Her tools were incredibly clean and she used a clean nail file for my hands and have it to me after our appointment was done. She gave me a custom nail color I really like by mixing several colors together and it couldn't have been better. I did hard gel on my nails with a Russian manicure and it was only $70 for everything which in my opinion is a very reasonable price. My nails were very weak from over drilling at other nail salons but they are starting to grow healthy thanks to the techniques Kesnia used. Will definitely come back to Kesnia!

She's meticulous with her work and honest when it comes to the kind of design or color you might be asking for. If you show her a photo of something you like, she will tell you if it can be done or not, and how it will come out based on what type of polish you are getting. I've come to her with ideas and have left both times with amazing nails (and endless compliments night I add - everyone always asks where I get them done) Van is a one woman show. She manages her own calendar and does both the manicures and pedicures as she works in a salon and is the only manicurist there. She is awesome! She's easy to talk to and you won't feel rushed during your appointment. The salon is easy to find, has plenty of street parking, and the hair stylists there are all friendly and welcoming. If you're going to book with Van, be sure to book ahead (like 3 weeks ahead) because she's just that amazing that her schedule books quick but she is accommodating and will make something work :)

What sets them apart from other places is that they really care about your nail health (won't overdrill/overbuff, very careful with removals, etc). For my birthday, my friend and I decided to get our nails done together, and I thought Organic Nail House was the best place to go. Julie was my tech that day, and she was absolutely lovely. I got hard gel nails done in Japan, and it took awhile to remove, but she handled it with such care. My nails still felt strong. I chose to do white 002 with #13 chrome and it turned out so beautiful!!! I am literally obsessed with this new color and can't stop looking at it in the light!!! I may want to just do this combination every single time!! The salon itself is a very relaxing environment. Especially coming on a weekday, it was extra peaceful and lovely. Also, the owners of this place were very nice and cleared up the misunderstanding we had during my first appt. I appreciated the genuine and kind follow up from them, which means a lot to me! I do love the quality of work they do here, and they'll continue to be my go-to nail salon!

I came back after a long nail break and today was my third and final visit. The last two appts were a little bit off, all the little things that used to make this my favorite place were hit or miss now, but today was almost insulting. The woman doing my pedicure right away seemed new and unsure about everything she was doing. Cool, I'm patient. But it wasn't really the relaxing vibe I was paying extra for- a lot of bumbling around, leaving the scrub on my legs until it started to itch, cleaning the whole basin while my legs were cold and wet instead of drying them first, stuff like that. I was really dying for some pampering today so all of that stunk, but fine. She barely took any length off my toenails despite asking her to cut them short not just file. The clipper hardly touched them. I had to ask her to go back again and she did and they are STILL longer than they should be. But the part that was insane: during my 10 minute leg "massage" (which was only 8 minutes), she was literally texting with one hand and half massaging me with the other for maybe half the time. I was staring right at her in disbelief. I should have said something but I honestly felt weird demanding she massage me better? I wanted to relax, and that would have felt so uncomfortable. At one point she was just absentmindedly scraping her fingernail up and down the bottom of my foot, totally lost in her phone. I've never experienced anything close to this here. When I paid, the woman at the desk asked how it was, and I hesitated (this woman was right next to me) but said, slowly "um... okaaaay, but" and she cut me off "great! You owe $53"- she obviously didn't care, so I decided not to bother. The polish is nice even if my toenails will have to be cut in maybe a week max. That sucks. I still tipped 15% since I usually tip 25 or 30 because they are usually that good, but now I wish I'd tipped less. Absolutely wild experience.
