My friends and I recently ventured out to Vaughan for some Vietnamese food at Pho Hong Phong. It was a bit far from home for me but ended up being worth the drive. The food was pretty good! We started with some refreshing drinks that were pretty good. Nước Chanh - Lemonade Trà Tắc - Black Tea With Kumquat Sinh Tố Bơ Cà Phê - Avocado Smoothie with Coffee A mix of appetizers and mains followed and they were all delicious! Cánh Gà Chiên Bơ - Butter Chicken Dry Wings Gỏi Bò Tái Chanh - Rare Beef Salad with Lime Bánh Mì Chảo Đặc Biệt - Special Skillet Bread Bún Cá - Hong Phong Fish Noodle Soup Phở Bò Xông Khói - Smoked Beef Pho The flavours very all really good and the portions were large - enough that we were stuffed and had leftovers. We enjoyed it all but our favourites included the wings, smoked beef pho, and the bone marrow dish. The restaurant is comfortably spacious, nicely decorated and clean, with good service. Check them out!

This place serves delicious Viet cuisine! Came on a quiet Saturday afternoon, the dishes came out pretty quickly, they were presented nicely, tasted fresh and well seasoned. Our waitress was cute and super friendly. The interior is clean and nicely decorated!

Took my parents to checkout a new Vietnamese spot for lunch today! I was coming from work, so told my parents to order ahead. Definitely do the large spring rolls, and dad ordered the beef stew with french baguette. Dad thought the stew beef wasnt tender enough but I thought it was fine, the broth was rich and beefy! The rolls were delicious! Large came with 4 rolls cut in 2. When I arrived I noticed they had banh Xeo so I knew I had to get it! It was almost 1pm but wasn't busy on a Thursday! The banh xeo came not long after we half finished the spring rolls! Apparently it didn't come with rice paper, I asked and they said they can give us some. I've always had banh xeo which is like a Vietnamese crispy egg crepe pancake with bean sprouts, sliced pork and shrimp inside. Everything tasted delicious! For the month of May, if you come Tuesday & Thursday 11-5pm it's happy hour with 20% off! With 3 items tax and tips and the 20% off came to $50!

Came here for late lunch on a weekend and were able to get seats no problem. Ambiance was pretty nice and the teapots they use are cute. We finished the tea and didn't get any refill though, would have been nice to have more tea. Tried the soft shell crab noodle soup. The soft shell crab came on the side which was nice and seemed to have been fried with some sort of egg yolk? My kid liked munching on the fried crab legs. The soup itself was reddish but not that spicy. The noodles are the skinny ones. The bean sprouts and mint were very fresh. If you pay cash it's 10% off. And parking was plentiful.

Lovely new spot, beautiful decor, good food at good prices. Bonus: I really appreciated the little coat hangers by each booth edge, especially now that it's cold and wet, we all have a big coat. I got the Bun Rieu Cua with the soft shell crab, very tasty, I could actually taste the crab compared to other places with pretty bland flavour. The bowl also had 3 large pieces of pork blood. I would have personally preferred less of the pork blood and more noodles, but to each their own. Flavour was good with a hint of spice. The grilled beef is actually short ribs, they cut out each bone portion separately. Soft and flavourful. The house special pho was also good. Staff were friendly.

Comfortable and spacious atmosphere. The stone pot pho came with a lot of beef and meats. The beef rib was tender and fell off the bone. We also order the rice with beef short rib and the short ribs were delicious and juicy. Overall the food was excellent and the service was friendly despite it being near closing time. Pricing was reasonable for each dish.

We actually got called in around 20 minutes though, which was great. They asked us if we were okay with a shared/communal table, so maybe that's why it was faster, but the shared tables are not bad at all. We ended up getting seated right in front of the TV while a FIFA game was going on, so the vibes were great. The staff were also super friendly and would stop by to watch and chat for bits at a time. Every time I come, I always order the pad thai and the khao soi. The pad thai is amazing and not too sweet or sour. The khao soi was also delicious and the braised beef was so tender. For drinks, I ordered the Thai iced tea, which is a little on the sweeter side, but was great once the ice melted a little bit. Overall great food, great vibes, would definitely come back!!

The chicken wings were made particularly tasty from the dipping sauce, The beef pad see ew was good. Our fish green curry was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly. The curry and the soup each come with rice served in a leaf. Although we were full, we ordered the mango sticky rice because it was highly recommended, It was excellent, because the mango was ripe. We waited 35 minutes to be seated and were told the expected time. Once we ordered, the food arrived promptly, water was refilled frequently, dirty plates were removed to make room for dishes. This restaurant is a popular spot with a well deserved reputation. All guests had a good time. Definitely would return.

