I went to TD Nail Studio in Oxnard on 3/30/26 for a French tip manicure and pedicure, and this was honestly a very uncomfortable and disappointing experience. While getting my pedicure, the technician asked me if everything looked okay. I politely pointed out a few small things that could be fixed--nothing rude, just answering the question I was asked. Another technician (who was working on my hands) interrupted and said, "we're not robots," which immediately made me feel uncomfortable for simply giving feedback. I understand that no service is perfect, but if you're asking a client for their opinion, they should be able to answer honestly without being made to feel like a problem. The technician doing my toes reassured me that it was okay to speak up, but the environment already felt tense after that comment. At one point, I even asked if there was someone else who could do the French tips more precisely, and I was completely ignored. No one offered help or tried to accommodate the request. Later on, when I was asked again how things looked, the same technician made a sarcastic remark ("bingo, you finally figured it out"), which was unprofessional and unnecessary. Because of this, when it came time to do the French tips on my hands, I ended up telling her to just leave them nude. I didn't feel comfortable continuing with the design after how I had been spoken to, which completely defeats the purpose of going in for a specific service. I did express, respectfully, why I was upset. I communicated what I wanted, and instead of being accommodated, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional comments. After leaving, I called the salon to explain how I felt because I initially wanted to come back in and have my nails fixed. I spoke with Melanie, who asked if my toes were okay. I told her I needed to get home and take a closer look first. Once I did, I realized how poorly they turned out. At this point, I no longer feel comfortable going back, and honestly the only resolution that would feel fair is a refund. As you can see in the photos, the results didn't match what I asked for, especially with the French tips on my toes, and I didn't even receive the design I originally wanted on my hands. As a paying customer, I should be able to communicate how I want my nails done without being spoken to disrespectfully or made to feel like a problem. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here and I feel asking for a refund isn't unreasonable since I was ignored when I asked if someone else can do the work more precisely. This was honestly one of the worst nail salon experiences I've had. My friend and I came in expecting decent service, but the quality was terrible. They couldn't even do a simple design or a basic French tip, even though I showed clear picture references of exactly what I wanted. My nails had to be redone multiple times and it was still wrong. The whole appointment took way longer than it should have, and it felt like no one really knew what they were doing. On top of that, I paid $82 for nails I'm completely unhappy with. I was a walk in. They told me it would be 5-10 minutes wait. I said," ok". 15 minutes later they sat me down I waited another 10 minutes. I asked how much longer and they said, "5 minutes later". Steve was so wonderful and thorough and did a great job prepping my nails, applying the tips and builder gel, and helping me map out my colors. However, the colors were applied unevenly. the nail surface has a very dissatisfying globby appearance. I got a milky white base and glitter ombré; beautiful design, but There is no smooth taper. It is Thick and globby at the base. He was so sweet and helpful; but i dropped $ on a nail job that I will now have to drop even more $ to get redone somewhere else. They look good from a distance but upon closer look it's a yikes. I really can't stand them. He was very helpful and kind, and the design would've been amazing if it were applied more smoothly and evenly. Really bummed, and really hope TD nail studio will get me my money back. read more

I was charged an extra $5 for my daughters manicure because she picked 5 different colors for her nails. Is this normal? I asked the price when we arrived and was told $40 for soft gel nails, but when I went to pay it went up to $45 because of the 5 different colors. Just asking because as a dad, I have no idea. This was my first time going to TD Nails Salon. I got a pedicure from Joey today. I am VERY happy and I LOVE my fancy nails. Joey is the best, and if you go there, I recommend making an appointment with him. I'll be coming back here :) . The woman at the desk was really nice and helpful. I also requested for my toe nails to be cut shorter, he didn't answer me. His coworker assured me that it "got it!" No he didn't. The location is super convenient, and I actually had a okay pedicure (despite sloppy polish application). However, my manicure was the absolute worst experience EVER. I went in for a pedicure and gel x manicure. The pedicure was okay, with a very friendly nail tech who was very thorough except for the paint job. The manicure was done simultaneously, and was absolutely horrendous. She sloppily applied my gel x nail extensions, got glue all over my fingers (even on my finger tips and below my knuckle), then proceeded to use a random color of her choice that she insisted would match my toes once dry, and finally took out a nail drill and started drilling my SKIN to remove the out of pglue and polish. She lacked the skill or precision to be able to do this Russian manicure style, and instead, she cut 7 out of 10 fingers, complained that my skin is too thin (??? W T actual F). Once she decided she was done, she slathered cuticle oil all over my fingers in an effort to hide the glue, and then simply got up and walked away without a word. I still had glue all over my hands, gel polish on my skin, and an overall manicure that was unsanitary, extremely painful, and ugly. They should absolutely fire this nail tech, because the work was so sloppy and unprofessional. Of course I took pics... take a look for yourself at the absolute dumpster fire of a manicure you'll get at this place. STAY AWAY! Edit: it took 2 days for this crappy nail job to start to fall apart. This nail tech did not even fully cure the nails. Seriously. Is she licensed? I feel like this needs to be reported for how horrible it was lmao read more

I wanted my nails done as I had not had them done in forever. I walked in but they were busy and they asked me to come back at 3pm. I agreed to come back as I was excited to check them out. This used to be Polish. They didn't seem too busy. The owner was nice but the receptionist not so much. I think she was shy not sure but she didn't really want to engage much. I do like the nails Lily did for me. I just didn't like that the tools didn't come from sanitized packs. Now, I haven't done my nails in years but I do remember that. My hands weren't soaked, no hand massage and the cuticle was removed with the drill. I do remember hating the cuticle cutting though because i would always get hurt. A new file or buffer weren't used. They used ones previously used sitting on manicurist's tray. It did kind of gross me out. Now I'm a germaphobe and I let this pass because Lily was sweet. She was so gentle while doing my nails. I do however think- tools should be sanitized, new buffer / file should be used each time and just overall needs improvement. They were sweet and offered me a drink. I didn't want to complain because they were lovely. I write this review in hopes they up their cleanliness game. It also appears there is no hot water. They must boil water first in a water kettle and pour it into the pedicure stations. I want to support this business as it is a mom and pop but it just needs to be more mindful of sanitizing all tools/ not reusing others. Fungus and other eeeekkks are no joke. I feel bad not giving them 5 stars but I must be honest. Cost $45 read more
