Update: It was our second visit to Nam 6, this time for a dinner with friends. We were there for 5:30pm on a Thursday and did not have a reservation for 6 people. We were asked if we would finish our dinner by 7pm or 730pm because the restaurant was fully booked. The service was better this time with the seating in the middle of the restaurant. Our friends who are Vietnamese ordered the food so I don't know the names of all the dishes but I especially liked the dishes with the rice flour, rice noodles and rice dumplings with different toppings and sauces. We had: 3 tier stand appetizers, it is a must order to share. This dish takes 20 minutes to cook, so order it as soon as you sit down. Rice platter wrap with sausage Banh Nam Dry crispy wings Stir fried seafood in tamarind sauce Morning Glory vegetable stir fried I was a bit disappointed with the flavour of the stir fried seafood in tamarind sauce. Whilst it looked good but it lacked the flavour that it has with another dish of only clams in tamarind sauce and the hollow stems of the Morning Glory vegetable was tough. Though, a great experience to try different dishes on this visit.

Beef broth was delightful, ample of noodles and toppings. Only critique would be that the size difference between a Small and Large was not very noticeable. The bowl size yes, but contents inside, the small was packed however the large bowl seemed more empty. The small bowl felt like there was more than in the large

We've been wanting to drop in since we heard about this spot! Closer to home, even better! So Google said they open at 11:30 and we arrived 5 mins early only to find that the door was open. We were probably the 4th table seated and everything was great! Staff was very attentive - I kept looking at the (gorgeous) dishes coming out of the kitchen(s) and they kept stopping thinking I needed smth. We wanted the razor clams but sadly, they didn't have any. The waiter suggested a clam dish which was delicious and flavourful. A little kick along with lemongrass. Yums! We definitely had to try the wings and my mom wanted to try the grilled pork bun. Omggg I can tell why the wings are one of the signature dishes. The grilled pork was plentiful and tasty. We also ordered the crab tapioca noodles and that was... only okay. It was heavy on the pepper and not much crab/flavour. Would pass on that one in the future but there are tons of items we'll be back to try. The restaurant is spacious and large - but as others said, the horse, carriage and piano is a bit odd. Decorative but odd. See you soon!

Finally got to come here and not on a busy day. It was for lunch yesterday at 6-Aug. We made reservations since it was still kind of busy. Place had a large horse on the side people took pictures with and a nice spiral staircase leading to the ceiling. Lots of seats available as well and can definitely accommodate large groups. They had the temporary free dessert and 10% off cash. The dessert wasn't really anything great in my opinion (I'm picky so it's not significant). I really enjoyed their Banh Cuon, very tasty and you get to choose different toppings inside. All come with the vietnamese meat cut in semi-circles. Chicken wings were really delicious! Mouthwatering! I also liked how there are different types of fresh rolls you can choose from like shrimp, chicken, etc. Lots of staff available to help you out and they're really nice as well, patient with you. The only reason why there's a star off is because when I went to the restroom to wash my hands, a staff worker came out the stall after flushing the toilet. She then left and went outside while I was washing my hands. She did not wash her hands. I understand it's an asian restaurant and it's not "as expected" but I'm there and we saw each other. She should've washed her hands after using the toilet. Honestly felt sick and lost my appetite after witnessing that. I will be coming here again of course whenever I'm around the area next time.

Everything i ordered was amazing and delicious! Came here with my family for dinner and they loved it!! I'm a huge fan of Nam restaurants, I'm a regular and obviously this new location did not disappoint. I love the new dishes they introduced! We ordered the curry crab, scallops, banh ram it, seafood fried rice, chicken wings, sirloin beef, caramelized pork belly, and fish! Everything tasted delicious and my parents loved it a lot! I finally got met the lovely owners as well! There was also free dessert on the house- black seasame and red bean and another dessert I forgot. Overall it's super friendly, food was delicious , I love the decor!

