Came here for lunch and it took almost forever for things to arrive including tea, naan, and other. There was only one server at the time. Ordered a lamb saag and it was not creamy, it felt watery, and it was disappointing. The only thing that was good was the garlic naans instead of the main course. Quite disappointed.

This place was quite on a Sunday evening. Went for quick dinner and specially because I was craving samosa. The vegetable samosas were quite good. It was served hot with the chutney (dipping sauce). So I also ordered samosa chaat which was okay, nothing out of ordinary. I was mostly disappointed on the papdi chaat. It was crunchy but didn't come together. It lacked the tangy spices and the sauce mix. It didn't feel like authentic papdi chat. Also the chicken biryani was not really it. It did feel like fried rice, probably the chicken and rice weren't cooked together. The presentation was nice for all the food that were served.

Wifey and I had a lunch date here... it's friggin phenomenal from what we ordered. Butter Naan: solid, but if they messed this up I'd let you know what's up. Samosa Chaat: never had but dang was this good. I think they chopped up the warm samosa and threw it in with fresh cut veggies, sauce and sauce. Whatever they did, fabulous. Lamb Curry Lunch: I LOVE lamb, and I judge them on this above all else. And this was DOPE. Spicy (I'm also pretty sure you can ask them to adjust but for me, the spice level was perfect), lamb cubes were juicy and tender, sauce was smashing, level of heat perfect. Notice the small details, small sprigs of fresh ginger on top... yup I took notice Moringa...if you were aiming to impress, you did LoL! Panner Box Lunch (creamy): very tasty, my wife's dish. This was her jam but I definitely "shared" a bite or two Mango Lassi: lastly, once upon a time an Indian friend of mine told me that the straw test dictated whether the mango Lassi was subpar or not... if the straw fell over then it's "meh", if it stood tall, then it's legit. Well, it passed the yes AND it was delicious, so win win. Staff was friendly, ambiance was quite nice. The finishes on the inside was something to admire. I don't know if it was left from the last place but I do know I liked it a lot. Felt like nice dining for a great price. Would def recommend and will def come again.

New Indian restaurant in Tappan, NY, opened 3 months ago we noticed it when we drove by earlier in the day so decided to try it out tonight! So very happy we did! The good is delicious! The service was very friendly and helpful! People sitting nearby were Vegans and the restaurant accommodated every request they made! Our order was amazing! The samosas were crispy in the outside but tender and juicy, both veggie and lamb were absolutely delectable. The chicken briyani was so good, loved the butter chicken and oxtail curry as well. The whole wheat roti was excellent. A MUST TRY! You'll be thrilled you did!

Great Indian food and didn't expect it in Tappa ... Reminds me of my favourite curry house in London.

Updated Review - The defensiveness about the owner response says everything. No such conversation…read moretook place about the very friendly nut facility. That is false. At no point were we told that your restaurant could not safely accommodate her allergy, nor were we advised that we should not dine there because of the risk. We certainly were not presented with the conversation you are now describing as though we knowingly disregarded a clear warning and chose to proceed anyway. Had we been told that our daughter's allergy could not be safely accommodated, we would have left. Her safety is obviously more important than having dinner at any restaurant. What is especially troubling is that, despite notifying your staff of her peanut allergy, our daughter experienced an allergic reaction while dining at your establishment. That was the reason I had to leave abruptly. Trying to redirect the focus onto the fact that your kitchen uses third-party products or has a risk of cross-contamination does not change the fact that your staff was informed of her allergy before she was served. Regarding the service, reviewing timestamps on security footage does not capture the attentiveness, communication, delays, or overall quality of service at our table. And regarding the bill: I never stated that an employee walked up to me and verbally accused us of not paying. My concern was the manner in which my husband was treated after I suddenly had to leave with our daughter because she was having an allergic reaction. I had no reason to fabricate the negative portions of our experience. I would have much preferred for your response to simply acknowledge that a child with a disclosed peanut allergy experienced a reaction in your restaurant. Instead, your response appears focused on disputing our experience and placing responsibility back on us. That is disappointing and, frankly, reinforces my concerns about how this situation was handled. Previous Review: The food was delicious and beautifully presented, which unfortunately made the rest of our experience even more disappointing. Service throughout the meal was quite slow, but the most concerning issue occurred after our daughter experienced an allergic reaction. We had specifically informed our waiter that she has a peanut allergy, so having her develop a reaction during the meal was extremely alarming. Because of the situation, I had to leave the restaurant urgently with our daughter while my husband remained behind. What was particularly upsetting was the way the staff behaved afterward, seemingly concerned that we were attempting to leave without paying the bill. In the middle of dealing with our child having an allergic reaction, being treated as though we might skip out on the bill was incredibly upsetting, unprofessional, and frankly disturbing. Of course the bill was going to be paid. Our immediate priority in that moment was making sure our daughter was safe. While the food itself was excellent, restaurants have a responsibility to take food allergies seriously and to respond with professionalism and compassion when a medical situation occurs. Unfortunately, the way this situation was handled overshadowed what otherwise could have been a very enjoyable dining experience.

Most of the dishes had some sort of spice, very limited non spicy options. They pre make the base sauce so the spice level is not adjustable. We ordered a lot of the dishes from the menu starting with corn chaat and samosa. Corn chaat didn't really have corn, it was more like corn flakes with tomatoes and onions. The dish was blend, it needed some dressing sauce or yogurt on top to make it tastier. Samosa had good potato fillings, came with green and tamarind chutneys. For entree we got the chicken tikka masala, chicken korma with rice, naan and garlic naan with Amul cheese. Tikka masala was super delicious, thick spicy sauce. I was so glad to see chicken was moist not dry. Korma was a good too. The rice was cooked with jeera, had wonderful aroma. Both naan were excellent, loved the Amul one especially, it was so cheesy. We had the brownie ice cream for dessert, was a yummy one too. The mango lassi was also good, was on the thicker side. All our dishes came out so quickly, almost seemed like they had everything ready to go in the kitchen. It's semi self-served, plastic forks, spoon, knives and plates are next to the register. They serve the dishes in to go boxes, so very easy to pack any leftovers, just need the lids. Overall we loved the food and the atmosphere. Glad to see a good Indian restaurant establishing itself in the area.

The menu marked all the spicy level for each item, which was very helpful for me (I don't eat spicy food). I tried chicken korma with naan. It's creamy and flavorful. Naan was buttery and fluffy. Samosa was good, came in 2 pieces; little spicy for me. Mango lassi with strong mango flavor and good yogurt base. The only thing I didn't like was corn chaat. It's corn flakes (?) with chopped onions, tomatoes and chutneys sauce. The corn flakes really threw me off. Tables and seats inside for dine in. Spacious with history of the restaurant on the wall. Bathroom is clean. Overall a solid place for quick Indian food. Nice and attentive staff. Great customer service and interactions.

We asked nicely for a bright table since we have reservation and the guy told us is all reserved but place was empty meantime. We seated and I have to asked for the light to be turned on so we can see the menu because the other side has lights on. It took sometime until they put it on. meanwhile our wine was getting warmer no wine glasses no water either and they kept walking front and back like they were accomplished something but nothing was going on. we were still waiting looking at them just waiting to order. 15minutes waiting finally they come and asked if we needed wine glass? Oh boy Meanwhile no lights so I use my phone because the table lamp didn't have batteries or not charge. So we say yes please respectfully but still waiting for it.
