Indo/Pak food done the right way. This is a rare place for this area. Great service. Authentic home -made dishes made daily and to order. Extensive selection and the chicken tikka kabab and any naan or kulcha you desire are made fresh to order! The prices are the most affordable anywhere around! You will be blown away at the overall value. Great for take out! Chicken tikka kabab is a must order and tastes better than any indian restaurand around by far! You will see just about everything they offer displayed in front of you as you walk in! Just order away and dont forget the naan and chicken tikka kabab. The biryani is pretty much perfect as well, and I order it everytime.

This is my favorite Indian food. I always get samosa Chaat from here when I'm visiting my parents in Rockland. And the price is good too!

Good food when owner is on site. The workers are scammers and unhygienic, the quality of food and service go downhill during owner absence

The chef is a master of his craft, given how he manages to get whole wheat this flat without stuffing breaking through.

I'll start off by saying that the food is excellent. If that is all you are looking for then this…read moreplace is fine. I'm sure the take out is great. Now on to the criticism... the service is not that great, we were seated and given menus, but we had to get our own utensils. This is not really a full service type of establishment, you pay at the register. They could use more efficient expediting, and then things would feel more welcoming. The second thing I was disappointed with, was one of the reasons we came here was for the Masala Dosa. They started off by saying no Dosa and no Biriyani available. We saw a couple walk out because there was no Dosa. We improvised our order to things we weren't too excited about ordering, but both the beef curry and the butter chicken were tasty. The next thing that will prevent us from coming here for dine- in, in the future is the horrible smell in the bathroom and the temperature of the restaurant. We wanted to wash up before our meal, but the smell in the bathroom was gross. It looked clean, but there was definitely an odor. It was 42 F outside and the air conditioning was blasting cold air. I asked twice to shut it off because my kids were freezing and I was cold too, but it looked like all they were able to do was raise the temperature on the unit which helped only minimally. Really good food, but I think they will need to find a way to address some of the other issues

The meat is tender, the fish fry is delicious, the rice is amazing. As somebody who lived in Bangladesh for 18 months, I know when I've found a restaurant that has not Americanized. I just told somebody else, please don't change. Let's keep an authentic Indian restaurant in business

Beautiful music was playing at the perfect volume. We ordered the vegetable pakor as an appetizer, and shared the beef vindaloo medium spice and saag paneer high spice. The paneer was mild in flavor and less spicy than the vindaloo unless you ate a bite of green pepper. This is my first time ordering beef vindaloo instead of lamb so it was nice to taste the flavors that usually are overpowered by lamb. The food came with a big bowl of basmati rice and we ordered garlic and rosemary garlic naan. The rosemary was delicious on its own but I couldn't really taste it when eaten with the vindaloo. Finally, I got a masala chai and it was so delicious, and the gulab jamoon for dessert. I couldn't taste any rose flavor, but it tasted a little different than other gulab jamoons that I've had in the past. Still delicious!

We went to the lunch buffet there on a Sunday with 3 other family members. On the website it states…read more$9.95. I was very upset to learn it was $20.95 so it ended out being around $100. I should have said something at the time. It is false advertising. I also emailed them and I never received a response (yes, I know I can call as well). They have never responded. The people that worked there are kind. They had a good mix of all different foods as well. Honestly, for me, who LOVES Indian food...thought it was not good at all :(. Usually I want to dip my naan in all the sauces and I didn't. If you never had Indian food or tried different places, you might think it was good. The whole table agreed. The food was not warm enough (we got there half hour after they opened) and it just tasted 'off'. I was so looking forward to this and chose between 3 places. I made the wrong choice.

- Spacious yet cozy, with a warm, homey vibe; tables are nicely spaced, so you don't feel crowded…read moreand can enjoy your own space - Convenient shared parking lot right out front with a decent number of spots--especially easy when arriving right before opening on a Sunday for lunch - Service was very good: staff was warm, friendly, and impressively efficient throughout our visit - Food was fresh and flavorful, with a nice variety offered at the weekend buffet--the chicken tikka masala was very saucy and not at all spicy (great for kids), though the white meat chicken was slightly on the dry side - Family-friendly pricing: older kids eat for half price, and younger kids dine free

THE FOOD ----------------…read more+ FANTASTIC weekend Indian buffet and everything, I mean, EVERYTHING, was delicious! + Great variety to choose from (approximately 13 different dishes, including dessert) with a good mix of vegetarian and meat entrees. + Buffet includes Tamarind Eggplant, Onion Pakora, Basmati Rice, Naan, Chicken Biryani, Dal Tadka, Soya Chap Dai, Cabbage Poriyal, Fish Curry, Goat Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken, Chili Chicken, Rice Kheer, Gulab Jamon. + Favorites included the Onion Pakora, Chicken Biryani, Soya Chap Dai, Cabbage Poriyal, Goat Curry, Chicken Tikka Masala, Tandoori Chicken. (Honestly, I could have listed just about ALLL of the hot foods!) - Surprisingly was missing a Paneer dish, which is typically common at Indian buffets. - Beware, the Fish Curry definitely has a kick. - The Gulab Jamon was on the "spongy" side in that it was too soft and, as typically is, too sugary. - Rice Kheer was a bit too "fragrant" for our liking. THE SERVICE ------------------ + Employees were cordial. + Solid service throughout our meal as finished plates were cleared quickly. + Can pay the bill online via a QR code. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Interior is separated into 2 rooms, with a main dining room to the right of the entrance and a smaller dining area to the left where the buffet is. + Clean interior. + Private parking lot with plenty of spaces outside, but you have to pay the meter, even on Sundays. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS ------------------------------------- = Came for the Sunday buffet and arrived exactly at opening at 12 PM. Dined for about 1.5 hours and it was busy throughout, but there were always a few tables open. There was a large group dining together in the main dining room, so that was probably the reason why less tables were available than usual.

What impressed us first was their friendly, efficient and thoughtful service. I believe the man who took our orders was the manager. When he learned that I was a dairy-intolerant vegetarian, he informed me that the two veggie dishes I ordered - Bhindi Masala and Smoked Baingan Bharta - both came with heavy cream but they could switch to coconut milk for an extra $2. Then he went down the list of our order to say that some other items also contained a bit of dairy. I figured that I could survive that much anyway. Although the restaurant sign says "creative Indian cuisine", we stayed mostly with the traditional and our favorites. Our order came very quickly. Arriving in a cute mini tricycle, the samosas were surprisingly plump and substantial. Two of those could easily make a meal for me. The Kure Kure Mushrooms were deep fried and coated with creamy seasonings, bus still retained the chewy bite and aroma of oyster mushrooms. The serving was so large, the spices so abundant that both husband and son said they'd resume this dish after our rice arrived. The meat-eaters were extremely happy with the Malvani lamb, while I was just as impressed with the two vegan dishes. Everything was cooked from scratch, retaining the fresh flavor and texture of the ingredients. There must have been a whole pound or more okra packed in the Bhindi masala, which was dryer yet tastier than what I'd experienced elsewhere, a truly honest value. Baingan Bharta is one of my comfort foods, and their version surely met my expectations :-) We loved their creative Rosemary naan, what a delicious fusion of east and west! The waiting staff kept checking our water supply and other needs. The bill was very reasonable. We are sure to come back for more!
