DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR TIME, MONEY & ENERGY!…read more We mistakenly used our positive experience when merely buying chemicals at the Bemister's Hudson, NH location, to decide we wanted to have our liner replaced by them as well. We were directed to the Salem location for this sale. 1. Timeline...dates of install, lack of appropriate lead time to secure water delivery, etc....this led to more expensive water due to lack of lead time. We were notified on a Friday to drain our 32,000 gallon pool ( ourselves ) and to personally secure water delivery at a specific time 3 business days later. Having already waited weeks, we did our best. 2. Wrong Liner design installed, "a simple mistake.. " per owner, Darren. Which would have been ok if there was an ounce of compassion or customer service coming from him. 3. Lawn Damage...serious damage done to lawn from van being driven on property. 4. Dangerous methods of install...one person in unsafe conditions. We personally had to watch over the lone installer to ensure his hydration, safety, etc and constantly monitor him for heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Basically working a shift for Bemisters and Pool Liner company, cleaning up vomit in the pool and monitoring for health issues. The night ended in calling 911 to have the worker safely taken to a hospital for heat related health issues. Darren was kept in the loop as the events of this evening took place. Again zero compassion or concern for the installer, he literally said "It wasn't my fault he got heat stroke" and "Well, didn't he come back after leaving the hospital the next day and get it done?" All I have to say is thank God he was with us that day. I hate to think would could have happened if he was out there alone. 5. Cost of liner...was told $1200 and it was $1300. 6. Lack of appropriate response to calls/texts throughout the ENTIRE process. First contact was just shy of a year ago. 7. Trash and old liner was left in our pool area. This liner project was quoted at over 10k after adding separate installation and water fees. Darren was quick to sell then quick to wash his hands on any responsibilities. Only in the very end did he make any attempts to remedy this situation- and even with that, his excuses are endless and his poor communication continued to the point that we just agreed to pay half the balance owed, keep the wrong liner and fix our grass ourselves instead of going through another round of chaos and losing a complete summer and being frustrated.

The service department here is very unreliable. They take days to call you back when you leave a…read moremessage and you have to leave a message because they never just answer the phone. Most times you have to call back and leave reminder messages. They or someone they go through installed a liner on our inground pool and probably a year later there are bumps all on the walls of the deep end and they won't call back or schedule anything to come take a look as to why it is all bumpy. They installed a motor and 2 years later it died. Come to find out, after having a different company service it the wire that was hooked up to it burnt it out. So instead at time of install suggesting getting the wire updated they just connected it knowing. When I called to see when the motor was installed I let them know I was having someone else service it their response was basically 'good luck to you'. I will continue to try and get them to do something about my liner seeing how they put it in but they have lost my business. No issues with the retail business though.

Did not come with a skimmer plate and was told it didn't need one. Water was drained below the lip. Not worth the money. If it's damaged it is not covered by the supplier/maker. Also told warranty does not cover defective material damage because they label all of it as "natural causes". Why have a warranty then. Had a tin pool that lasted over 20 years and it was your basic bottom of the line wall and liner. Should've stuck with that!

We've always had an inground pool, and there was one waiting here for us. Our pool(s) have tended to be a little more complex ( salt systems, build in floor cleaning jets, built in hot tub, etc ) and service can be pretty complicated. We've used 4 different companies to help us with the pool, from opening/closing to replacing pumps, actuators, etc. All have worked hard, and none of them would rate less than a 4 here on Yelp, but Empire has been head and shoulders above. Nicole makes and keeps to an aggressive schedule, the pool is opened and closed on time, and I can go in and ask questions whenever I need to. They've recently had to do some equipment replacement, and yet again, the scheduling was a breeze and the cost was very reasonable. I recommend Empire to my friends, so I'll do it to my extended Yelp community as well.
