assume they gave me the correct sized bowl. I do wonder if they charged me for double tofu and I only got a single serving. I ordered through GrubHub, picked it up. Until now (just had it explained to me), I did not know you pay 20% more for ordering through GrubHub, even for takeout. That's ridiculous. I can understand that for delivery, but for placing a fast food order that you're picking up? I would have just gone to the restaurant. Or gone elsewhere. That'll be the future plan. Lost a customer here. In addition to my meal being insanely over-priced, there was not much tofu in my bowl. I was disappointed about that. Maybe six small cubes. Possibly seven, def no more. If that was a double order of tofu then that's the most ridiculous thing I've encountered today, and I encounter a lot of stuff. I'm pretty sure GrubHub charged me for two orders of tofu and I only got one. The receipt on my bowl does not indicate double tofu, and you could have easily piled the tofu onto a tablespoon. It wasn't $5 worth of tofu. More like 75 cents worth. Addendum: Yeah I just went thru the process of "ordering" thru Grubhub versus the Cafe Yumm website and the same exact order cost $2.50 more through Grubhub. That's f'ed up. Screw that, never again, and I'll look askance at merchants that use GrubHub. They are making us pay so we can buy from them? Ridiculous. Even if they are paying GrubHub as well. For a to-go order, perhaps a 5% fee by the merchant and the customer, as it's making everyone's life a little easier. 20% for forwarding a to-go order....highway robbery, and the merchants are complicit. The consumer should be advised of the 20% surcharge. And why did I leave a f'n tip? GrubHub did the ordering. Well, actually I did the ordering. I was just being nice when I left a tip. So, I paid an extra 35% in service fees (20% for GrubHub and 15% for the Cafe Yumm staff or whoever gets the tip), that I now absolutely resent. But, now, I'm smarter. And I'll remember. It really chaps me that the GrubHub fee for this is hidden away among the food prices rather than then being honest and informing you of the fees. Before this, I had never gotten the large bowl. I had anticipated that for over $16 I would have received more food. I expected $16 worth of food. Nope. $11.95 for the bowl and the single order of tofu, like on the Cafe Yumm website, would have been OK, but I was charged $16.45, plus the 15% tip! Not cool. Not OK. So, yeah, a significantly disappointing experience. I'll be hard pressed to visit Cafe Yumm again. I'd accept a refund for the tofu that I did not get (at the GrubHub rates) as well as the 15% tip (who even got that?), but I don't know how to go about asking. Will just be POed instead. Maybe I can call my credit card company and file a dispute over the tip and the tofu just to make a point, but that sounds like too much work. Yelp put me in this position so I'll just vent here about the bad experience. But in my dream world I'd get comped for all of the GrubHub fees, as that s**t's ridiculous. $2.50 out of my pocket to place a fast food order through an app on my phone? Dumb. Fooled me once..... I'll just consider that as the price of my education and will be happy I found out here rather than at a more expensive venue. And it was just food for one. You can't trust anyone. There's always a catch, and always someone out to take advantage. It's better to just cook for yourself. read more

Decided to try this place after a few friends raved about their fresh ingredients and addictive Yumm sauce. They even sell their famous sauce by the (rather large) bottle for $15. This location has a drive-thru, which is super convenient, especially during our current covid restrictions. You can order online, pay and schedule a pickup time! We ordered three of the medium original Yumm bowls ($7.95 each). We added chicken to each of the bowls as well, for an additional $2 each. We also ordered cookies, chocolate chip and ginger, all chocolate dipped ($3.50 each). So here's where it gets disappointing, for me anyway...I was absolutely disgusted by the Yumm sauce. I haven't tasted anything like it before. It was super tangy, and not in a good way. I read the ingredients online and noticed 'nutritional yeast' listed. Since that was the only ingredient unfamiliar to me, I assume that's what I don't like. The ingredients in the bowl...chicken, rice, beans, avacado, sour cream, etc was very fresh and delicious, but I couldn't get passed the awful sauce. I realize, after reading many reviews, that I am in the minority, hence my 4 star review. I can't fault them for my personal taste. On the other hand, I was extremely impressed by their chocolate chip cookie dipped in Euphoria chocolate...so yummy! Overall I really liked this establishment. They're friendly, helpful, efficient, and have fresh ingredients. I would just suggest maybe getting their sauce on the side, if you haven't eaten there before. First time trying this chain. Wasn't a fan. I used the drive-through. Ordered a wrap so I could eat and drive. The wrap wasn't even wrapped. The oil sauce they had in the wrap ended up all over me. The beans are often undercooked. They have difficulty getting the orders correct. Considering what you pay for what you get one would think they could teach their stuff how to get the orders correct. Delicious, and health conscious food! I hadn't been before but my wife had tried it @ PDX, and we saw there was one at Keizer Station, so we had to check it out. I've been back twice already. :) I had the Original Bowl with chicken and it was a delight! Lots of flavors and textures that went together perfectly. Their cookies were also amazing - the ginger and the oatmeal cookies are both gluten free. I so often am disappointed with gluten free (or concious) options, but these were excellent. Chewy in the middle with a nice crunchy crust. Highly recommend! The staff were also super friendly, helpful, and efficient. Got my food and was on the road in no time. read more