I was dining solo today, so I only ordered one dish: the Khao Soi Soft‑Shell Crab, which was marked as a recommended item on the menu. The curry noodle soup itself was delicious, with that classic Thai‑style sweet curry flavour. But the protein‑to‑noodle ratio was disappointing. It was a serious noodle overload, noodles in the soup plus a pile of crispy fried egg noodles on top. Carb coma incoming. The toppings were minimal: a few bean sprouts and a small fried soft‑shell crab. The crab was tasty, but overall the dish didn't feel like good value for the price. It's something I'm glad I tried once, but I'd move on to another dish next time.

He had the fried chicken wings & said they were delicious. When I arrived I ordered the beef pad thai. It came relatively quickly & was really delicious. I would definitely come back & try some other dishes. Service I was surprised that my husband & I were the only people in the restaurant. Hubby said that they had been doing mostly take out orders. In any case, service was attentive & polite. There was a young man who took my order and another lady who was preparing things around the restaurant. It was relaxed and a nice atmosphere. Ambiance It's very colourful inside the restaurant. The walls are painted with cute designs. I liked it. The washrooms are down the hall on the main level. I didn't like how cluttered that hallway is though. I hope they clear away some of the restaurant supplies from that hallway to the bathroom. The women's washroom was clean. However one of the cabinets in the washroom was full of dust on the top. It's kind of strange because the toilet & sink itself were very clean. Overall I think if they did a few improvements I would rate the ambiance of the restaurant better than 3.5. The food & service were otherwise really good here. Next time I'm in the area I will come back & try a different dish.

Service is a hit or miss, while all the staff are polite and friendly, sometimes it's hard to get their attention, especially when things start to pick up. The restaurant is not big, but around lunch time gets pretty busy. It's a comfortable space, nothing fancy. We ordered the pad see ew and khao soi. Pad see ew was good, had nice flavours. Though it didnt come with the traditional large wide noodles. The khao soi was good as well, though again, had mixed canto fried noodles as the topping. Overall a good place to grab a quick bite.

Service was very quick and we were seated right away on a weekday night - wasn't busy at all - servers were friendly and made suggestions on what to order. The red chick curry was average at best, found the chicken on the dryer side of things. Pad Thai was also pretty average to me , nothing really stood out. Had Tom Yum soup as well, that was pretty tasty and had a nice spice kick to it (not pictured - as I forgot) Pricing and portions seemed fair - not sure if this was the best Thai in Toronto area, but I definitely have some better go to's in Vancouver. Overall, it's worth a try - however, I'd probably try something else next time, since I'm not local.

Both the coconut curry and tamarind coconut red curry have very rich, creamy, and flavourful sauces. We had the spice level mild for both dishes, but that was still too hot for me, personally. That has nothing wrong to do with the dishes, but just my personal tolerance level. The coconut curry was a treat to eat. The pork jowl was very gummy and chewy. There was also a fried, battered leaf in the dish to provide a crunchy texture to the dish. The tamarind curry was equally as good. The braised beef was a little sweet and tender. There are also nuts in the dish to provide that crunchy texture. The tofu spring rolls we ordered provided much needed relief from the spiciness of the curry dishes. I would have some spring rolls in between to help subside the spicy sensation of the chilis. The spring rolls was surprisingly filling. Our group of 2 was not able to finish all of the tofu rolls and had to take some home. We ended the dish with a delightful order of mango sticky rice. It was another order that helped counteract the the spicy, burning sensation my tongue was having. We appriciated the vibe and look of the place. There were properly thought out furnishings around the space and the walls. Service was also top tier. Our waiter was very patient explaning the dish description, the spice levels, and also saying how the dish is pronounced.

When we called in around 2pm to reserve 6pm table, they were full, only have a spot at 5:30pm and dining time for 1.5 hours. They were pretty busy when we arrived around 5:45pm. And so many people waited outside for tables. We were lucky to book it in advanced. The server was so nice and patient to introduce the popular dishes to us. I couldn't tell by the name of the dish, but I remember what she told me the good ones. The App we ordered the shrimp rolls (Goong Moun $15.95). There were 4 big rolls. The meat was shrimp and port mixed, a little bit spicy and salty. You must dip the fish sweet sauce together, that would make it tasty and not that salty. The main we got a pork curry dish and Tom Yum beef mild (Leng Tom Yum $35.95). My little girl loved the beef without the Tom Yum sauce so much. But I liked the curry sauce more, however, there was no veggies in it. This one was a bit expensive (Kor Moo Gaeng Kua $25.95) with a few pieces of pork only. The 2 main dishes were both come with rice. We ended up with packing up the rice and the sauce home for another meal. It's really tasty meal, and we would definitely come back again for other dishes.