Expect to wait even if u are the front of the line! We got here at 12:18pm on a Tuesday, don't get sat till almost 1pm. The restaurant wasn't full, but they seem to be understaffed! Don't expect to get seated until they have gotten caught up with the rest of the dining room. They said they'd rather have you standing and wait than to sit down at a table and not be able to serve you. We pre looked at the menu during the 40 mins we were in line so as soon as she sat us down we ordered right away in case she doesn't come back to us for another god knows how long. We got the basic pho dac biet and the shrimp and pork banh cuon. Overall food was ok, will try again when the hype dies down and come with more than 2 people so we can try more dishes.

Long wait of 2 hours, the number calling was horrible they call by numbers and. It by party numbers. The free dessert on Grand opening day ran out. Lucky they still have the free wings when we got our table after 2 hours wait. But the music was too loud inside, cannot even talk with friends. Ordered the pork chop rice and beef spring roll vermicelli and the dumpling. Food is just average

The lady at the front desk was super sweet, bubbly and funny! There were tons of servers floating around constantly so service was quick. Food was also pretty pretty quickly and was super delicious. The Bahn it Ram here is way better than the other place that went viral. It is much closer to the authentic version with a smaller and thinner fried base. Crack wings be cracking. I turnedy bf into a concert. They were sold out of the soft shell crab for the Bun Rieu which was a bummer but the dish was still phenomenal. Great experience here. I'd come back to try other dishes.

Back again for lunch and ordered the morning glory greens, so flavourful! The table top fish, second time ordering. Handsome chef Don showed us how to eat it, adding the greens, dill, peanut, shallot and the noodles. Our waiter Huy was attentive, fast, lively and very helpful! The scallop was tasty. Nancy, one of the waitress was so friendly. The ambiance and decor is nice, hanging moons, a horse, beautiful fake stair case. Such unique and flavourful dishes! Will be back soon again!

They have large and regular size and I got regular which was still filling. Also had their famous fried chicken wings which are fantastic! Highly recommend! The owner said it's a secret recipe they actually got from Buffalo NY. Ambience is always warm and I forgot this Spadina location has an extension that used to be their patio. Fast service and it was nice to see the owner who is usually there. And thankfully it wasn't packed when we got there on a Saturday around 1pm. This restaurant is still a family favourite!

I ordered the bun bo hue, pho, and spring rolls. The bun bo hue tasted more like a spicy pho broth, and the pho reminded me of the broth at the Michelin recommended restaurant on Ossington. Overall, the bun bo hue and spring rolls were just okay, nothing special. The pho was good if you're looking for something simple. They also put a large piece of beef tendon in the pho, which I loved! One thing I didn't like was that the owner seemed to be rushing us to order, which felt a bit off putting. I'd come back for the pho and spring rolls, but I'm not sure about the other dishes.

They have 5 types of dry noodles with pork tossed with sauce, which is super hard to find as a dish…read more(even if you look for similar dishes in Singaporean, Malaysian, Thai and Cambodian cuisines). The dry noodle dishes under the green column use egg noodles & those under the brown use rice noodles but the toppings & sauce are the same. The most pricey rice noodles are Japanese but otherwise the difference is width. Got the thin egg noodle version in large. It's recommended to add pickled garlic & red vinegar. The soup was pretty tasty with a natural sweetness, 2 springy half fishballs & a large, very fresh shrimp. The sauce was basically oyster sauce but pickled garlic, red vinegar, hoi sin & chili sauce were available to add complexity. The noodles weren't wet but were not dry either. Large was a very big bowl it came with minced pork, thin sliced pork beansprouts & greens. The pickled garlic was good. Also got a shrimp fritter on the side for $2.50. It was big with one tiny shrimp. The juxtaposition was comical but it was cheap. It was not warm but the fritter was crispy & tasty. Unfortunately the shrimp itself was dry & brittle. Service was good, especially for an Asian place.

Right down to the non-white washed clientele. I'd always prefer to dine where the "locals" dine, and being in a multicultural city like Toronto, it's difficult to fine a hidden gem that hasn't been invaded by foreigners (I'm laughing inside because I'm not Viet and am disliking myself for being that invader; however, I can pass for a Viet if I just point to the table I want and the menu item I'd like ). So, please keep this place to yourself as I would hate to line up the next time I come.
