It was extremely noisy and that is something I didn't expect. People were carrying on so loud and the music was fairly loud also. We couldn't even hear our waitress and we had to ask her several times to repeat what she said because we simply couldn't hear her. I couldn't even talk to my wife during lunch over the noise. When we walked in, a young lady, told us to sit at one of the round tables along the window. When we got there and sat down another waitress came along and told us that this table was reserved for large parties and we needed to move to a regular table, a smaller table. I didn't really mind moving, but we had just done what the lady told us to do. It really was more the second waitress's attitude, and the way she spoke to us that was irritating and completely unnecessary as no large groups ever came and sat at the larger tables. We have every intention of trying Jensen's again in the evening. Hopefully the noise level will be less severe with the evening crowd. The food is definitely worth the trip. It is excellent. The food for the man and two kids came out just after mine but the food for the big group didn't arrive until I was paying my bill. Not sure if they asked for the food to be delayed or if the kitchen was having issues getting everything cooked but it certainly seems like the kitchen is not in a hurry to get orders done and out. Each time, I'm told that it is unusual or given a reason why it happened, but after experiencing the same issue repeatedly, it no longer feels like an occasional problem. Even when they have been able to make my drink, the quality has been disappointing. Some drinks have tasted watery, while others have had a noticeably sour espresso taste, as though the shot was not pulled correctly. I have continued returning because I enjoy the restaurant and really wanted to give the coffee side a fair chance, but after seven or eight disappointing experiences, I cannot recommend it for coffee. I hope they are able to improve the consistency and keep the necessary ingredients stocked because the restaurant itself has so much potential. :(
