Mediocre service and horrible customer experience! My mom, sister and I have been going to Nailtastic on and off for the past 2 years. I'll say the results really depend on how busy they are (definitely don't go around the holidays - you mani/pedi won't last a past 2-3 days) and which person you get (which is why my sister stopped going). Despite this variability, and the fact that their appointments hardly ever run on time, we continued to go back because of the convenience and proximity to us. Let me tell you - NEVER AGAIN after the rude service and bad customer experience I just had - let me explain: On my last visit, I bought two $50 gift certificates, but unfortunately my mom threw the one I gave her away thinking it was a receipt. Luckily I had the receipts for both certificates with time-stamps and the amount that I paid for them. I went to Nailtastic today thinking it would be a simple voiding of the old certificate and issuing another. To my dismay, the owner dismissed what I said without even looking at my receipts. The woman who processed my interaction was also there, and she said they can't do anything because what if "someone" showed up with the old certificate. I told them to void it - as it was me who purchased the certificate (showing proof) and that I would happily pay for it if someone did fish it out of our trash (??) and show up to claim the services. It's similar to voiding a credit gift card after you've lost it if you have proof of purchase. Long story short, after a lot of back and forth of me trying to logically explain this concept, the owner just walked away, and the other woman said "sorry, this is our policy". I asked them if they're willing to lose 2 long-term customers over this - to which they had no response. Anyway, we'll be taking our business to one of the other 20 nail salons in Burbank, and hopefully one with more dependable service and better integrity. read more

This was my first time here and I loved it. I payed 68 in total for a reg pedi and acrylic nails, reasonable pricing. But one flaw was that they kept booking people and they were running out of space so they should be more on top of their game. Other than that I recommend this place ! read more

If you purchase a discount (like through Groupon or Living Social), I recommend NOT telling them when you schedule. AND don't mention it till you pay. They will not treat you the same. I was about to schedule an appointment, went through the confirmation of the time and she asked what I was going to get. I made the mistake of saying, "I have a Groupon for..." and she said, "Oh wait... I need to talk to my manager..." She came back and said they won't do it on a weakend, even though they clearly had the time to do it. Also, you get a rushed job if they know it's a Groupon when you go. They don't want to spend the same time and care if you're not paying their full price. I don't think it should be that way. If they're advertising the SAME SERVICE, just at a promotional rate, they should give you the the SAME SERVICE. I will not go back. read more

Great experience here. I didn't experience a long wait time having made an appointment (some reviews designate a long wait), but maybe I just didn't happen to be there when they were overly busy? I'm not sure of the young man's name who did my gel pedicure, but he was really fantastic. Great at shaping my toenails which I typically keep fairly short in general, and he also had an extremely gentle hand. I don't particularly like people touching my feet unless it's a boyfriend, so that's saying something even if it seems insignificant to you. I just got the nails done today so I can't comment yet on how long it's lasted. Reasonably priced - 33$ for gel and that included removal of the gel I had prior. I'm docking it one star because I paid by debit card for the actual service (they don't take tips via cc, FYI, so have cash on hand to tip) and they told me it was a dollar more for cc. Come on. It wasn't a 6$ charge with a huge credit transaction fee attached to it. You should be able to handle whatever transaction fee the credit company charges you when someone is paying over 30$ for a service. Otherwise everyone was very friendly and nice. read more

I had an amazing experience at NAILTASTIC . The staff is friendly and professional. They have a wide variety of OPI and ESSIE colors not to mention their gel nail polish options. Don't risk going to this place. Linh/majority of the staff act like unhappy bullies even when at fault. Go to another salon with a kind staff that makes you feel comfortable. * EDIT to the owner's response * It was NOT about the $3 as you made it a need to mention. It was about the PRINCIPLE. Do not minimize the situation. The issue is not only the services alone but on how a business owner can execute horrible treatment. Wasn't going to tell the story but here it goes. You overcharged me on my first visit and promised to credit it the next time and I TRUSTED that. The next time I went in, you demanded proof. You aren't allowed to overcharge customers to begin with. I tipped even under these circumstances because I believe in karma. As many reviews mention, your customer service is repulsive so please don't act like a victim because it's wrong. read more

