This was my first visit to Namaste India. It was a Friday at 2:30pm. Despite the off-peak hour, a few tables were occupied. I was seated then ordered the Korma Chicken which came with white rice. I enjoyed my meal while listening to Indian tunes and watching mostly New Yorkers drive by. I never had this dish before and it was delicious. Extremely processed chicken, lacks flavor, filled with oil and tons of food coloring and was disappointing overall. Wish we had stopped at Trader Joe's instead as their Indian food is better. More flavor, healthier, less processed, and a lower cost for better food. Service: Was good in the sense that they were fast with order. Again I'm traveling and so I got food to go I was just driving back to my hotel and I saw this place and thought what the heck. I called in an order and it was about 25 minutes to get it prepared but when I pulled into the parking lot my first instinct was oh my gosh not too many cars but again it's a Monday night. The staff was very nice when I entered as well as when they took my order on the phone I got the goat and some parantha. Very nice size portion of the entree and I will say it first I thought there wasn't as much goat is there should have been but you need to dig around in there cuz there ended up being plenty probably more rice than needs be. So I ordered it between medium and spicy and they hit the nail on the head with that it was perfect spicy level the rice spice and Curry was fantastic blue flavored and I wish I had smell-a-vision because it was wonderful to smell. Impressive Indian food! My family and I really enjoyed our meal here! We ordered Paneer Makhni, Baigan Bartha, Malai Kofta and Aloo Gobi - our standard favorites. All the vegetables were delicious, each with its own distinct type of flavor and curry. Baigan Bartha was really well cooked, not too much oil and really flavorful. The rosemary naan was soooo good!!! I usually stick to lacha parantha (which my parents had- also good) but the rosemary naan was really well made!! We ordered an Amritsiri parantha as well, which in hindsight was too much food - this parantha was a dish in itself; thick and stuff with veggies! I'm baffled how this place is still in business. The good reviews are definitely fake! We came here after visiting a pumpkin patch nearby. The restaurant only had one table occupied yet it took them over an hour to bring our appetizers out. We should've left when they told us they didn't have various items available that day. We could hear all the commotion in the kitchen. This is clearly a family run business since a small kid was attending to customers because his family couldn't keep up. We hosted a retirement party in Namaste India. We had our own private party room and they had it nicely decorated. They supplied drinks and a buffet food. They gave us so many choices and the food was so delicious. There was so much left over that people happily took left overs home. The manger Rakish was so easy to work with from the beginning of planning to the very end of the party. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that enjoys Indian food and wants to host a party. read more

My friend recommended I eat here when I was in town. This food here is like a warm hug -- everything is flavorful and full of spices. I wouldn't describe any of the items I ordered as "spicy" (as in hot). But every bite was full of aroma. The toasted spices and aromatics also created a comfort food warmth. If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine then you should definitely try Namaste India. Went here by suggestion from a friend who's parents frequent this restaurant. And they said wonderful things about the food. So decided to grab dinner there with some friends. Not many customers but many people coming in and grabbing take out. I have never had Indian food and really wasn't sure what to try. Luckily one of my friends was familiar with the food and had recommendations of what to order. We ordered a bunch of dishes for all of us to share. We got garlic naan, paneer makhni, chicken makhni, lamb korma. I'm not much of a fan of spicy foods and so it was available to have the food be made mild. We had also ordered mango lassi to drink. The food was served altogether in small dishes. The food was delicious. Both the chicken and lamb were tender to eat and both the makhni and korma sauces were so flavorful. You just dip the crispy and garlicky naan in the sauces of the dish and it's like a flavor explosion. The makhni sauce was a creamy, buttery sauce. The korma sauce had more of a coconut and nutty flavor. The food was also served with a bowl of white rice and mixed with the korma and makhni and meat--it was delicious! We ended up here when we couldn't get a booking at our 'regular' Indian. A repurposed diner, it is very unassuming from the outside and the signs about hosting events put me off a bit. I was hesitant but I am so glad we went. We were warmly greeted and seated. Staff fussed over us to make sure we were happy, comfortable, and well fed. Dishes were delicious! We did the standard 'test' dishes we do at a new Indian: samosa or pakora, naan, palak paneer, a tandoori chicken, and a lamb Rogan Josh. We ordered a lentil dish as well. I came here for the weekend lunch buffet, reasonably priced at $12 plus tax and tip. The offerings were what you'd find at an Indian buffet. My personal favorites were the tandoori chicken and the garlic naan. The naan hit it out the park- warm, crispy, flavorful and good mix of the butter-garlic. The one waitress was very attentive to all parties and was very welcoming. I took a star off because the inside of the restaurant had a weird, construction like smell. Unfortunately, the roof caught on fire the day I came here, so I'm not sure if they've re-opened. If they have, definitely stop in and try it out! read more

We ordered chicken tikka masala, 2 chicken samosas and garlic naan. The chicken tika masala was watery with small cubes of a few pieces of chicken, no onions, and 2 tiny pieces of green peppers. It was tasty, but watery. The rice that came with it was in the smallest container. The samosas were cold and seemed like they were previously frozen. There were 2 small 1/2 circles of garlic naan. We've been looking to try this restaurant for a while now. We were hesitant to have our first taste be a take-out order but due to the current restrictions we took the leap and are very pleased. Their online ordering system was easy to navigate. The website gave us an estimated pick-up time as well as a confirmation email that the restaurant was working on our order. We couldn't speak more highly of the food. The lamb in the lamb korma and lamb rogan josh was deliciously tender and the chunks of meat pulled a part with a fork. The sauces were thick, creamy and full of flavor. The portion sizes were perfect- enough so you could finish it, but not too much to be over stuffed. Had a wonderful experience here. I went for myself but ended up buying for the whole family! The staff was very helpful and offered suggestions for the type of curry I was looking for. I got a very classic dish, the Chicken Tikka Masala. My mom and brother got a coconut curry shrimp dish (Goan Shrimp) and my dad got Seekh Kabob (spicy). Everyone loved their dishes. At first I thought portions were a little small, but by the time we had eaten everything, it turned out to be perfect. Someone was even kind enough to add some extra sauces (usually they come with the samosas but we asked if we could have some with our naan) to our takeout bag. The owner Mr. Rakesh and one of his frequent waitstaff Navi are a lot of fun and make great hosts. Had dinner there yesterday (Sunday) with a friend from Rajasthan who now lives in Jersey City. It is among the best Indian food I have had ever, in the top. The naan was fresh and crispy. The mild is still a bit spicy but tolerable even for me, who sadly can't tolerate spice anymore (crying emoji). The buffet has both vegetarian and meat items plus dessert. Well worth the price. I got a biryani and it was great, well seasoned with tender chicken and nuts. The portion was large and I brought some home. The chai masala was warm and good. I prefer more spice variety like clove and star anise, this one is heavy pepper only. Still yummy and hot the spot. It is in a diner so it seems a bit strange, but you can order off both menus. Bonus for those who want Indian and friends may want to try, but have a burger back up.
