My person rating is two stars. My husband brought home some take out from Tasty Choice. We used to…read moreorder from here regularly. I can tell you that will never happen again because they seem to short patrons. We all ordered rice platters and everyone got decent-sized portions. My lamb kofta was abysmal. They gave me three small, dry ass pieces. Everyone else's platters were full of proteins. If they ran out of kofta they should have given something else or let my husband know. My daughter had a full piece of salmon filet, my husband received lamb and chicken mixed grill and it covered his rice portion, and my son had a full serving of lamb kebab. What they served for my order was obviously missing meat. They don't even give the actual "white" sauce - it's like a low-budget ranch and the hot sauce is probably bottled Red Hot brand. The rice was decent and there was a lot of red onion, cole slaw and tomato salad - much more than there was meat. If they're sending food to the same home, they should do a better job of ensuring that the meals are comparable. This was a terrible thing to come home to, after a long day working with patients. Never again.

BTW, the wrap makes the shawarma less hefty and helps you taste the meat and sauces rather than get overwhelmed by the bread. So much more interesting a sandwich. Less hefty. More of a delicacy. Their sauces are just great. The side dishes (Hummus, Yogurt, Baba Ghanouj, etc.) are also of high quality and taste great. The baklava is also excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. The place looks like a fast-food restaurant, but the friendly staff and good food make it worthwhile.

I had a very disappointing experience with Chicken vs Lamb and won't be ordering again…read more My order was handled poorly from the start--food was left sitting instead of being given to the delivery driver who was already there, and parts of my order were missing. The food also didn't match what was advertised. I ordered a salad expecting what was shown on the menu, but received slimy arugula, strong-smelling feta, and dry grape tomatoes. When I brought it up, I was told the system has been like this for "2 months," yet the online and in-person menus are still not updated and don't match Uber Eats or what is actually served. The chicken over rice was overly sauced and served cold, and the photos online are outdated and misleading. When I tried to address the issue, I was told to "just take the tomatoes off," which didn't solve the problem since that wasn't what I ordered. The staff was also dismissive and rushed the conversation, making it feel like the issue was being blamed on me. Overall, there's a lack of consistency, poor communication, and misleading menu information. I won't be ordering again. I'd recommend Space Grill instead--the food is much better, though they close around 11pm.

But we come to the Bronx for the zoo and botanical garden multiple times a year, so I'd like to find something other than the familiar Italian places along Arthur. We arrived and there was no one else dining in the restaurant on a Saturday. We were greeted warmly and were given menus, and a young guy came offering help with the menu. To be honest, he couldn't exactly answer the questions we asked, but I did my homework (just a bit of googling lol) so we ordered everything quickly. The food came really quickly, and although most of the staff seemed unable to communicate in English, they tried their best to be helpful. Everything was piping hot and fresh, and delicious. The bread was so fluffy and yummy I had way too much, and they served two big pieces which were more than enough for us. The portions here in general are pretty big. We'd definitely come back next time we're in the Bronx. I hope they can add some description to their menu so those who are not familiar with the cuisine can easily decide what they want. :)
