I have to say, this is a pure gem in the Bronx in little Yemen. Beautiful ambiance indoors, exceptional service, and authentic flavorful food with incredible seasoning! I love it here and will always go back to visit. Once you have the flat bread make sure you finish it first before it gets dry. We got mixed grill platter but it's not pictured because it got devoured. then an authentic yemeni dish kind of like a shredded lamb stew and we finished the meal with some moroccan tea which was phenomenal. everyone is very friendly and caring and soft spoken it's really good service and the people dining are kind too. 10/10 A++ this is a MUST go. I wanted to gatekeep but the people must know. I've done my civil duty sharing this spot today.

The food was absolutely delicious! I went to a Yemeni restaurant in China and wanted to try once I got home. Very tasty and good portions! I ordered the Haneez, hummus, and shawarma platter. I had enough food for two days! I ordered on DoorDash because the entrance is a bit intimidating but now that I've been once, I will certainly be back again!

We opened the door to see what was inside and it smelled so good and the menu looked awesome. We ordered lamb chops which were great. Haneez is their most popular dish and didn't disappoint. Falafel is very flavorful. The bread is huge. Self service or sit down, both are easy. This restaurant is great and I highly recommend it!

Wow!! Good service, kind, friendly and attentive. Hummus is one of the best and I truly say that. The amazing lavash ( thin bread) I believe is made per order. I made one mistake, came here alone, it's a definitely feast for foodies!

I had to write about the great food and the very nice waitress Boutaina who brought us some great hummus and tanour on the house since our wait was long ( we were told it would take some time ) she is very personable friendly and attentive we love the atmosphere and our tasty meals I've enclosed pictures and please try the home made lemon aid

I would give this spot 5 stars if the ambience and service improved! The hubster and I are big fans of supporting neighborhood spots so when we found Oasis on Yelp we rushed to try it. We entered the deserted establishment and were looked at as if we had seven heads. Not sure if they weren't expecting customers due to a private party they were setting up for but if looks could kill we would be twelve feet under! I don't even recall the grumpy man saying hello. On a side note this cold welcome was not even geared towards our sexual orientation it was just a bad energy that was not customer friendly. Where they lacked in customer service though they made up with the food. The hummus was awesome. So were our entrees; I ordered the chicken kabob with rice and my partner in crime ordered the mixed grilled. Everything we ordered was fresh, well cooked and very flavorful. It's a shame that the service blew chunks because if it didn't we would definitely return!

I'm back in the Northeast after being trapped in gastronomical purgatory, (AKA Savannah, GA), for 14 years. One can only take so much of Paula Dean's cooking before your taste-buds need replacing. I got out just in time. So, that being said here's my first NYC review. If you find yourself near Morris Park in the Bronx check out The Oasis Mediterranean Restaurant. They have the best tabouli salad I've ever tasted. This jewel of a restaurant serves a mostly middle-eastern clientele. I'd like to change that. It offers great food for anyone of any nationality. In addition to the abundant meaty dishes, I found plenty of vegetarian choices, so if you're a carnivore, omnivore, or a veg-centered nutcase like me, you won't go hungry. You'll be glad you came. The staff was helpful and friendly, the service was quick and they have a wonderful selection of middle-eastern deserts to end the meal. Time well spent and your taste-buds will thank you!

Food comes out burnt. Tables were sticky and weird smell in the restaurant. It was really good before but now the food is not the same.

I can tell you that will never happen again because they seem to short patrons. We all ordered rice platters and everyone got decent-sized portions. My lamb kofta was abysmal. They gave me three small, dry ass pieces. Everyone else's platters were full of proteins. If they ran out of kofta they should have given something else or let my husband know. My daughter had a full piece of salmon filet, my husband received lamb and chicken mixed grill and it covered his rice portion, and my son had a full serving of lamb kebab. What they served for my order was obviously missing meat. They don't even give the actual "white" sauce - it's like a low-budget ranch and the hot sauce is probably bottled Red Hot brand. The rice was decent and there was a lot of red onion, cole slaw and tomato salad - much more than there was meat. If they're sending food to the same home, they should do a better job of ensuring that the meals are comparable. This was a terrible thing to come home to, after a long day working with patients. Never again.

I got the chicken and lamb over rice combo, and it was exactly what I needed: hot, flavorful, and super filling. The chicken was tender, the lamb had great seasoning, and the rice was fresh. Throw on that white sauce and hot sauce, and you've got yourself a comfort meal that hits the spot at any hour. Portions are generous, and prices are very reasonable -- especially for NYC. Whether it's 2 p.m. or 2 a.m., this spot is clutch for hospital workers, night owls, or anyone in need of a solid, satisfying bite near Montefiore.

I had a very disappointing experience with Chicken vs Lamb and won't be ordering again…read more My order was handled poorly from the start--food was left sitting instead of being given to the delivery driver who was already there, and parts of my order were missing. The food also didn't match what was advertised. I ordered a salad expecting what was shown on the menu, but received slimy arugula, strong-smelling feta, and dry grape tomatoes. When I brought it up, I was told the system has been like this for "2 months," yet the online and in-person menus are still not updated and don't match Uber Eats or what is actually served. The chicken over rice was overly sauced and served cold, and the photos online are outdated and misleading. When I tried to address the issue, I was told to "just take the tomatoes off," which didn't solve the problem since that wasn't what I ordered. The staff was also dismissive and rushed the conversation, making it feel like the issue was being blamed on me. Overall, there's a lack of consistency, poor communication, and misleading menu information. I won't be ordering again. I'd recommend Space Grill instead--the food is much better, though they close around 11pm.

But we come to the Bronx for the zoo and botanical garden multiple times a year, so I'd like to find something other than the familiar Italian places along Arthur. We arrived and there was no one else dining in the restaurant on a Saturday. We were greeted warmly and were given menus, and a young guy came offering help with the menu. To be honest, he couldn't exactly answer the questions we asked, but I did my homework (just a bit of googling lol) so we ordered everything quickly. The food came really quickly, and although most of the staff seemed unable to communicate in English, they tried their best to be helpful. Everything was piping hot and fresh, and delicious. The bread was so fluffy and yummy I had way too much, and they served two big pieces which were more than enough for us. The portions here in general are pretty big.
