I came 7:30 on a winter Friday night and it was pretty quiet (at one moment i was the only customer there) so with that in mind i want to come back in the summer and try again. I ordered at the counter and after 30 mins I checked and seems like my order had not been passed on, so I ordered again and this time food only took 10 mins to arrive. Naan was great. Chicken tikka masala was a bit oiler than I'm used to. They didn't have any plain rice available as a side order for the curry, so they suggested the Friday special rice which was chicken and chickpeas and ginger etc, unfortunately this had definitely been sitting a while and rice was pretty mushy. The staff were pretty friendly, and I liked how the dining area was decorated. $22 for the two dishes and naan (plenty of leftovers that i took home although not sure how well the rice will be tomorrow) read more

All men Kitchen and its refreshing to hear the native language spoken. This way you know is legit. Another is that you see their people ordering. They have a large selection but I came for the chicken Biryani. I hope they give me Maan. Ambiance is really cool, decorated with Pakistani colors, fabrics banners. This is just my food review, we frequent this place often! The Chana, bihari chicken and naan are our go tos all the time! It hits the spot every time except this last couple of times. I am. Yummy no-frills place with great Pakistani food right near Woodlawn Cemetery. We went out to the cemetery with the Transit Museum's tour group on what turned out to be a miserably cold day. Rather than eat a picnic lunch on the grounds (the original plan), we broke away from the group and came to this place for a nice, hot meal. The food was great! My husband had a dish with chicken and bitter melon, I had the butter chicken. Lunch was delightfully inexpensive as well as fresh & delish. If you're in the neighborhood, stop in. Everything was very delicious, but some of the dishes were oily specially archari chicken and goat curry. We tried the chicken tikka and tandoori chicken previously. They were our favorite dishes so far in Aman. I consider them very authentic Pakistani dishes as I tried many Pakistani food. Staffs and waiter are super friendly. The restaurant is busy, but they take their time to connect with you instead of just a process of ordering food. The girl taking your order always smile and always friendly. Sorry I forgot your name :(. They don't have signs nor menu (I didn't see it) displaying the dishes, but she patiently explain their dishes and even twice if you didn't get it on the first time. It is a family business restaurant. You place the order first and then get seated. The waiter would bring water, salad and your food. The seating area is not fancy and approximately allow 20 seats. Prices are very reasonable and we paid roughly 25 dollars every time and we ordered a lot. It is very inexpensive restaurant. Note that they only take cash. Enjoy it! read more

June 11th. 2018 So I haven't been here in a while, and from the looks of the new guy at the counter, I think the family is away. I ordered the dahi vada which I didn't taste like dahi vada at all it was broken bits with boiled potatoes and no flavor other than the heat from green chilies. I'm not going to order that ever again. But, I did treat myself to my favorites, the chicken biryani, nihari and the chicken curry with naan. The biryani was sub par , I think who ever has taken over the kitchen doesn't know how to do biryani like the auntie who owns the place. It wasn't as fragrant and flavorful as it usually is and I found it to be a bit greasy. The rice also didn't taste the same, as if it didn't cook along with the biryani, but instead was added later? Idk but my fave biryani was not the same. The chicken curry and nihari were good not great. The nihari again wasn't as flavorful and the meat wasn't as tender, also I found there was more grease, the chicken was the best in the lot, and the naans were as remembered. The Naan is amazing in size, price and taste...at $1.25 per price, you can't go wrong with their basic naan. The Chicken Biryani was good and so was the lamb. Also, the Seekh kebab was alright. There were vegetarian options too. It seems like this small restaurant is more accustomed to take out food because even when my husband and I decided to stay there and eat, we were given plastic forks, spoons, disposable cups and some food was served on paper plates. I was working near by and decided to run in and try the Nihari, a stewed beef dish that was warm and comforting with perfectly tender meat that was unctuous and stick-to-your-ribs good. I also got the spicy chicken tikka which was all perfectly crusted and super tender from the yogurt marinade. The spices were complex and heavenly. Naan tasted freshly baked and was chewy and crispy: perfecting for getting every last drop of that Nihari. SO I ordered Chicken Qorma, Chicken Biryani and Chicken Kadahi with Naans and Kheer. I was simply transported to Pakistan, foodgasm! Biryani: Very well done, rice were basmati (usual places use or trick folks with another rice called Sella that does not taste the same) Naans: The best naan so far I have had, properly cooked, not too tick at the ends and soft! Karahi/Kadahi: This item is a Pakistani delicacy. But the kadahi thatw as sent had onions in it, a karahi is not made with onions!!!! But it tasted goo, may be a slight experimentation by the chef but was good. All food items tasted different, had distinct original flavors. That is important as most folks eat Indian Pakistani food and since its hot feel they had the right food! Nopes!!! Since then I have ordered 3 times and never was dejected. This quaint restaurant in the middle of the Bronx serves up some authentic Pakistani dishes. And when I say that I mean it in the most literal sense. The flavor is what a Pakistani transplant would come to expect. A friend of mine said that it's the exact same dishes that she would have when she goes back home to Karachi--so you know its legit. The people in the restaurant are extremely friendly and more than willing to explain the dishes that they have on hand. When I visited I ordered what the friendly cashier suggested to me and I couldn't have been any happier. Plus, the level of spice in their dishes is just as authentic. There's no toning it down for the American palette alright; when I say you feel the burn oh you feel it! But that's exactly why I enjoyed the food even more.