My number one favorite place to eat! If I could eat here every meal of every day ha! I WOULD! Truly obsessed! I wish the one out on commercial worked like these workers at Keizer station. My bowls are always full and beautiful to look at and fun to shake up to devour within minutes! Out on commercial my bowls always seem to have much less food. And usually there is something different missing from each bowl. And it seems the more bowls I order the less food they put in each bowl. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM with Keizer station! I love their fast and friendly service and for fast food this is my go to healthy choice in our area with limited cheaper options not that I'm saying cafe yum is cheap to have on a daily basis by any means..My go to is the hot and jazzy bowl which you can have any of them served up in a box which is helpful to mix if your eating soon after and ask for multiple sauces because they tend to be a third filled containers. All in all I eat here almost weekly now and was surprised to be such a regular because back when I got off of keto I never thought I would like this place but they proved me wrong. read more

Visited for my first time today at 4:30. Upon entering the Drive thru I was greeted promptly. I informed her it was my first time and she welcomed me and offered to answer any questions and told me to take my time. If you've never been here before it is a gem if you have one near you. 50% of their ingredients are organic and they appeal to meat eaters, vegan and vegetarian alike! Have never heard of a bento, and she explained what it was. I love the concept. I ordered the chicken bento with Jasmine rice. She explained what the yumm sauce was. Delivery was executed with care and integrity. She gave me a to go menu, definitely gonna keep it in my car :) Upon eating I loved the Jasmine rice. It was aromatic and cooked to a perfect sticky consistency. The yumm sauce was very good but my favorite was a lighter color sauce that was almost like a peanut sauce. The chicken was the bombdotcom. No gristle parts and tasted fresh. I was a total noob and ate the chicken and rice first with the teriyaki and yumm sauce and then ate the coleslaw with the peanut sauce. Not sure if you are supposed to mix them or eat separately haha but overall it was delicious and I will eat there again. My first time here. What a great surprise! The food ( I had the baby yumm bowl) was great. The Thai rice was so good, the chicken was seasoned really well. Even though it was white meat, it wasn't overly dry. BUT the most important thing was the service. Amazingly good. Our order taker was knowledgeable, she had worked in the kitchen and knew what to suggest for a first-time guest. The guy who brought our food was great! He knew about the sauces, offered to get me a fork (I got you!) and when I bought some sauce to take home, he offered to put it in a bag with ice because it would be in the hot car too long. Like it was from yesterday and just thrown on top. Hopefully that's a one off. Update. Since opening I have been stopping by for my yumm bowls at least twice a week. I always order the same thing. The chicken is always cold. Like it was grabbed out of the fridge and thrown on top of the bowl. Today I called and asked for the manager and got hung up on...called back finally got thru to the manager "Shawn" he offered me a free bowl and even to make it next time. I used to live in Eugene where I was introduced to Cafe Yumm. I was disappointed when I moved to Salem and there was none up here. Then a few years ago one opened up out south Salem but that is a long drive for me so I never made it out there. I was so excited when one opened in Keizer Station! Finally made my way over there and got me a Large Jazzy. I LOVE their Yumm sauce and bought a big bottle of it for use at home. Already ate it all and need to buy another, up until now I had to buy the little jars at Roths. I love making Yumm bowls at home, so easy to make but not quite exactly like they do at the restaurant.
