This is my go to spot for manis and pedis. Its clean and they are super friendly and will squeeze you in even when it's close to closing time... I tend to be a bit last minute. Totally awesome service. They have tons of color options and if you forget to bring sandals they take care of that and provide you with paper sandals so you don't mess up those pretty toes. :) read more

So I don't go to the salon anymore, haven't gone for the past year. The last time I went to get anything done was a gel manicure, which Jessica did for me and I noticed that she is always with some kind of attitude they most of the time seem to have something up there butt, I always try to warm up to them. She didn't seem to take her time to do my nails but it was really quick which I didn't like. Now I go to Lucky nails here in Oxnard by grocery outlet don't know the street name, but they are super nice they aren't expensive at all I get a gel manicure for $15 and let me tell you, I've gone at least six times and every single time they do such a great job they take their time they're very detailed and they make sure your nails come out great. The last time I went was a week ago for a French pedicure and he did a good job also, and charged me $23 I am so glad I don't go to nails obsession anymore they overcharge they don't care, if they want to charge a bad job you have the right to not pay also. read more

Been going to Nails Obsession for a while now and love it! Randy, Annie and Jessica are the friendliest and funniest people. They make your nail experience a good one. Jessica is great! She does all the nail designs and is always willing to try anything you ask and will fix it if you don't like it. They have really stepped up their nail polish color game, they now have a whole wall full of gel colors and regular colors. Their prices are consistent unlike some other nail salons (nails envy). The decor is a bit dated but that's a small thing in comparison to the quality of service. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a new nail salon. read more

Stopped my here to get a quick mani and pedi on my lunch break yesterday. I was super satisfied! I was in and out, with beautiful nails. The two ladies doing my nails were actually having a conversation with ME, rather then jus with each other like most other nail salons. Been here a couple times. Never had a bad experience until I got a mani and acrylics from the older gentleman who works at the front desk. It wasn't just the fact he made me bleed and didn't apologize, but it began when he used a topical treatment that literally burned my skin. I tried to tell him calmly it was hurting, especially on the area where he previously broke my skin, but instead of trying to ease my pain, his response was "oh it's supposed to burn," and carried on. I'm a pretty understanding, patient person, but I had to mention this experience. Not diminishing the light on the salon or their workers, I just wouldn't recommend getting services from this man in particular. read more

I went here last week. And my half my nails have fell off already. I went in for a regular full set and was disappointed. The lady who did my nails was rushed and keep going back in for liquid and left my nails wet, thin and brittle. I got regular polish and she didn't even bother to clean around the nails. They were lumpy and spots of nails weren't fully covered with acrylic. I was charged 37 for them. When I normally pay 40 for gel and a full set. Will​ nor be returning at all. read more

The older lady that works there has no idea how to remove gel from acrylic nails. She ruined a fresh new set and "fixed it" by just putting powder over what the acetone had dissolved. I kept telling her to remove the gel with the drill but she said the only way to remove gel was by soaking acrylic nails in acetone! Never again. Oh and when i paid I wasn't going to leave her a tip but she added $5 to my total regardless. read more

After a long, difficult work week I thought I'd treat myself to a pedicure. I looked at yelp and found this place - they had a lot of good reviews so I called to make an appointment. When I arrived - a couple of minutes early for my appointment - I told them I had an appointment and they asked me to select a color. After that they did not say another word until someone else came in and asked about getting their nails done. They told them it would be a 15 minute wait. At that point I asked if I was also going to have to wait an additional 15 minutes - I had already been waiting about 10 minutes at that point. I told them - again - that I made an appointment and they said "it'll just be a few more minutes". Why did I go to the trouble of making an appointment to sit and wait. I left - won't be going back. Customer service is non-existent at this place. The only reason they got 1 star is because I wouldn't be able to post this review without it. I would love to give them 6 piles of dog poop read more

Bad service. My first time going and I went because of the good reviews. Wanted a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I was told that they had matching gel colors for all the polish on the wall -- not true. Walked out in two different shades of pink. I told the nail guy I didn't like it and that my hands and feet were different colors and he was very rude to me. Don't go!! I found this place on yelp and I'm super glad I came here. I got here near closing time the staff was so nice and accomodating they stayed pass closing time just to take care of my nails and pedi and they ended up closing at 10pm just for me! The pedicure and massage was very thorough and Annie was able to take out my ingrown nail. The pedi for my little daughter was only 15 and they gave her a free design. Lots of beautiful gel colors and polishes.. My polishes stayed on for 3 weeks!! Make an appt because this place gets super busy. I took my wife here for the first time and the staff were very polite and attentive the entire time we were here. If you don't have an appointment don't worry they always try to fit you in. This place gets packed so be sure to be patient if you want quality work because you won't get this anywhere else! Price is cheap and decent compared to some places we been to. If you want nicely done designs it will cost a little extra but worth it. The massage chairs are also great...highly recommend this place!!! read more

Everyone who worked at this place was very nice and friendly except for the girl who did my daughter's nails. She probably took about 15 minutes or so to do my daughters nails which came out ok. While we were telling her what we wanted this girl was super curt. Also, for most of the time she had a another girl sitting next to them which I assumed they were friends since this girl would help some of the staff and they would call her by her name. Both of them they kept talking and talking....it was super annoying. Once my daughter stands up, this girl starts working on her friend nail. At this point I'm paying and being helped out by another person who works there. The girl who did my daughters nails said bye then whispered something to her friend and started laughing while looking at us. So at this point my first thought was she's saying bye so she can get a tip. So she got a very, very small tip. Was considering on doing my nails at this place some time in the future since they had good reviews. However, after this it doesn't seem like the best place to spend more of my money. I don't go to the nail salon to make friends but I do paying for my service so I do expect some respect. 1 stars due to the lack of customer service and rushing to do my daughters nails. read more

if i could rate this place zero stars i would. i came in for a regular polish full set that is set to $23...i asked how much gel was and he said $35 i said no thanks and stuck to regular polish. he then started using his tool machine and kept hitting my skin and i would clearly flinch and he did not seem to care one bit. he glued the tips on my nails and asked how much to cut. i said medium, he then told me it would be an extra charge for medium length to $35 and i expressed to him i have never heard of that ive been doing my nails for 8 years!! he was trying to take advantage of me. he then told me for short nails $25 and if i wanted the price of $23 " they would be very short and i would not like them". what a joke how do you jump your price for the length of acrylic nails from apparently " $35 to $25 to $23 !! he obviously was trying to scam me anyway he could. i told him no and that i would not get my nails done there. p.s this place is super run down, dirty old tools are visible, and a lot of their polishes are super old thick and chunky. do not waste your money in this run down dirty shop. read more
