This is like a Chinese hotpot place with some Japanese touches. There're many dishes, sauces & even broths from Chinese hotpot.  Got Sukiyaki, beef broth & tomato broth. Beef is a simple Chinese like broth & tomato is like the Chinese hotpot version.  The sauces were Chinese hotpot sauces with the addition of chili powder, raw & onsen eggs, ponzu & sukiyaki sauce.  The food was decent but the service was very bad. We kept ordering raw meat but it never came. Then it all came at the end when we were full & told that no more meat was coming. We told them twice to cancel the meat & still it came a third time. And we were supposed to get oysters, which never came. They also lost our reservation. We got all you can drink but it was weird - we were locked into the first drink we ordered.  It's still the soft opening period so hopefully things improve.

Me and my bf got the $19.99 weekday lunch special. We got in right at 12pm. I loved how there were onsen eggs and fresh fruit. The Value is great for downtown Toronto, Udon, beef, and veggies and spam and tofu. The tofu kinda tasted a bit off. The matcha ice cream had 0 flavor, which I forgive because this is a hotpot place and not an ice cream place and the Daango was tasty so definitely choose that. Inside was very spacious, clean, air conditioned and comfortable which was a plus for downtown.

we went for their ayce sukiyaki luxury seafood set and it was goood! the cuts of meat were nice and loved the premium selections provided. we're not huge on seafood, but the snow crab was our favourite of the bunch there. They weren't super busy when we went, so we didn't have to line up for the sauces. Good music and vibes! Luxury Seafood is a little bit pricy though, so if I were to go back, I'd opt for the premium ayce option as I don't see the value in the seafood... personally!

The quality of the beef at this all-you-can-eat restaurant is excellent. When you eat it, you won't feel like it's low-quality beef at all. The beef slices are also very thin, resulting in a great texture. However, I don't recommend ordering the seafood here as the quality is average. It's better to stick with the beef and give it a try. 呢間all you can eat嘅牛,肉質非常好,食起上嚟你完全唔會覺得係一啲劣質牛,同埋牛片好薄,口感非常好。不過就唔太建議叫呢度嘅海鮮,quality一般,試下就好。

Tasty Sukiyaki with good quality meats, and I think the only one of its kind in Toronto but I could be wrong, but basically it's not really different than hotpot restaurants. I kind of like a Japanese style of hot pot in a way, as in this case you first select your preferred soup broth and then your all you can eat vegetables and beef or seafood, depending on what level you order. A nice idea. The restaurant had a nice modern ambiance and was not too busy while we were there on a Saturday night, which was kind of surprising. The staff were very attentive and as I was with a Japanese friend, she kept coming back and asking how the taste and quality of everything was compared to Japan. They offer a very good quantity and quality for the price.

The best Sukiyaki in Downtown Toronto. We loved the Ayce seafood luxury set. So fresh and delicious. The staff were very welcoming especially Biston who was very helpful.

The quality of the food was premium and lots of selection to choose from. They have a sauce station and dessert station. As well there are some fried/cook finger foods. There is a 90 minute limit The broth was very flavourful the sukiyaki was great for meats and the bone broth was good for everything. For dessert they have shaved Iceee The staff working was super friendly and always checked on us to see if we need anything. The shop was clean and vibrate!

I visited Matsutei Sukiyaki during their soft opening. It's a lovely and spacious space. We ordered the premium set for AYCE plus two soup base. There are 3 sets, standard is for lunch only and then Premium and Luxury seafood. The food was pretty good in selection and quality. It looked like there was care in presenting them as well. My favourite items were, premium beef brisket, shrimp paste and stripped bass fish slices. Sauce bar was clean, organized and well stocked. I did wish maybe ordering can be done by device. Currently, need to wave a server for that. Maybe they want more interaction with customer. I'm also not used to the sukiyaki soup base, it was a bit too sweet for me. Good addition to a hot pot area.

A beautiful place for lunch. The restaurant itself is neat and clean. The price is good with great portion and quality ingredients. Everything is well arranged. Lots of fruits and small bites desserts offered. The staff for friendly and welcoming. Great sukiyaki spot in China town. Worth try out !

The broth was sweet, savoury, and not overly tangy. We got it with sweet potato noodles, which had the most satisfying and addictive chew. There was already so much meat and veg in there that you really don't need to add much else. My only thing is I wish there were more sweet potato noodles to go with everything in the bowl. We added the pig trotter (because duh!), which was perfectly seasoned, tender, and had that nice gelatinous texture. Because of how big the portion was, we took the leftovers home, added more glass noodles, and was still able to get two full meals out of it the next day! The MaoCai broth was pretty spicy. We went with medium, and were breaking a sweat. The numbing heat hits fast and makes it hard to sip on the broth while eating (definitely not for the weak). Still, it had a solid ratio of meat to veg to noodles, and everything held up well with the broth. The parfaits were exactly what we needed after all that hotpot. The Citrus Garden Green Tea had a nice blend of green tea, citrus, and coconut that worked surprisingly well together. But the Brown Sugar Black Tea Parfait was our favourite. The tapioca balls were perfectly chewy and not too sweet, and the mix of black tea and grass jelly gave it such a good combo of textures. It was rhe perfect cool down. From what I hear, if you can say their tongue twister 3x in 30s you can get 50% off their new ice cream parfaits!