Just left this place! The location and parking are amazing! It's located in a plaza so parking is not an issue. As I walked in, I was greeted by a young lady and was asked if I'd like something to drink! I have never done anything around the area in which I live, so it was nice! The salon was super clean, nice and relaxing music! The nail nech who did my pedicure did such an amazing job! I am so picky! So when I say square I mean square:) ! A few thoughts...great location. Ample parking. Cool. Close to home, even better. Prices? A bit on the expensive side. I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. Even had them do a wax service on my eyebrows. Waxing was ok. Not bad, not great, just ok. Pedicure looks good. Manicure - paint job is already starting to fade...and I only got this done 4 days ago. Not sure if I will come back or not. And I really wanted to like this place too. That is the disappointing part. read more

I can't believe the nerve of this place, I have been a customer for a year now and I'm always patience and polite, but this was so rude of them to do and they always kinda try to do a few people at at time sometimes they will start a process on one person and then continue on me but Lana or whatever her name is literally did someone entire manicure that came 20 min after me while I was waiting for my sns to come off and it has been way to long at this point. I will NEVER come here again and I'm pretty sure they won't last with that kind of service. I walked away and didn't even do the sns because at this point I had waited 2 hours just paid for my removed and left. read more

Went here for the first time yesterday based on my mom's recommendation. When I was seated, I asked if they had magazines. The staff who seated me said yes and promised to get me one. I never got the magazine and even asked if I could get up to get one. They again said they would do it for me and they never did. Next, one of the staff doing my pedicure randomly picked up her phone and took a picture of me. I asked what she was doing and she said she was testing her phone because it was recently replaced and she wanted to capture a photo of bright colors (I was wearing purple). I wasn't happy with this at all, especially when it was right in the middle of my pedicure. The guy doing my fills was not friendly at all. Like didn't even talk at all. Just started working on my fills without asking if I wanted them shortened or anything. I had to tell him before he got too far in the process, which is unusual. The worst part was the checkout. I had called before my appointment and asked how much it was for fills and a pedicure ($18 and $17). When I was checking out, the charge was $47 which didn't make sense. I had gotten fills and a pedicure and 10 minutes extra massage. That was $45. When I asked, they said there was a $2 charge for shortening my nails! Uhhhh what?! When I disputed that, saying I was never informed by the silent guy when I asked for them to be shortened, they said he was new. Not my problem. Then they said the shortening charge is on the menu of services. I pulled it out and nowhere on it is it indicated they charge for that. And who charges for that anyway?! On top of that they wanted to charge me $1 for using credit card, which is illegal. As a business owner I know that I can't charge a fee like that. You can give a cash discount, but you can't ding people for using a credit card. Unfortunately people pay those charges without disputing them but I refused to pay it yesterday along with the $2 charge for shortening. In the end they removed those charges, but I won't be going back. Why go there when I can pay the same at Alynn's a few minutes away, get a 12 minute massage for $10 versus the 10 minutes here, and know that I won't get hidden charges upon checkout in addition to good customer service? They did a good job on the nails, but the drama was not worth it. read more

