So let me preface this review of the food was great! As you can tell from the appetizer pics, I ate first then thought about the review! Appetizers Ahi tuna- love it, order it every time we dine at this wonderful restaurant. Mix the wasabi and soy sauce and get to town on the seared tuna. Fried green tomatoes- fried to perfection, a southern delicacy! These fried green tomatoes were perfect. Lightly battered paired a creamy remoulade sauce. Entrees! Aged ribeye- my aged ribeye was cooked perfectly medium. Had great seasoning on it. I was Surprised at how tender it was. Overall, a great steak. I continued with a side salad and another southern delicacy of fried squash. Both were really good. I love some fried squash. My wife ordered the salmon entrée- It had a pink pineapple relish on top of it. She would not let me take a bite, I'm assuming that meant it was very good! The only negative about the whole experience was the temperature of the restaurant. It's an older building and when it's 100° outside, it's hot inside. There were four of us for early dinner. My husband loved his chicken fried steak dinner. I got the sandwich. I was not so impressed with it. My chicken fried steak had to much gristle to eat. I finally gave up. Our waitress was very good and the wait time was not bad. read more

We enjoyed the Ruben and French dip sandwiches for lunch with onion rings and sweet potato fries. The service was quick and the atmosphere was fun and laid back. This restaurant refused service to someone with a legitimate, well indicated service dog that has been specially trained, very calm and professional, and provides a significant amount of tasks. Their excuse was since they were a private business that they didn't have to follow ADA regulations. Incorrect. It is not difficult to tell that the handler needs her service dog. Bella, the service dog, is one of the best and calmest dogs, and has a small social media following, and has recently made a full recovery from a knee replacement. If there was a way to give a restaurant a zero, they would get a zero. read more

This is a little hidden gem that unless you heard of it you wouldn't know about it since it's a few miles south of downtown Conway. It's quirky, fun and the food is amazingly good. Did I mention a full service bar, music and friendly wait staff!! It's in an old converted gas station and other uses before it morphed into "Taylor's Made Cafe", a true gem of a restaurant. Food is above average in its prep and taste. Menu is varied and fish is phenomenal whether it's fried catfish, grilled salmon or tuna. Don't judge a book by its cover should be used when going first tile. Outside is ho hum but your going for the food and not being able to find a place to park should tell you the food and fun inside was worth the hunt. Inside is comfortable, clean and always packed but service is fast and friendly and food is prompt. Have fun, we did. Weekends are music nights so very busy. read more

At Taylor's Made Cafe, they keep that old southern cooking ALIVE! They've got tall boys for the dads, chicken tenders for the kiddos, a little something for everybody! Great environment, open space. My wife and I came here on a Saturday night. 1st time so we didn't know what to expect. When we came through the door and into the tiny dining area, we stood there awkwardly for a moment before one of the waitresses told us we could sit wherever. The table that was immediately to our left at the entrance still had glasses on it as did a couple other empty tables which left us with choosing a table set up for 6. No other option left really unless I had bussed a table for them. We poked our head into what I think might actually be the smallest bar I've ever seen. Now what I found odd and off-putting right off the bat was that they had live music in the corner of this very small restaurant. Don't get me wrong, the musician was great, but for that small of a space? We almost had to shout our order to our waitress because the place was so loud. Between the guy playing music and singing and all the people trying to carry on conversations over the music, I could barely hear myself think. Another strange thing you couldn't miss was the Men's and Women's restrooms smack dab in the main dining area....better hope Ol' Big Bob doesn't carry out the odor of that brown bomb he just dropped. The food was actually decent for the most part. Wife & I both had the Grilled Shrimp. My sides were Fries & Corn. Fries were great but the corn was clearly canned and not a good brand either. It was the brownest canned corn I think I'd ever seen. There was no seasoning or additional flavor to it, just canned corn heated in a bowl. My wife's sides were Fried Okra and Baked Potato. She said the Fried Okra had no seasoning whatsoever. The Shrimp was great, absolutely perfect. The service was on point and our waitress was great. My wife seemed to like the place but I'm just not a fan. This was the most terrible service I have ever experienced. We sat down and had to get our own menus. We waited 20 minutes to get our drinks ordered and another 30 minutes for our appetizer. The food was ok. I ordered a club and they put such thick meat on it I couldn't even eat it. There were flies EVERYWHERE. Solid 4 star cafe. I bumped them to 5 stars since they are a locally owned joint. Place is located on a highway between Mayflower and Conway. This is the place you would normally just drive right by, but that would be a mistake. Food is really good and the serve booze. I'm talking beer and a full bar. Kids menu had about 6 options (cheese burger, fist bites/sticks, grilled cheese, PB&J, hotdog, chicken tenders) We ordered; - Catfish plate (Ah-MAZ-ing!) with both sides as mashed potatoes and gravy that was delish! - turkey bacon wrap (toasted was nice surprise!) had a little kick to it. Very good. Got a side of fried squash that sounded amazing but was just ok, pretty bland for fried food. - fish bites that weren't that good. My son didn't like them. I understand Covid has added to the cost of things, but when did ice become a premium item? When stopping in for lunch last week, One of us ordered a hot entree. With my lunch I ordered an ice tea. There was very little ice in it. Before I had 1/2 of the drink down, the bit of ice was melted. I was left with tepid tea. Another bit of an issue was when we unwrapped our cutlery we only had a fork. Since when do we not need a fork AND knife to eat. For my lunch alone, with tax and tip was over $20.00. I honestly don't understand the reviews I've read by others for this food, other than the comment about the chicken fried steak being gross-that comment is 100% accurate. The French Dip, in my honest opinion, was the absolute worst French Dip I've eaten...that includes Arby's. The biggest disappointment was the onion rings. They were soaked in oil, soggy and falling apart. I literally only ate part of one of them.Finally, the corn was even bad.
