    Chicken biryani

Solid place considering many don't make up for what aman does in westchester. Biryani has been more salty in recent times I've bought it, but overall a lot better than other places. Kebabs are not for the lighthearted, they are well done and very strong with the spice blend. Overall, I enjoy their food whenever I come, and when they give complimentary kheer, i feel right at home.

Another full delicious meal. We ordered chicken biryani, goat curry, kabab, naan and archari chicken. Everything was very delicious, but some of the dishes were oily specially archari chicken and goat curry. We tried the chicken tikka and tandoori chicken previously. They were our favorite dishes so far in Aman. I consider them very authentic Pakistani dishes as I tried many Pakistani food. Staffs and waiter are super friendly. The restaurant is busy, but they take their time to connect with you instead of just a process of ordering food. The girl taking your order always smile and always friendly. Sorry I forgot your name :(. They don't have signs nor menu (I didn't see it) displaying the dishes, but she patiently explain their dishes and even twice if you didn't get it on the first time. It is a family business restaurant. You place the order first and then get seated. The waiter would bring water, salad and your food. The seating area is not fancy and approximately allow 20 seats. Prices are very reasonable and we paid roughly 25 dollars every time and we ordered a lot. It is very inexpensive restaurant. Note that they only take cash. Enjoy it!

Too much oil in their curries. Biriyani is really good as always.

We ordered Gol Gappay, lamb biryani, Gosht Karahi, and a naan. The Gol Gappay was interesting. Crispy shells filled with chickpeas and potato, with a tangy, salty, savory flavor. Adding a little yogurt balanced it out nicely. Definitely something different. The lamb biryani was around the low teens price-wise and came in a huge portion with plenty of meat. The lamb was slightly dry -- felt like it may have been prepared earlier and kept warm -- but still flavorful and within expectations for the price. The standout for us was the Gosht Karahi. Tender but slightly chewy lamb, very savory and well seasoned, with lots of large chunks of meat. It looks a bit pricey at first, but considering how much meat you actually get, it felt like a solid value. We packed up half of it and still thought the leftovers were more generous than some restaurants' fresh servings. The naan was massive. Good flavor, although it didn't have that super fresh-out-of-the-tandoor smoky char. Funny enough, reheating it in the air fryer at home made it even better. One thing to know: every dish here runs large, so this place is better with a group. There are parking spots in front, but not many.

Inedible Signature Dish, Shockingly Unprofessional Service, and Zero Empathy…read more We visited this restaurant based on strong recommendations, hoping for a memorable family dinner. Unfortunately, after paying a $221 bill, this turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had. While the karai was a redeeming bright spot, the signature nihari was completely disappointing--resembling a heavy, generic spicy curry rather than traditional nihari, and ultimately left uneaten. However, the food was secondary to the appalling level of service. In all our years of dining out, we have never witnessed staff physically clearing plates and food from a table while guests were still in the middle of eating. It is a fundamental breach of basic hospitality and respect. Compounding this, we were dining with our children, including a child with autism who was having a genuinely difficult moment. Given that management is reportedly well aware of these parenting challenges, the complete lack of patience, empathy, or professional grace from the staff was deeply disheartening. A $221 bill should at the very least guarantee a baseline standard of customer care and human decency. Regrettably, due to the total failure in service and professionalism, this was our first and last visit.

I was the only lady there and as I have written in earlier reviews no women come here. The chicken was fresh and tasty but I could manage only half and had it packed. Now the naans here are not the delicate fragrant ones at fancy Indian restaurants. These are thick ones with or without ghee smeared on top (to request) meant for the lumberjack. Here these are in the form of cab drivers and delivery men who need sustenance and no froo froo cuisine. The gender neutral restroom is in my opinion the "Black hole of Calcutta." For men, it may be passable but for women absolutely verboten to enter. At a pinch, go to Kalustiyan where there is a restroom up the stairs. Ideally only should buy something before asking to powder one's nose. Service at Lahori is fine.

I love tasting new restaurants and wanted to stop by this place . Fantastic location . Right in the heart of Lexington Avenue . Lots of other restaurants nearby. Lots of space inside to sit and eat . Even though the ambience is not that great , it's ok for a quick lunch .. service could be better. All guys go inside the kitchen and hardly come out . Wish they had a bell or something in the counter outside for the customers to call them . Sometimes you keep waiting for many minutes before they come out . For the price , food was good . They have many food items on display and we chose some curries .. quantity was good . Naan , white rice and 2 non veg curries for 13.50$. Not bad. ... goat curry was good . Perfect Lahori taste . Chicken curry was average . Could have tasted better . My only issue is presentation. The y just mix all curries in rice and they are smashed all across the plate . Wish they give these curries in separate containers so we can enjoy the flavor of each curries . Another thing is they just reheat these curries . They are precooked . Sometimes with that , we wouldn't know if it is fresh . It tasted fresh though. Overall a good restaurant but giving them 3 stars . Will visit again and check and improve my ratings if needed

We tried the fried liver which reminded me of weddings and engagement parties etc in South Asia. The halwa in the Mughal breakfast was a brighter red color than we are used to and toning down the color won't hurt but the taste is spot on.