So I've been coming here since March and this review has been long overdue. I was first recommended by a coworker to come here and she told me to set up an appointment. But here is what I have got to say, this is my go to spot. The staff is so nice and friendly and they get a chance to know you. I know that for some nail salons from previous experiences, the manicurist doesn't even talk. But these people make the effort to ask how your days going and I personally think that it how it should be! I get someone different to do my nails sometimes but I cannot complain of the ending result. My nails have lasted over 3 weeks and sometimes even go to about 1 month. I usually get acrylics with gel and the acrylics can stay on for weeks without me even having to get a fill. There were times that I even had a regular manicure with gel polish. My first worry was that the gel polish would lift from my nails cause that would usually happen. Then my nails would only last less than 2 weeks :( But this place with their gel polish, it has lasted me for about a month. I can confidently vouch and say that they are gel experts! I get my pedicures done by Vee and she does such a great job at it. With my toes I get gel polish and it has lasted about 1 month and a week until I got it redone again. I told Vee that I go to the gym and she made sure that my pedicure would be perfect even though I would have to wear shoes at times. For my manicures, I've had pretty much everyone there and they have all done a wonderful job at it :D In the end, I do not care how much the price I pay for the service that I get. I personally do not think this place is expensive, I think it's affordable and especially worth the price that you pay for. To me, it all about the experience and these people have done a wonderful job at it. I always come here excited to get my nails done and then after I get extremely excited cause they look so beautiful. It wouldn't hurt to try this place at least once, you definitely will not regret it. Although I do recommend you guys to set up an appointment. They get really busy at random times and they have their employees trying their very best to acquaint to everyone's service. Even though they get busy, they make the effort to ask if I need water or anything to drink. I personally think this is great customer service! read more

I love Nailtastic! Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Sometimes it gets busy and they try to accommodate everyone so obviously if you can avoid evenings is best. But I really appreciate the care. Today they went the extra mile and helped me with the beginnings of an ingrown toenail that was forming from excessive running. I didn't get a pedicure because of it and they asked to look at it and fixed it free of charge! They used alcohol and cleaned everything very throughly. I learned from my mother in law...wherever Lyn goes,I follow. She's amazing at what she does. That said I have had my nails done by the other employees & they'd do fairly well. I realized that you kind of have to micromanage & tell them exactly what you want,if not they'll do what they feel looks good. Which is okay because like any place ,every person has their own way of working. What may not work for me(thick acrylic nails) may work for others. I've never really had to wait more than 10 minutes to get my nails done for an appointment I made. If anything they have to wait on my because I never know what color I want. read more

Came to see my best friend for our birthdays, I live 3 hours away.... we thought it would be nice to get our nails done together. She has always comes here and hasn't had any issues. I had a gel pedicure and the nail tech literally cut my toe and it bled and bled, and she pretended it didn't happen. Never acknowledged it or apologized. I also had dip powder nails and the lady was extremely rude!! She made every single nail a different length and shape. When she was done, She told me "go get up and wash your hands" in a rude tone. When we complained she said it was my fault she asked if they were ok in front of the whole salon. What an experience this was... I'd give this place one star but shout out to Lynn (the manager) who took me back and made sure my nails were fixed and apologized. She was very accommodating and the only reason this visit wasn't a total fail. (She's actually great) If you read the reviews they're not great, but maybe it's just the attitudes of the staff and customer service. read more

So disappointed. I really wanted to like this place because I just moved nearby. However, the service is sorely lacking. They overbook and has difficulty meeting all the clients appointments in a timely manner. I have been here for over 40 mins and still no service. I had an appointment as well and they took someone that walked in after me first. Where is the logic in that? Perhaps it's because I'm Asian and the other person is Caucasian. Whatever it is, I will not be returning. I hope they seriously read the reviews and improve. All the best to them and their customers. read more

Apparently this place has turned into the Super Cuts of Nail Salons. They literally get you in the chair and out as fast as possible. I just got the crummiest 15 minute pedicure. FIFTEEN MINUTES. As a stylist that is standing all week long I was looking forward to a nice HOT foot soak and pedicure. After specifically asking for hot water I dip my feet into just WARM water and the girl proceeds to half ass a pedicure. When she starts to paint my nails I had to point out that the nails were shaped/cut differently and if she could file or cut them to match. After she finished she grabs a paper and fans my feet for two seconds and then slides my feet into the disposable sandals and asks me to go wait in another area. Right after I see her walk out either for lunch or for the day.... Explains the crappy fast pedicure. Super disappointed with my experience. read more

Conveniently located next to a Starbucks and easy to find, with ample parking. It is a small shop but very comfortable chairs clean surroundings and friendly staff. Very modern Decour and nice TVs made it comfortable. Also had a very nice view of the burbank hillside. Linh is wonderful.
